Realistically, how much handwaving are we doing for shopping and whatnot? I'd really only be spending some gp on scribing scrolls and that's 2 hours per scroll.
How about outsourcing the scribing? I'm sure there are acolytes at the Sanctuary with nice handwriting. This way you don't have to split off from the rest of the group. Let's say 5 sp per scroll labour cost.

Well, I saw this after I posted. I ended up just tacking it on the evening after the reception. That made more sense anyhow, I think.
At some point I'd like for Dal and Abella to make a couple of cure scrolls, if we have time. At this point though, Dal has no idea she can cast those lol.

Brief slang note:
cast up [one's] accounts Vomit.
So, if we're doing a loot split of the 1500 gp reward, can we split out the promissory note at this time too? And perhaps sell the oil of keen edge, darkwood coffer, crystalline vial, and dose of silversheen? The wands of magic missile and acid splash I am figuring are gone with Lina and Garrett, unfortunately. Shrike wants to keep the adamantine arrowhead and re-attach it to an arrow, thus making something that can be used as a makeshift adamantine dagger. The only other valuable thing that we took as a group is the abalone holy symbol of Shelyn, which I presume Audria wants to hold onto.
If I get a yes or no on selling those things and splitting them out from 3/5 people, I'll mark them sold and give everyone a figure by the end of the day. Then I'll be able to do Shrike's bookkeeping too, pending word from the GM about finding her a weapon.

Good stuff. Okay, each player can add 2637.5 / 5 = 527.5 gp to their character sheet. I made a tab and color for Dal in the loot sheet and deleted Garrett and Lina's tabs.
Math for sold loot:
Small studded leather armor (50%) 12.5 gp (somehow this escaped being sold so far)
Darkwood coffer (50%) 50 gp
Oil of keen edge (50%) 375 gp
Silversheen (50%) 125 gp
Crystalline vial (50%) 25 gp
Promissory Note 500 gp
Gold Bars 1500 gp
Silver Chest 50 gp Total: 2637.5 gp / 5 = 527.5 gp each
Looking forward to replying to the branch spear elf tomorrow. What a story, GM! :) I had no expectations at all, and you turned it into a really cool moment.
Glad you liked it! I literally made it up as I was typing, started with the idea that it had a story, somehow wanted its first owner to be connected with famous women from Norse sagas (Unn the Deep-minded, although the only thing they have in common is the name), and went from there.

Shrike's bookkeeping since last time:
Previous cash: 535.28 gp
Loan to Dal: -30
Fashionable accessories: -20
Masterwork elven branched spear: -160
Third split: +527.5
Masterwork composite longbow, +2 Strength rating*: -600
Selling chain shirt (50%): +50
Selling heavy crossbow (50%): +25
Masterwork chain shirt: -250
New total: 77.78 gp
*She would buy this from the same elf in South Shore if at all possible. Market price, of course; she doesn't want to impose on the good will of the storyteller at all. I had planned to buy a composite longbow at Trapper's Hole in Gold Market right up until I noticed the description of beautifully made longbows etched with leaf and branch designs. :) But technically she won't have the cash to do this until after she has spoken with the rest of the party. So she will go back there before the end of the day if that's all right.
Hey y'all, I got a call from my mother a little bit ago. She's in the hospital. I don't think it's too serious, but then again, she's in the hospital. Just keep her in your prayers. I'm probably not going to post tomorrow or Friday.
Got an update. Turns out my mom has a gall stone, and they're going to be doing a couple of procedures to remove the stone and her gall bladder. She's in good spirits.

Ears of the City:
Casting
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M/DF (a small piece of a brick)
Effect Range touch
Target one creature
Duration 1 round/level
Saving Throw Will negates (harmless); Spell Resistance yes (harmless)
Description
The target of this spell sees and hears a stream of past scenes and pieces of conversations related to local people and events. The flashes are so brief that it is impossible to identify individual people or places, but when the target concentrates on a particular topic or individual, she can piece together a coherent narrative told in a multitude of changing voices in her mind.
Each round for the duration of the spell, the target can attempt a Diplomacy check to gather information as though she had spent 1d4 hours talking to local people. Since the information gathering doesn’t involve actual interaction with people, only observation, the target can use her Perception skill instead of her Diplomacy skill. While thus concentrating, the target is effectively blind and deaf.
Essentially, 1 round to act as though using gather information. And I could use Perception (a +8 bonus) in place of Diplomacy (a +0 bonus).

Glad to hear that your mom has a diagnosis and a plan, Audria. I hope the surgery goes well.
Happy to end this scene there if you like, GM. And she will buy the mentioned longbow there too with the reward money. Thank you, that was a great interlude.
So a little bit of an update. There's been a snag and we don't know what the plan is now. Long story short, an issue we thought had been resolved showed back up, and now they're postponing the procedures until they can resolve it.
Thank you for the support that y'all have given me. I appreciate it.
Wanted to give y'all an update. We're waiting on the hospital to give my mom an MRI to see if the gall stone has passed. Depending on what they see, they'll either go in for the stone, then take out her gall bladder the next day, or just take out her gall bladder if the stone's passed. Either way, we're looking at least Tuesday before she can come home, but more likely Wednesday to Thursday.
Thank you all for you patience and well wishes. I appreciate both. I hope that things will get to be more normal soon.
Halberd because it was the closest thing to a glaive that doesn't have reach.
Gladius because it's nice to have something heavier than a dagger but can be used while grappled. Besides, the idea that swords don't do piercing and slashing by default is kinda dumb. Well that and I figured Audria needed something as a backup to the longsword when I made her.
I have some good news. She had the MRI, and it came up good. She'll only need to undergo the one procedure. We're hoping she'll get to come home tomorrow if they can get her in for the procedure today.

I have a little thing I wrote up for two of the family-returnable Lambs, but I figured I should check if it was okay with you before posting it, GM. It's for the two gnomes we found sheltering in the Street Hole. I named them Diver and Pug as their gang names, but those probably aren't their real names.
Paragraph I was going to post:
It had sounded from Grau's awkward apology or confession that his sister and niece were in East Shore, and there are at least two Lambs who will admit to having family who might want them back in East Shore. The snub-nosed adolescent gnome boy the others call Pug, and his mute sister, Diver, had been orphaned indentures at the Horse Shop before Lamm nabbed them. Pug had shyly explained, between multiple embellishments and asides from Kizzy, that the gnome Hookshanks had lured them with the promise of lucrative part-time work doing magic for buskers and street entertainments before entrapping them in the gang with threats and violence, in order to use their gifts for pickpocketing instead; and that the human couple that owned the Horse Shop probably thought they had run away for a lark, and would be glad to have them and their ability to speak with particularly restive horses back. Diver's cuts and Pug's broken ribs are healed now thanks to the kindness of the priests at the Sanctuary, so they should be ready to return. There should be time to do so, and to at least begin looking for Tayce and Brienna Soldado, before Merula is due for rehearsal in midafternoon.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the first time Tally's humanoid form has been revealed to everyone right? It happened in one of the "spoiler adventures," right?

I didn't write anything for the two kids because I don't want to totally RP for them. If they don't say anything, Shrike will just walk into the Horse Shop yard(?) with them long enough to see them reach an adult, then we can move on. She wants to avoid long conversations and awkward questions.
