Freeman and Drone stand fast and attempt to blast the closest one.

Freeman and Drone resume their competition, and it's Freeman who takes the lead by scoring a single hit, against all misses for the drone.

The heap of limbs and heads moves up to Freeman, and one of the heads takes a bite at the drone

The other one shuffles up to the Shirren scouting force, and tries to bite him in the knee.

"Agreed, HunterKiller 42-5." Twila-5 remarks, drawing her static arc pistol in her other hand (she's still holding her tactical rotating pistol from earlier) as she tumbles forward to shoot around Freeman's shoulder at the yellowish conglomeration of body parts that's threatening him.

Arvoris moves into the room and takes a shot at Orange.

No day job for Arvoris. Players, if you could please update your current stamina and hit points, either in your status bar or in your posts, it makes it much easier to see who is in need of healing!

Jek takes out a Serum of healing, MK1, and uses it on themself, then holds their ground.

Mystic Cure: 1d8 ⇒ 7

Rattus seems to be unsure which 'between the eyes' to aim for, and end up shooting a gap between two heads. Hunterkiller stoically ams for the bulky center of mass, shaking up the mass of limbs as the sonic blast hits.

Twila and Arvoris follow suit with zap of electricity and blasts of laser fire, causing the lumbering mass to finally collapse.

In the meantime, Jekcedo is standing his ground against the other monster.

Freeman and Drone blast on, and this time drone gets ahead with an electrical hit that thoroughly messes up the heap of limbs and body parts.

Jekcedo keep up the 'bait them' defense, and the carrior dreg is more than willing to bite.

Jek falls to the floor causing a loud thumping sound, Making a nice trip hazard for the creature while leaving everyone else a clear shot at it.

HK moves in and the last standing creature becomes the target of its exterminate protocol.

Drone whistels somthing that makes Freeman smile as both unload on the last beastie...

Freeman uses the clear line of fire to take a shot at the exposed Dreg, and splatters is against the wall, making Freeman the clear winner of this round...

Freeman also takes a look around.
life science: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21

From the files, Lubose's obsession with the effects of death and undeath on organic materials—primarily living organic beings become apparent. They have performed frequent studies on a variety of medical and necromantic topics, including the extension of mortal life, and the reanimation of organic compounds, organs, and corpses after death or separation from their host bodies.

Additionally, there is the matter of the longest running test subject: adragonkin, who Lubose has kept “alive and healthy” for well over 50 years past the subject’s natural lifespan. This subject is not on the premises and was treated with the utmost care.

Arvoris also determines that 'alive and healthy' does not seem to be quite accurate. From the subtext and experimental descriptions, it's actually clear the test subject is not alive at all, but continues its existence as an undead corpsefolk.

That's really all there is to find here. Time to get out?

Freeman will assist Jek in any way he can. He would never abandon a good comrade and favored target of the enemies for forbidden knowledge. Never...

"And antigrav rotors as well!"

Twila-5 ensures that Jek is doing okay, then agrees that it's time to go. "This is plenty damning on its own. Let's make sure this info gets to Society HQ, and keep our eyes peeled for secret panels and whatnot as we leave. Maybe we take the stairs. That first elevator ride seemed way too short for the number of floors we were supposed to be going up."

Compassionate: Lets take care of our Meatball comrade first then go back to HQ.

Says HK with its metallic voice.

Interrogative: I Will Never Understand Meatball and What They Do For Love. it adds after reading about the Dragonkin's experimental subject.

"Yeah Meatball comrade Hunter Killer! I love that...Let's take care of him"

"I'll be fine once I sleep this off. "Hunter Killer and the Meatball Comrades" sounds like a good band name!"

No need to use the resolve or healing serum, Jek. If Arvoris saw you were down, he would have immediately healed you!

Mystic Cure on Jek: 3d8 + 4 ⇒ (3, 1, 7) + 4 = 15

Since the spell did not bring Jek up to full, Arvoris will transfer enough of his own hit points to Jek to bring him up to full hp.

Arvoris will then search the room, making sure the team has acquired all the evidence they need.

"As much as I've enjoyed this place, I think it's time to go."

Twila-5 slowly tilts her head in Arvoris's direction, blank-faced, as she passes on her way out the door.

Armed with incriminating evidence and a chunk of finitrium, the group rolls out through the elevator, ascending to the top of the building, then passing onto the next elevator back down. Without muss fuss, the front lobby spits the group back onto the street.

The group makes it back to Dr. Destructo's, where Karezen is sifting through records and merch while Top Down and the Strange Quarks are blasting over the speakers

The group picks up Karezen on the way out, and as planned, captain Argente is waiting with a fully loaded Ercinee, cargo headed for Absalom Station. How convenient. The captain shakes his head with a heavy sigh upon seeing Karezen Brought extra luggage, did you? Well, just makes sure its safely stowed in the overhead bin, if you catch my drift.

Back on the station, Celita personally debriefs the group in the Archive’s Cortex. As the group explains their methods and what has happened, she is clearly impressed You have been very effective in using non-violent solution until you were forced to defend yourself. That is impressive. What is even more impressive is the ore sample you brought. The information you have uncovered about Dayside... will be very useful in tipping off the media to bring the company down. Anonymously, of course.

She finishes up by saying: “You’ve dealt a blow to the Organization today, and made it possible for us to begin to puzzle out their goals and motives. Project Dawn bears further investigation, of course. Whatever it is, it’s sure to cause destruction and tremendous loss of life. The First Seeker will want it stopped. Excellent work.”
