I misread the Vitality Lash description on my previous turn. Instead of an attack roll, it requires a DC 17 Fort save. Apologies for the confusion.
Trembling with rage (and fear; let's be honest here), Auntie Wu steps back from the fearsome not-ravens and sends another Vitality Lash at them, this time targeting the one with the purple aura. "Hang on Vekka!" I'll heal you as soon as I can, but these...are doom.

"Don't worry about me- we have to find Darius and Hai Er-Hua!" He already lost her mother, and she volunteered to fight. He has to help them. Luckily he knows this neighborhood well, and quickly looks for Darius's favorite shortcuts through the district.

After the battle Vekka sheaths his sword and is quiet for some time. He seems to be very deliberately quietly shaking the experience off. It's hard to tell from the outside if it's working.

Once back at Aunty's home, Kazuki looks for a spot to rest.
"What a rough couple of days." he says with a yawn.
"I just need a clear spot in the corner, Auntie."
He sets himself down and leans back against the wall. Within moments, Kazuki is sound asleep and snoring softly.

Sigurd. Darius. Sigurd. Darius. Sometimes in the heat of battle, Sigurd gets lost within his own mind and identity.
"There you are, Darius!" Sigurd holds the boy's hand as they return. "Hai Er-Hua did a great job helping you, eh? I know she did." He nods to the woman. "With Willowshore in this shape we can't go alone."
Darius was but a lad when Sigurd and Sheela made their way to Tian-Xia. The siblings had the same dream: Kolphanir told them to return to their home, as their skills would be needed. Sigurd was a young acolyte of Shizuru and always wanted to see where her worship was strongest. Sheela was not as dedicated, but she saw a chance to make new friends and understand her gifts a bit better.
Darius was barely old enough to speak. He didn't remember their home at all. Or their parents. Their father bid them good luck, knowing his health wouldn't survive. But he was determined to pray for their safe passage.
Sigurd returns to Auntie Wu's home, waits to be allowed in, and makes his way for some pillows or small bedding. Something for Darius to rest his weary head.
What is that smell? It's like a spice, but like burnt leaf? Sigurd thinks it would be rude to ask, especially since Auntie Wu seems unfazed by it.
"We should set up a watch, just in case-" He sees Kazuki sleeping soundly. Oh well. "Kazuki Sato can take the last watch."
When he gets a chance, he makes sure to heal Auntie Wu, Mogu and himself. "Thank you for letting us sleep here for the evening. The fatigue is getting to us all."

Sigurd claims the first watch. Once it is time for rest, he takes off his medium hide armor and takes a rest.
Sigurd's AC is 16 without his armor. And of course his shield isn't strapped as he rests.

Vekka is a little surprised when, after they find Darius again, the boy takes his hand.
Oh! It made sense with present danger, but otherwise he tended to be a little strange to kids around town.
Thank you for opening your home to us, Auntie Wu. We've been through a lot and this rest will do us good.

Kazuki's sleep is interrupted at times by nightmares.
"Zzzzzzz... Crimson mist... zzzzzzzz... Oh, no! Phantoms!... zzzzzzzz... giant, evil hummingbirds... Zzzzzzzzz..."

"Of course! Of course. Let's see... I've got some extra blankets here, and a nice, fresh pile of hay for bedding..." Auntie Wu bustles about, setting up sleeping spots for her companions and surreptitiously squishing the few remaining spiders she finds. She tries to keep herself busy enough that she doesn't have time to think about how dangerous her own house has become.
She certainly doesn't want Darius to be too frightened to sleep. She makes a point to introduce him to her mushroom hat. "Darius, this is Mogu. He likes warm hugs and snuggles. Mogu, keep Darius company for a bit, will you, dear?" Mogu nods and hops down to cuddle with Darius.
Finally, she can put off nodding off no longer. Her guests are asleep, Sigurd is on watch, she's had a smoke, and she's stocked her bag with as much of her special tea and whatnot as she can. She needs some rest before her turn on third watch comes. She doffs her leather armor and crawls into bed, making sure her shield is beside her before falling into an exhausted sleep.
That leaves Ho Lan with fourth watch.

He sets himself down and leans back against the wall. Within moments, Kazuki is sound asleep and snoring softly.
After removing his armor, of course.

Lan is sitting in the dark, his mind still cloudy from being woken up in the middle of the night. The wind is whistling outside, but Lan's not as delicate as his detractors say, he's not afraid of ... WAS THAT A FOOTSTEP?!
Lan's eyes open wide with alarm. No, that was just a civet. He almost forgot that there are wild animals here in the jungles of Southside.
He checks his pants - they're barely wet. Crisis averte-OH MY GODS THAT WAS DEFINITELY A FOOTSTEP!
And it was closer than before.
Lan rushes over to Sigurd, and hastily shakes him, then runs towards Kazuki.
