Cal should also have taken the fire damage. He didn't move because when he missed the first Strike, he  took a second (spoiler 2). Same 12 damage, or rolled individually?

As the arrow flies through one of Kaz's images, Itka decides she needs to slow the archer down. Her shadow forms into a flyswatter, complete with a half-orc hand that proceeds to slap the archer silly. "Oh cool! It's following me!" She buzzes cheerily despite her new bruises.

Cal holds his ground and takes 12 damage of intense heat. He follows up with his own slice, critically slicing the cat. He then makes a quip that causes the archer to giggle, but the cat completely ignores it. Maybe it doesn't understand what he's saying. His followup swings wide.

Harsk hits the cat once and the cat yowls as the cold iron sinks a little deeper into the cat's hide.

Eleanax's Reflex Save: 1d20 + 16 - 2 ⇒ (13) + 16 - 2 = 27
Butterfree's Reflex Save: 1d20 + 14 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 14 + 1 - 2 = 17

Kaz decides to fly both the cat and the butterfly. The Elanax evades most of the blast but the woman is unable to avoid it.

BakBat backs Kaz up with an insult followed by scorching ray that almost knocks her out of the sky. "Question!" She raises a hand. "Do you think I'll come back as a stinky rat? Or maybe a garbage-eating seagull? Anyone wants to take bets?"

Harsk decides to quickly recover with one of the Society-offered potions.

Cal takes a swing at the orange-tinted creature and critically insult him. Too bad the creature ducks under his blade.

Gregaro Voth's voice cries out throughout the realm. "Freedom! I can weaken Qxal's forces somewhat..." Zak already feels the toxic sap weaken just a bit.

Zak steps to the side, where he's at least not completely surrounded.

As he does so he slices at the one pinned between him and Cal, the one the others have already hindered. Hopefully he can take it out and then he won't be surrounded at all.

While he does that, Kaz heals himself. Sharing each others' pain can be, well, a pain. But it does have its perks.

Kaz heals Zak, and Zak steps around to hit the Orange creature once. The sap flows through his veins, dealing 2d6 ⇒ (6, 5) = 11 Poison damage and rendering him even more clumsy.

"The traitor is all yours..." The orange creature looks at Cal, who frightened him, and BakBat who burned him. His rage settles on BakBat, who gets two claws raked across his arm.

Cal finds a critical weapon on the orange colored creature and drives a shank into him, finishing him off. He takes advantage and steps into a flanking position with Harsk, which is good because he would have missed otherwise. Orange is dead.

The creature in deep Green almost loses his footing as Cal stares him down. Green has taken 35 damage and is Frightened 2.

With the Pathfinder army pushing the Monarch's forces back, you all feel strengthened and bolstered, giving temporary reprieve against the enemy. You gain 15 temporary HP.

"Hmp. Thanks." Itka gives Cal a nod of appreciation for the healing. Despite the fact that his amorous tendencies remind her of the people she tried desperately to avoid when she was a slave, he sure puts that Grim Trophy to good use. As she chugs a healing potion, she muses: Hmp. As long as he doesn't look at *me* that way, we'll get along fine.

Harsk lets the enemy come to him, first.

BakBat realizes the bearded gnomes are Red Caps. They are fast, they heal quickly, and they love trampling foes with their steel toes. They have a weakness to cold iron weapons, and they also can be repelled by holy symbols. If you raise the symbol with an interact action, the Red Caps have to will themselves to not flee.

Speaking of which, the Red Caps giggle and rush into battle. The Red Cap in the Red Hat moves up to Harsk and raises its scythe high.
Scythe: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (8) + 15 = 23
Slashing: 1d10 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15

The Red Cap with Green pants juggles her scythe as she swings at Cal. "Nice hat you got there, fella. I'll take good care of it!" She licks her lips and cuts into him before he can prepare his defenses.
