Relgar replies to Stefan's query.
"I think it is better to let them come around to this door so we can pick them off piecemeal and at range if at all possible."
"Or perhaps they can simply just leave and never come back."
It is really too bad that most monsters fight until the bitter end. Don't they know it is hopeless. :)

Nisek punches one of the ghouls right in the face and hears a satisfying CRACK! as its nose breaks and it collapses. An instant later, Kurik’s greatsword cleaves another ghoul in twain!
Jon and Petro fire out the distillery’s windows, but can’t find the right angle. Meanwhile, Stefan stands at the ready.
Nisek takes out Yellow with his first attack, but misses with the second. Kurik takes out Blue. Jon and Petro miss due to cover.

I'm taking that thing out...it's touch has to effect on those of elven blood... Petro says as he steps out the door and fires an arrow at the ghoul.

At least Petro has the good sense to keep his distance and use his bow.

Note: Stefan still has the mesmeric mirror trick implanted in him from earlier; mesmerist tricks don't expire unless they trigger or a new trick is implanted in someone.
Mesmeric Mirror: An illusory image appears near the subject to throw off attackers. The mesmerist can trigger this trick when the subject is attacked or becomes the target of a spell that requires an attack roll. One duplicate of the subject appears, and the attacker must determine randomly which it hits (as mirror image).For every 5 class levels the mesmerist possesses, one additional image appears, to a maximum of five images at 20th level.Each image lasts for 1 minute per mesmerist level or until destroyed. Relgar takes Shaggy out for another jaunt. He takes his dog for a round trip to keep safely away from the nasty ghouls but this requires him to cast on the go.

Relgar's spell works perfectly, as the ghoul looks like it's dancing spastically for a moment before falling on its rump! But it's back on its feet quickly, out of the grease, and ready to attack Nisek!
Nearby, the other ghoul charges Kurik only to be cut down by the warrior's greatsword!
White failed the Reflex save. As it stands up, Nisek will get an AoO. The ghoul then does a 5' step and tries to claw him. Nisek, you take 3 points of damage and need to make a DC 16 Fort save or be paralyzed for 3 rounds. (if the AoO takes the ghoul out, ignore the damage and save)
Black is killed by Kurik's readied action.

Petro sees the other engaged with a ghoul and moves to fire at the undead before he has a chance to immobilize one of them.

@Petro - I moved your token for you. That should be a wrap anyways as your shot was good enough to take down a typical ghoul on its own. :)

Petro's arrow thunks into the last ghoul's neck, destroying the monster instantly!
With the immediate danger over, you all have a chance to look out at a scene of devastation in Railford. Cottages bear smashed doors and streaks of blood, survivors of the ghoul attack stagger around with bite wounds, and some bodies lay sprawled on the ground, half-eaten.
We are off Initiative.

Relgar is sure to clean off himself and his equipment with his prestidigitation spell. He carefully puts two scrolls back into his waterproof bag and his wand back into his spring-loaded wrist sheath. He stays within the distillery guiding groups of people and encouraging them to stay calm.

Kurik offers magical healing to the injured survivors.

The Pathfinders are able to secure the area and lend some assistance to the survivors. Becher helps organise shelter and supplies, even for the wounded Taldans. It seems with their leader dead, they won't be much of a threat any longer. The hours stretch on, but finally the hard work is done.
Becher nods at each of you. "Railford owes you a great debt. One set of strangers came to harass us, and another set managed to save us! What brought you here to begin with?"
Helping the survivors is going to require either five Heal attempts (with at least three successes) or three applications of magical healing.

"Pathfinders, eh?" Becher rubs his scalp. "I think we can work something out. I want to keep distilling whiskey, but I could provide you with permanent space in the building. After what just happened, Railford would see it as a boon!"
Okay, let's have Petro mark off two charges and Kurik mark off one charge.
And that's pretty much a wrap! The Society is pleased with your help in setting up a lodge in Railford, and you'll always be treated with honorary status there. Please feel free to do any epilogue-style role-playing you'd like and I'll start getting to work on Chronicles.
