Lokoloko |
And if you took any more damage you would have gotten Goblin Acupuncture...
GM Valen |
Your fellow players are correct. Extra damage was from splash and Standarii has been healed up completely. As for being busy, I totally understand and don't mean to rush. As you may have gathered, we are close to the end, so I expect to be pretty lenient on my botting policy.
The coil strikes the whip wielding warrior (green).
As lay on hands was unnecessary, Standarii has one action remaining.

Standarii |
Yep, I totally missed the splash damage and Celestia's healing. Sorry about that! The extra gen con responsibilities I've had plus acute cat medical things have thrown me off more than a bit.
Standarii, suddenly realizing that they're fully healthy, uses their last action to try a second strike.
+1 Disruptive Asp Coil: 1d20 + 10 - 5 ⇒ (11) + 10 - 5 = 16
Slashing: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
GM Valen |
Standarii's second attack fails to connect.
The remaining construct (green) takes a defensive step back.
Step
It then unleashes its electrowhip on the Pathfinder before it.
Melee, electrowhip (disarm, finesse, magical, reach 10 feet, trip) v Mylow: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16
Damage electricity plus Knockdown if the target is wearing metal armor: 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Melee, electrowhip (disarm, finesse, magical, reach 10 feet, trip) v Mylow: 1d20 + 12 - 4 ⇒ (20) + 12 - 4 = 28
Damage electricity plus Knockdown if the target is wearing metal armor: 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Its well-placed strike gives the Pathfinder a good shock and brings Mylow to the ground.

Swayaah Maeleranti |
With the green thing hidden behind a wall, Swayaah can't get a good shot. She runs around the hallway to help surround the thing.
Triple Stride. Took the long way around to avoid getting whipped.
Mylow Metcalf |
Mylow will stand from prone (step action #1), move around the green Construct to get into a flank position (step action #2) then strike at it (strike action #3).
+1 Striking Rapier attack #1: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (3) + 12 = 15
Rapier P Dmg #1: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (6, 1) + 4 = 11

◆ Stride 10'
◆ Interact: Reload sling
◆ Strike GREEN Sling attack, B damage: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 291d6 ⇒ 3
GM is your style double the damage or roll a second die?
Standarii |
Hoping to take advantage of the tactical position Mylow has set up, Standarii attempts to strike!
Asp Coil: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18 vs. FF
Slashing: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
and again!
Asp Coil: 1d20 + 10 - 5 ⇒ (6) + 10 - 5 = 11
Slashing: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
then again!
Asp Coil: 1d20 + 10 - 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 - 10 = 12
Slashing: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Lokoloko |
Lokoloko runs in behind Swayaah and hurls another alchemical bomb at the green Construct.
Moderate Alchemist Fire: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
Fire Damage: 2d8 + 1 ⇒ (4, 7) + 1 = 12 Doubled to 24

Seeing Mylow take some splash damage, Lokoloko calls out "I's heals you later"

GM Valen |
Standarii halts part of the brunt of the crack on Mylow, but fails to connect with his own strike.
As Mylow attempts to stand, he is again met by an electrowhip!
Melee, electrowhip (disarm, finesse, magical, reach 10 feet, trip), AOO v. Mylow: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23
Damage electricity plus Knockdown if the target is wearing metal armor: 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Mylow narrowly avoids the whip.
Assuming triggering Nimble Dodge for AC 24
Mylow moves into position, but fails to connect.
Elsha, however, does not.
Crit success! Doubling damage.
Celestia heals Mylow.
Standarii misses three times.
Lokoloko does not. Mylow gets splashed and the construct falls over and continues to burn.
COMBAT OVER
As the wyrwood construct that once guarded this chamber is consumed by fire, you can better examine the small, boxy constructs with their snapjaws, clockwork mechanisms, and rolling tank treads instead of feet. Their “faces” consisted of metal jaws akin to bear traps surrounded with light sensors. A poison was applied to their snapjaws, perhaps to deal with some long-passed infestation by burrowing rodents.
Searching the remainder of the underground area, you find a workspace sporting collection of clockwork tools, shattered aeon stones and rotting piles of vellum filling the shelves. Large metal panels removed from the facility’s walls lie in the center of the room; etched into these panels are meticulous blueprints for a wayfinder identical to the one Muesello lent the party.
Based upon the documentation here, you deduce that wayfinders that share its model with the green light are equipped with a safety
mechanism to prevent accidental conflicts between undercover agents under the effects of magical compulsion.
Well done, Pathfinders! We are close to wrapping up, please look over the chronicle information here here and make sure it is correct as I will finishing the chronicles soon.
PARTY STATUS
Mylow Metcalf -13 HP
Lokoloko -15 HP
Swayaah Maeleranti |
Swayaah peeks her head from behind the corner. "It's over already?" She stows her crossbow and wipes the frown off her face. "Good job, everyone."
"Uh... does anyone need help?" Swayaah speaks as Fae appears behind her, holding bandages and salve. Fae has +5 Medicine. We probably won't need it due to the healing resources available.
Celestia Sol |
Everyone seems .... relatively intact Celestia replies while she is crouching down, looking at one of the least damaged smaller constructs that had attacked. I might take this one back with us. At the least it might amuse the Venture Captain for a while
Elsha Ustosh |
W-well, that was sudden and intense. I don't much care for constructs... they don't react to useful things like poisons.
He approaches the large metal panels to study them.
Oooh. I wonder if these contain more secrets than just those of wayfinders!
Lokoloko |
Lokoloko runs up to Mylow to begin Goblin Acupuncture.
Risky Surgery: 1d8 ⇒ 4
Treat Wounds, Mylow: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28

Lokoloko hurries over to Fae. "Yous very brave! Have a pickle!" He offers her a large pickle...
Mylow Metcalf |
Mylow warily looks around before putting his rapier away. "Quite the welcoming party." After Lokoloko tends his wounds Mylow looks at the poison that was on the constructs jaws and seeing if there is a reservoir which secreted it. Mylow says in Goblin,
Lokoloko |
Lokoloko looks back at Mylow and grins. "I's try harder. Pickle?"
GM Valen |
With records and pickle in hand, you are free to return to the Kingfisher. Having gotten skunked on this voyage, Muesello, is particularly thrilled by your discoveries, lines your purses with coins, and promises to give you one of the first opportunities to obtain the next generation of wayfinders.
Primary Objective
The PCs fulfilled their primary objective if they recover the record from area A4. Doing so earned each PC 1 Fame and 1 Reputation for any faction associated with their currently slotted faction boon.
Thank you all for playing!
Lokoloko |
Skunked???
Probably didn't catch anything :)
Mylow Metcalf |
Yes, "Skunked" is a term used when you go fishing and do not catch anything. Used in other circumstances as well like coming up with "Goose eggs. 00"
Thanks for GMing, GM Valen! Great gaming with everyone!
Swayaah Maeleranti |
Fae munches on as many pickles as she can manage, even mustering the courage to stay on deck for most of the day.
Swayaah spends the days telling bawdy jokes and extracting rumors from the crew. Some make sense, some don't. Work is never over.
Thanks for the game, everyone.
Celestia Sol |
Celestia sits on deck listening to the bawdy jokes and smiling. She even writes some down to pass on to her tiefling friend when next they meet. She also attempts to keep Fae at ease by entertaining her with stories of her travels as a roving diplomat.
One evening she entertains everyone with some exotic dance.
Yes ... thank you everyone
