Please fill out the Macros link at the top of the Page.
The Macros link points to the gameplay thread for me, is this intended? I'm new to Paizo Forums PbP so I don't know exactly what that means.
I've got PbP experience at my local lodge forums and Discord though, so I'm not completely new to the playstyle. I'm still getting used to the forums syntax and conventions so please bear with me!

The Macros link should be fixed.
Let me know if you have any questions and I can help get you all situated.

![]() |

All good. Play who you will have fun with.

![]() |

I don't recall how to get myself and my character set up in the Players and Characters tabs. Assistance would be appreciated. :)
Just have to make a post in the Gameplay tab. This will add you to the game and also add the game to your Campaign's page.

Should have known it was that simple. :P

Also please add your tokens into the Tactical Map link at the top of the page.

For reference:
Jarith
Jinakka (Needs to check in, Macros, and Maps needs filled out)
Nix (Needs to check in, Macros, and Maps needs filled out)
Filara
Bo
Rosa (Needs to check in, Macros, and Maps needs filled out)

Jinakka was a placeholder, the character I intend to bring is currently in a PbP - I wasn't not sure it will be finished by then.

Jarith

Jarith
Jinakka (Dr. Cherie)
Filara
Bo
Rosa
We are all good. Thanks all!

![]() |

Will begin on this Saturday 6 pm CDT

![]() |

Dr. Cherie is reluctantly OK with splash damage as long as it doesn't drop her.

Backfire Mantle is always a great purchase. I have it on several characters now.

Oh this is indeed a lovely item. If a level 2 character were to have enough gold, say she didn't purchase that potency rune, could she? It's a level 3 item, and not listed on any of her chronicles.

![]() |

As a level 2 you would have to have it on a chronicle to purchase early.

![]() |

It is from your own personal funds. You will definitely need Smine's funds later.

![]() |

How are we with Diplomacy for Make an Impression? Jarith has a +5 modifier. If there are others that are better, he's content to start by clearing the road. Otherwise, he's willing to talk to some of the villagers for help.

![]() |

Filara is +6 with Diplo, you can spy on the party's modifiers from the macros sheet
Right, forgot about that.
In that case, Jarith will start cleaning the approach road.

![]() |

I don't understand time.
In the gameplay thread:
"Each activity takes an amount of effort, expressed in Days. If the task has no listed check, you and your three helpers make one day of progress each per calendar day, no check needed."
But in the sheet:
"Each activity takes a specific number of days of work. If the task has no listed check you and your three helpers make 4 days of progress per calendar day."
Which one is it or am I confusing something?

![]() |

Both read the same. So You and each of your three helpers you hire can complete 4 days worth of progress each day. That is if you hire 3 people each day.

![]() |

I am intentionally slowing this part down for any question as there is a lot going on here.

![]() |

Not exactly. So I will post Day one here in a moment.
So here are some examples. Each Day you can choose to do one of three actions. Repair the Fort, Make Friends, or Plant Whispering Lilies.
Repair the Fort example:
Day 1: Clean the approach road (Hire 3 personnel by name off of the list on tab 2 of the Project. With their being no checks and having paid for 3 people you would check 4 of the 8 boxes.
Example 2
You want to work on the watchtower and hire the Stonemason since you are only trained in Crafting
Adjusting Attitudes example
Day 1: I will try too befriend Lumley, Braderock, and Plisken.
Diplomacy to Make an Impression (E) vs Lumley: 1d20 + 8
Diplomacy to Make an Impression (E) vs Brumm: 1d20 + 8
Diplomacy to Make an Impression (E) vs Pilsken: 1d20 + 8

"If a task has a listed check, you must attempt the check at the end of the day to see how much progress you made."
One player will roll per task? If, say, more than one player repairs the barracks, only one will roll for the check?

![]() |

You guys will be in initative and will all do your own tasks, each rolling separately.

![]() |

Thanks, now I understand more. There are three activities available, each of which works differently.
One more question: Can everyone of us hire three NPCs daily? Or is the three NPC helper limit total for the whole partY?

![]() |

Now I get the resources.
We have plenty of wood available, thanks to Narsen.
To get stone, we need to collapse the watchtower. To collapse it, because none of us has Expert Crafting, we need a stonemason.
I have high Crafting and will work on the Crafting skills with Cherie, who perhaps can pursue the projects as a Lead? Then if I and Cherie work together on a Crafting place, I could maybe benefit from Cherie's Clue In bonus.
Bo and I have good Diplomacy. I'll go around town making friends before I shift over to Crafting duties. After that I think winning over the remaining townsfolk will be mostly up to Bo.
Regarding villagers, I'd prioritize the Stonemason Junissa Yovitch and the Carpenter Braderock Brumm. After that, perhaps look for people who could make for trustworthy allies. Perhaps we could secure extra funding by befriending the rich farmers and/or the priest. The trappers could know interesting things about the local area.
So I'd suggest for priorities:
Clean the Courtyard and Collapse the Watchtower ASAP so we can get on the Crafting checks which probably act as a bottleneck.

![]() |

I'd like to get the barracks good personally before going for friends. We don't have a place to stay without it, doing the keep will take a long time, but the barracks feel short.
Tomorrow Bo will start working his diplomatic magic.
I feel the servant for some reason will be a key person... Religious leaders and guards feels like a dead end, because they have it good already. Change wouldn't help them.

100% Agree on Barracks for first Crafting work. Then we can move from the inn to the site. Should help with preventing sabotage when we can watch guard there ourselves.

Jarith can get the guards to help him Clean the Courtyard instead of the Approach Road to open up the bottleneck to the watchtower.

Staying at the inn costs $$? If so, Cherie may cast her bedroll in the nearly cleared courtyard, depending on the amount. She has very little coin.

![]() |

? Hiring the people costs the money.

![]() |

Correct, you are just paiying for the people daily.
