My kids decided to break it up. One had it two weeks ago, the other just tested positive yesterday.

Thanks all. Nobody needing the hospital so far. Boy's on the mend. Girl just got sick--she's the only one too young to be vaccinated--and later this morning mommy tested positive. I'm the only one left standing. Probably should move into a hotel or camp in my office.

I hear you. We all sleep in separate rooms to limit contact. Everyone in the house is double boosted, but we still do not want to take any chances.

Seems like there’s no rhyme or reason to who gets it and who doesn’t. My wife and I were fully vaxed and I had the first booster…I was exposed at least 3 times; either I never got it or I did but was asymptomatic. We and two of our friends were exposed at they same time; everyone got it ‘cept for me (all were vaxed). My wife got sick and quarantined but didn’t get tested for 10 days and it showed up positive (it was Omicron); we hadn’t social distanced at home prior to that (just her and I) and since I was still asymptomatic, didn’t see a reason to start that late. It’s weird…

Definitely seems to be fickle at times.

So we're just about done with the scenario! I do have one confession to make and it's that I managed to overlook the scenario's optional encounter. Since I know we've been 'on' this scenario for a while now, I'll leave it up to you guys if you'd like to just proceed with wrapping things up or if you'd like me to slot the optional encounter back in.

Is it a fun encounter or just a sack of HP?

Hmm...well, sort of a sack of HP? But also if you've been wondering about the lack of demons in a scenario called 'Day of the Demon' then the optional encounter's got the hookup!

Of course on the other hand you've already found plenty of evidence and hints that there's been demonic shenanigans in the manor recently. And some of the other things you've fought *have* been evil outsiders - just not demons.

I'll get the game reported tonight and chronicles issued as soon as I can, which will probably be tomorrow.

I think we may have recovered a named text - the Gates Ajar? - which is a Dark Archive goal for Aurora.

Also while looking things over I just *now* realized that Data is 2nd level (unless the sheet/stats need to be updated) and technically shouldn't have played this scenario as it was a 3-7. Since neither of us caught the error and there's not much to be done about it now, I'm going to go ahead and issue the chronicle as normal for him - enjoy the extra gold for playing slightly above your power curve! But unless this is enough to bump him to 3rd, the scenario order will need to be revisited as Call of the Copper Gate is also a 3-7.

I am good burning replays if needed, but I have not played Slave Pits.

Demm is looking forward to Call of the Copper Gate whenever we can get to it.

Also, I saw the link to Aurora's chronicle, but did the rest of us get one yet? I admit I may have just missed it.

^Not yet; was waiting to see if anyone else (besides you and Aurora) had any Day Job rolls or Faction Journal stuff to resolve but as no one has mentioned any, I'll assume that the rest of you are good to go. This is also my working week and things have been busy but I'll try and get the rest of the chronicles out tonight/tomorrow.

To answer Djahan's question, yep, I'll be continuing on with Tsamara. This scenario puts her at 3.2 in terms of level so she'll level up to 4th after the next one. No preference from me on our next scenario, though I'll note that I've GMed Shattered Shield before.
