Sir Miles - what is your Recovery DC?
And, the outcome of your check result?

QM rainzax |

Sir Miles condition worsens.
Dorenea dodges Ezren's frosty ray.
The party continues to struggle on with two of their best fighters down!
Again, whatever foulness stirs below continues - the dirt lump on the ground struggles some more... still nothing yet emerges yet...
Dorenea again takes easy prey - Endra!

Flory sighs. ”The best laid plans…”, she muses.
Then she looks at Sir Miles. ”…have a silver lining”
She moves closer to the fray, and makes sewing motions in the air. The spider’s bleeding stops.
Stride, Cast stabilize on Sir Miles

Endra is a scout by training. Close-up brawls are not really her thing. But seeing Miles on the ground brings out a sudden necessity in her. She begins viciously slashing at Dorenea.

Flory and Ezren are Up!

![]() |

Hey, I won't have the chance to do much again, but I do have a holy water on my body. It may not matter due action economy efficiencies. Also Jaehaera is only wounded 1. Flory treated wounds after the first fight, and a successful Treat Wounds removes the wounded condition, and no matter how I went down, you only increase the wounded condition by 1 after being brought down. To get Wounded 2, or 3, I'd have to fall, be brought back up and fall again without having Treat Wounds

Flory turns to Dorenea, and her cloak billows around her. She gestures, and it lashes out at the zombie.

Ezren's icy blast chills her fetid flesh. (10 damage total)

Dorenea loses an entire leg to Ezren's frost - it freezes right off! - crashing to the ground and shattering into a million icy shards.
The spine that lashes forth from Flory eviscerates her - would she was alive, spilled entrails would spell her end! Instead, she struggles on without guts in her center, desperate to snuff out the last two lights of the party, then feast on the remains!
Eyeballing the two, she gives one-legged lumbering chase (-10 speed) towards Ezren or Flory?: 1d6 ⇒ 6 Flory!

Ezren is rattled by the zombie-sans-one-leg approaching so close to him. He steps away and again aims his frosty-eyes at her.

Dorenea shambles upon single leg, unexpectedly dodging Ezren's ray narrowly!
Flory is Up!

![]() |

Flory smiles at the zombie’s approach. ”Come into my parlor…”
Her cloak lashes out, floating around at her shoulders.
Cast gouging claw, shield
Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 1) = 8

![]() |

Flory is staggered by the zombie’s near-fatal blow, but still keeps her wits about her. When their foe lurches away from Ezren’s spell, she whips her cloak into its path, the hem tearing through the rotting flesh like a hot knife. The upper half tumbles to the ground with a wet squish, the lower half soon afterwards.

QM rainzax |

And with that, a harrowed dog emerges from the pile of rubble... and runs away!
Beneath where he was digging, yet another corpse.
But the island is silent.
And the witch and the wizard have time to revive the fallen spider, the twice-fallen fighter, and the twice-fallen investigator, patch up their wounds, and leave alive without further incident.

![]() |

Endra is still catching her breath as her wounds are tended to.
Let's not do that again...
She looks over the zombie for any proof that might help when they report back.
I presume we can head back to report on the full loss of his team, or do we need to chase the dog?
