Spellcraft trap door and west wall: 1d20 + 15 - 2 ⇒ (20) + 15 - 2 = 33 invisibility
@Brvheart, if you're saying there is something invisible hidden on the trap door and the west wall, I have See Invisiblity up...
brvheart
OK, you see a invisible chest is set in a secret trapdoor in the floor along the west wall
brvheart
I try to ID the two bottles that weren't Id'd and the desk.

Ok, I don't understand you again. Do you mean
1) that underneath the secret trapdoor (that we haven't opened yet), there is an invisible chest?2) There is a invisible chest sitting on top of the secret trapdoor?
3) There is a invisible chest somehow mounted in the structure of the secret trapdoor itself?
Ratel Dier
Knowing that understanding the magical items they find may make a difference between life and death, Ratel waits as those with the gift to understand such things investigate them. As he keeps a keen eye out, he tries to see the invisible things Terodius describes, but alas, to no avail.
brvheart
Not to you Thoron, but to those w/o darkvision it casts light in a 30' circle.
Ratel Dier
As the others sort out what is magical or what is invisible Ratel asks, Thoron. "Thoron, do you have a string, we could tie it around the small glowing stone and use it like a lantern."

1) but you can see an outline of the chest in magic.

The goblin bounces a few times on the bed while the others mill about. Then he bounces off the bed landing on his feet.
Anythin' you bigguns need help with? He moves around to see what everyone's doing. Recoiling from the creature.

Terodius starts asking for some help here:"Hey Fralk, quit being lazy and napping. I got a secret trapdoor here for you to play with... Also, check the desk carefully as well - there's something radiating magic inside." (and I figure the reason that @Brvheart gave no details is that there's a trap of some sort there as well, waiting for me to stick my nose into it...
...
"Yep, figure out how to get into the trapdoor and the desk... I think we have another invisible chest under the trapdoor, but we'll deal with that once we are in there...

If approached the ape will attempt to attack with 10' reach.
I missed this earlier, sorry. Given the red box is the ape's threatened area, we are going to have to take steps here...
To discourage the ape, Terodius uses his whip to drive it back...
RAW, this won't work "A whip deals no damage to any creature with an armor bonus of +1 or higher or a natural armor bonus of +3 or higher." However, some GM's let magic whips get around this limit... So @Brvheart can tell me if this works. If it doesn't I guess it's merciful longsword time...

Except what you are really looking for is intimidate, something your character has in spades. However, it seems to work a little too easily he thinks

The ape doesn't radiate magic, so it's not somebody polymorphed...
Terodius's eyes narrow - that went suspiciously easy. He asks the ape "Do you understand me?", first in common, then in orcish, and finally (taking a shot in the dark) in Abyssal...

you find the trap door no traps

"Slim" Jim
Still jittery after the dragon, Jim felt completely out of his depth with invisible things and traps everywhere. So he guarded the door while the others were checking things out.

Careful, the goblin considers how the desk might be trapped.

He chuckles before trying to open the drawers.

He scrutinizes the vessel shrewdly, eyeing it up and down. His blade caressing it every so gently, an ophidian tongue.

Uncertain as what to do with the ape, but satisfied it isn't currently a threat, Terodius heads back to the drawers that Fralk has opened, wondering if the rattling is something invisible... He inspects the drawers carefully, trying to figure out what is causing the rattling.
Ok, Terodius has see invisible, and there has been a LOT of invisble objects so far... Could be a hidden compartment or something though.

Deciding the magically locked door prevented any attacks, Ratel, remembering he saw another door, leaves the investigation to those who have a gif for it. Stepped out of the room, Leaving A14 to the north he investigates the other door in the cave. 13?
I moved him on the map to the door he's looking at. Is any more of that cave visible?

Ah, you were refering to room 30. The doors are affected by Hold portal and arcane locked.
Terodius Mitrakin
"There are far too many invisible objects in this complex; where are they all coming from? An invisible coffer upstairs, in this desk, a pair of invisible daggers, and a small invisible chest. Further, there is another invisible chest under the trapdoor in the previous room. We don't have enough glitterdust spells to let Fralk open them one at a time. Let's store them all in the portable hole, and then Fralk can open them all at once when we find a place to rest..."
Does anyone object to storing all the invisible stuff in the portable hole to be opened and identified later?
Ratel Dier
...Unless someone has a something we can attach the stone to.
Can't we tie a string to it and hang it from a spear :)
Returning back to the others in time to hear Terodius speak about the items that invisible, Ratel, listens, realizing he'd not considered the implications. There clearly was a lot of magic being 'thrown' around by someone. Chiming in he adds "And the door out in the cave is affected by Hold portal and arcane locked as well." He nods back to the other room, "So we've not opened the 'trapdoor and invisible chest' yet?"

Brvheart how heavy is the stand with the lighted stone? Unless someone has a something we can attach the stone to.
It only weighs a lb or two, but no the stone is not removable.

"Might be for the best" agreed Jim, "I have been practicing fighting with my eyes shut but it's not really the same..."

Realizing he cannot hurry 'magic' Ratel leans against the door frame, waiting to see if the wizards can deal with the invisible items or the magically sealed doors.
