Right, well, that was 'fun'. Back to the action!
Hopefully whatever they did also fixes the problems Sharda was having.

Yes, I think that's the right way to describe it. Delay!

Rest would be nice but sometimes we don't get the luxury.

Apparently it got lost in the website issues, but I could have sworn I posted a note last week that my posting would be sporadic at best from Thursday 2/17 - Monday 2/21.
It may have been posted to another thread, as well.
At any rate, full botting permissions given to whomever wants to briefly take Shardra under control -- she's straight off the pregenerated Shaman L7 sheet.
Will try to post when possible and have bandwidth, was going to post just now in thread but brain went foggy and need to get sleep before lot of travel tomorrow.

![]() |

Thank you for getting that, had tech issues trying to set up at hotel and I've had two four posts eaten.
Hopefully this one makes it through.
Shardra will attempt to aid/lead on Diplomacy pointing out fact orcs are escaping a savage chaotic group of orcs that perform blood sacrifice, and suggest that the Hellknights offer to destroy/give back the blood after completion of mission.

Choose one of the following to be performed at initiative count 10
* A Hellknight hurls a magic missile at a foe, dealing 2d4+2 points of damage.
* A Hellknight casts cure moderate wounds and heals a PC for 2d8+3 points of damage.
* A Hellknight casts shield other on a PC.
* A Hellknight casts scorching ray at a foe (+6 ranged touch attack, one ray).
(These actions are optional.)

Decimus Gallonica Trajan wrote:Tactics are a pain.It always makes me chuckle when an NPC bad guy talks smack but stays where they're at and doesn't come out to the group hehe.
I realize it's tactical but it doesn't make it any less funny in a situation like this, 'Aw I'm so tough and you're so weak!' yet they make zero move towards the PCs.

Not used to mounted rules. I think I can use the horse movement, then still dismount as a move action and UMD as a standard. I don't know if I can use the Blessing of Fervor bonus on the mount, so I'll take a +2AC.
It's a quirk of wording that's up to the GM.
From the Ride skill entry:"Action: Varies. Mounting or dismounting normally is a move action."
And under the Mounted Combat rules entry:
"Your mount acts on your initiative count as you direct it. You move at its speed, but the mount uses its action to move."
Which goes back to the Ride skill for this entry:
"Guide with Knees: You can guide your mount with your knees so you can use both hands in combat. Make your Ride check at the start of your turn [Note: The listed DC is 5]. If you fail, you can use only one hand this round because you need to use the other to control your mount. This does not take an action."
So I would offer that Aidan (and Kyra) can do what they did on their turns since the guiding of the mount takes no action, the mount used its action to Move, leaving the PCs with their allotment of Move and Standard actions.

Grandmaster TOZ |

That appears to be the correct application as I read it too. A DC20 Ride check would allow Aiden to use his move action for something else besides dismounting, but is not required. Kyra might be able to get a few mounts included in the spell effects, but not all of them, so you'd have to decide which ones to target.
Also, I misspoke on the Hellknight actions, they are not optional, but you do get to choose which is the most beneficial to you each round.

He also didn't expect to win initiative on you. :P It's hard to assess if the enemy is approaching in less than six seconds.

We were supposed to selection a Hellknight action? Scorching Ray sounds like a good opener for them to see if they can disrupt the ritual.
Scorching Ray (ranged touch) vs Green: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Fire Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 3, 4) = 12

![]() |

for the mounts to be included, i suggest Aiden's and Decimus'..they rely on getting in close...and the speed boost will allow them to get in closer quicker...my thoughts anyways...
Is that what Kyra is going to do? If so it will effect Trajan's action.

That appears to be the correct application as I read it too. A DC20 Ride check would allow Aiden to use his move action for something else besides dismounting, but is not required.
The DC 20 is for Fast Mount or Dismount; under that section of Ride it finally defines that a standard mount/dismount is a move action:
"Fast Mount or Dismount [DC 20]: You can attempt to mount or dismount from a mount of up to one size category larger than yourself as a free action, provided that you still have a move action available that round. If you fail the Ride check, mounting or dismounting is a move action. You can’t use fast mount or dismount on a mount more than one size category larger than yourself."

Also, getting you to waste resources on things other than That Which Peels Flesh is pretty smart.

Ah, point of order. Aiden cannot flank this target, so that will adjust some of the hits.
Nothing was going to help those rolls. :(
On another topic, what is a "Folio Reroll"? I've seen it before but I don't know what it is; I can guess what a "GM Reroll" is from. ;)

That's not good for the slayer/rogue. No sneak attack means no free dirty trick.
Trajan, a PFS reroll was given to owners of the Character Folio.

Grandmaster TOZ |

A player using any of the items from the reroll list on
paizo.com/organizedplay/perks
can reroll one d20 roll during the
course of a scenario or quest. For modules and Adventure
Paths, players may reroll one d20 per Chronicle sheet. This
reroll must happen before the GM states the result and the
player must use the reroll result, even if it is lower. Players can
reroll natural 1s on checks for which a natural 1 guarantees
failure. Players cannot use this reroll on checks that they have
already rerolled, nor can they use other abilities that would
allow them to reroll a check after using this benefit. GMs are
also invited to wear Pathfinder merchandise, but they gain
no in-game benefits for doing so.

I think I played 3 in-person games before the pandemic shutdown gaming at the FLGS. I don't recall seeing any Character Folios at the one, and only, convention I was in but I was too busy trying to understand the rules differences between 3.5 and PF.
Darn and all they have now is the PDF version. :(
![]() |

Does anyone have the PDF version? I can't say the product reviews of it were glowing.

![]() |

I think it's better as a PDF than a folder. But if you have a shirt or one of the messenger bags, those count too.
I don't have anything except books because I came in very late (Summer of 2019) to PFS. And I didn't play often due to scheduling issues, etc. until the one local convention where I played more in-person tables there than I have in total before or after.

Please make sure your reporting information is updated on the party slide.
Mine is correct. :)

Looks good. Thanks for the great game!
Aiden levels and hits another power milestone! His dirty tricks now take a standard action to remove. The Paracountess enjoys that...

![]() |

My Chronicle Sheet looks good also and thank you very much for running the module and my thanks to the other players! :)

However the group wants to do it is fine with me. :)
