Let's talk out-of-character stuff here.

GM Frost |

Hello, everyone! Welcome to the game. Before we officially begin, I'd like to go over a few important instructions that will ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all:
1. Please sign up for the game on the provided Sign-Up Sheet (linked above) and enter the essential information your GM needs for your Chronicle: Player Name, Character Name, Organized Play Number, Character Number, among others. We will use the RPG Chronicles website for this purpose.
2. We will be using Google Slides for Slides and Encounter Maps. Please take a moment to fill out the required information on page 2 of Slides and Encounter Maps (linked above) for character and minion tokens, and marching order. Additionally, we will use Google Sheets for Macros. Make sure to update the Macros (linked above) on any available Sheet between Player 1 to Player 6 for your character’s basic information, core stats, and skill modifiers. This will help us start the game promptly.
3. To facilitate easy reference, ensure your character's stat block/header includes the following information: Hit Points (HP), Armor Class (AC), Saving Throws (Fortitude, Reflex, and Will), Perception bonus, and Speed.
4. If you need area templates (burst, cone, emanation, line) for your spell or aura, they can be found on pages 3 to 7 of the Slides mentioned earlier. You can copy and paste them onto the Encounter Map (linked in the initiative tracker during combat/encounter). These templates are already adjusted for the Encounter Map we will use, so no resizing is necessary. They are also available under my alias GM Frost as Area Templates.
5. Please be active in the game and make a post at least once every day, and once on weekends. As per the Organized Play Foundation Community Standards and Expectations, we adhere to the principle of "Explore, Report, Cooperate." Therefore, any non-consensual character-versus-character conflict is strictly prohibited. Before including fellow PCs in damaging effects, players must obtain their consent. Violating this rule may result in Infamy points and potential consequences for your character's playability. This rule does not apply in situations where a character is under the control of an NPC and forced to attack a fellow Pathfinder.
6. During combat, I will roll everyone’s initiative checks and we will use a block initiative system. PCs in the active block can post their actions, which I will usually resolve in the order they are posted. Players can choose to delay their actions until after another character has acted. For secret checks like Recall Knowledge, Seek, Hide, and others, I'll roll them behind the GM Screen. Please avoid looking at the GM Screen. Players will roll saving throws.
7. To make things clearer during Encounter Mode, please use the following symbols when labeling your actions on your post: ◆ for a single action, ◆◆ for a two-action activity, ◆◆◆ for a three-action activity, ↺ for a reaction, and ◇ for a free action.
8. To ensure that everyone feels comfortable and safe throughout our adventure, we’ll be using a safety tool called the X-Card to help maintain a positive gaming environment. The X-Card is a way for you to indicate if there's content in the game that makes you uncomfortable or if you need to address sensitive topics. If, at any point during the game, you encounter something that you'd like to change or address, you can: (a) simply include the phrase '[X-Card]' in your post, and I'll address it promptly; or (b) if you'd like to discuss it privately, feel free to send me a private message here on the Forums.
9. In play-by-post (PbP) games, regular posting keeps the game flowing smoothly. If you're unable to post for any reason, simply let us know, even if it's just to say you're unable to contribute at the moment. However, real-life obligations always take precedence. If you anticipate a prolonged absence, please inform us in advance. While I prefer not to "bot" or control your character in your absence, providing botting instructions can help keep the game moving in your absence.
10. Above all, remember that the goal is to have fun and enjoy the game together! :)
Thank you, and let's embark on this exciting adventure!

GM Frost |

I have six sign-ups for this game. It looks like three players haven't dotted in yet. For now, please fill out the Sign-Up Sheet, one of the sheets in the Macros, and the Slides linked above while we wait and before the game begins on the start date. Additionally, declare the provision you wish to take. If anyone has GM glyphs, this is your chance to share them with others for extra hero points.

![]() |

Hey all. Happy to join you. I'll be updating my profile ASAP, but Kohl is a pretty standard level 10 fighter/marshal.
I have 3 GM Glyphs to pass around.

![]() |

4 glyphs
Door Prize: 1d20 ⇒ 8
EDIT - and it appears my statblock needs updating...

GM Frost |

You can also begin introductions in the Gameplay thread to get it out of the way. Additionally, Paizo is giving away gift vouchers, so make sure you include your email address when you sign up. We will be rolling in advance due to the nature of our game (which is PbP) so that I can report any winners for this table before the deadline (June 17). Kindly roll a d20, and on a 19 or 20, you will win the gift voucher.
Give me a 19 or 20, please: 1d20 ⇒ 17

![]() |

One unnecessary glyph to add to the pile.
Singing for my Supper: 1d20 ⇒ 7
Jiki has three hirelings who almost never do anything. Will pick based on which of Medicine, Survival and Crafting we need most.

![]() |

Isaku has Expert Crafting and Master Medicine - both +15 but only Trained Survival (+10)

![]() |

I have Combat Mentor. It's the only reason I picked Vigilant Seal. ;)

![]() |

Also, very flexible about the marching order.
Eidolon is melee only, but he has a double-move-and-strike ability so he's pretty good at getting to the enemy regardless of positioning.
Raindrop just hangs at the back and tries not to get distracted from the mission.

GM Frost |

It looks like we'll be playing at a high tier for this scenario. Please adjust the base level stats of those PCs with the level bump, and ensure the changes are reflected in the Macros. Additionally, select some mentor boons offered by your fellow players.

![]() |

I can toss in a Magical Mentor (+2 to spell DCs, 1 extra spell slot of highest level).

GM Frost |

With the available glyphs, everyone starts with two hero points! We are going to start the game tomorrow and I would like the following to fill out what I need:
Jiki the Flatulist - Sign-Up Sheet, Slides, Macros
Hobbs Picklesmith - Sign-Up Sheet, Slides, Macros
Isaku Beru - Sign-Up Sheet, Slides, Macros
On the other hand, I would like those who haven't yet to roll a d20 for the door prize of Paizo gift vouchers.
Zarina Silvermist - Done
Tremendous Kohl - Done
Jiki the Flatulist - Done
Raindrop - Done
Hobbs Picklesmith - ???
Isaku Beru - Done
For PCs at the base level of this scenario, don't forget to adjust your stats with the Level Bump and Mentor boons, and reflect these changes in the Macros.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Combat Mentor and Magical Mentor.
Slides and RPG Chronicles done. I just need to do the Macros and adjust my statblock for the Level Bumps.
EDIT - All done. The macros also looks really spiffy.

Hobbs has Magical Mentor (Grand Archive)
While working with less experienced Pathfinder allies, you provide key spellcasting insights that augment your colleagues’
magic. Any PCs benefiting from a Level Bump and whose levels are lower than yours can prepare one additional spell of their
highest-level spell slot or cast one additional spell of their highest-level spell slot. When casting spells of a magical tradition that
is the same as the tradition you use for spellcasting, the affected PC also increases the Level Bump’s modifier to spell DCs to 2.
Normal: A Level Bump increases a PC’s spell DCs by 1, and it does not grant any additional spells prepared or spell slots.
Special: A PC can only benefit from two mentor boons.
I also have 2 glyphs to hand out but it looks like we have that covered already.

GM Frost |

On the other hand, I would like those who haven't yet to roll a d20 for the door prize of Paizo gift vouchers.
Zarina Silvermist - Done
Tremendous Kohl - Done
Jiki the Flatulist - Done
Raindrop - Done
Hobbs Picklesmith - ???
Isaku Beru - Done
Bumping this for Hobbs to roll 1d20 for door prize.

if someone wants my "Sampling ammunition" go ahead and claim it. I'm using a dueling pistol -- my ammunition is markedly different! :)

![]() |

I think unless there are special circumstances, I would succeed on entering my stance.
◆Dread Marshal Stance (Open, Stance) Prerequisites Marshal Dedication, trained in Intimidation Putting on a grim face for the battle ahead, you encourage your allies to strike fear into their foes with vicious attacks. When you use this action, attempt an Intimidation check. The DC is usually a standard-difficulty DC of your level, but the GM can assign a different DC based on the circumstances. The effect depends on the result of your check.
Critical Success Your marshal's aura increases to a 20-foot emanation, and it grants you and allies a status bonus to damage rolls equal to the number of weapon damage dice of the unarmed attack or weapon you are wielding that has the most weapon damage dice. When you or an ally in the aura critically hits an enemy with a Strike, that enemy is frightened 1.
Success As critical success, but your aura's size doesn't increase.
Failure You fail to enter the stance.
Critical Failure You fail to enter the stance and can't take this action again for 1 minute.
Standard DC for 10th Level is 27.

I will be traveling from June 26 to July 3. I expect to have computer access, but feel free to bot Jiki if necessary. He will usually use Lingering Composition and Courageous Anthem if they are not already in effect before casting a spell, or casting a spell and firing an arrow if Courageous Anthem is lingering. Feel free to use whatever magic seems appropriate.

![]() |

Jiki, if we survive this, I'm thinking of running the new 9-12 scenario (Tapestry of the Mind). Interested? You've played in all my 9-12 offerings so far :)

![]() |

Lifelink Surge is fast healing 8 at this level. :)
Also, can we please drop the Unnamed thing?
I don't see what's difficult about "Raindrop's eidolon" or "her eidolon" or just "the eidolon."
Sorry. I just went by what's on the combat tracker. I'll use "Eidolon" going forward. :)

![]() |

I have recruitment open in Cottonseed.

![]() |

Signed up and looking forward to it!

![]() |

322 will probably show up in a later scenario, but now we just get a hint about them still being out and about.

GM Frost |

Oh, so there's a related scenario with this one. Interesting. Never played 1E. Nothing is mentioned about 322 in this scenario.

![]() |

There are a couple appearances for 322 in 1e. I think the first one is in Serpent's Rise, where you play as Aspis agents.

![]() |

Now that's some rolling!!!

GM Frost |

I am happy that we are not going TPK for that last part, or so I thought. On the other hand, I would like you to check your details on the Sign-Up Sheet linked above as we are close to the end of the scenario. Well done to everyone!

![]() |

Everything looks fine.
Performance DC 24: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (11) + 22 = 33
And sounds fine. 24 gp, though Jiki thinks he could make some slight tweaks to make his song even better.

GM Frost |

Here are your chronicles. Thank you for playing the game. Apologies for the lapses on some parts of the game, this is my first time running a game at this level. The game is reported to HQ and will reflect in a day or two.

![]() |

Thanks for running!

![]() |

If by cool you mean out of left field then I concur. As far as I can tell we haven't seen anything of 322 since the final year of 1e and now 5 years later she turns out to be a member of the decemvirate. Also it seems that that boon from year 10, Liberator of 322 was forgotten entirely.
Thanks for running this for us GM Frost. Chronicle looks good.

![]() |

As far as I remember, 322 was trying to escape Aslynn's influence by Season 10. And which module did the Liberator of 322 boon come from.
This is one I so have to run for our local lodge sometime to see if anyone twigs to the 322 connection.
