Scratch also has a reaction, but his is recognize spell. Always helpful to know what that black hooded hoodlum just cast...

Recognize Spell: Reaction, General, Secret, Skill
Trigger: A creature within line of sight casts a spell that you don’t have prepared or in your spell repertoire, or a trap or similar object casts such a spell. You must be aware of the casting.
-If you are trained in the appropriate skill for the spell’s tradition and it’s a common spell of 2nd level or lower, you automatically identify it (you still roll to attempt to get a critical success, but can’t get a worse result than success). The highest level of spell you automatically identify increases to 4 if you’re an expert, 6 if you’re a master, and 10 if you’re legendary. The GM rolls a secret Arcana, Nature, Occultism, or Religion check, whichever corresponds to the tradition of the spell being cast. If you’re not trained in the skill, you can’t get a result better than failure.
-Critical Success You correctly recognize the spell and gain a +1 circumstance bonus to your saving throw or your AC against it.
-Success You correctly recognize the spell.
-Failure You fail to recognize the spell.
-Critical Failure You misidentify the spell as another spell entirely, of the GM’s choice.

Oskar has Inspire Competence, which lets him roll Performance (+14) with Cooperative Nature (+4), to Aid, and a failure counts as a success. So basically when making skill checks out of combat: roll a d20 - a 1 is still a crit failure but a 2-11 gives a +1 to your check and a 12-20 gives a +2 to your check. Please feel free to roll this yourselves for your exploration mode skill checks since Oskar can basically do it at will (it's a composition cantrip) though of course the GM may rule that it may not apply in some instances.

It can also be used in combat but it's a bit tricky in PbP since I have to use a single action on my turn and then a reaction on your turn (and be within 60' of you). So if you think you might want to use this on your turn (e.g. say you want to trip someone, or tumble through, etc.) if you give me a heads up beforehand I can try to use an action on my turn to prepare the reaction for your turn.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll try to remember everything.

@Oskar, right now, we're in exploration mode. So if you want to do Inspire Competence, that should be fine.

Hey, I just wanna quickly check in about Nimble Dodge and get your input on how you wanna run it at your table.

I've previously had GMs argue that I would need to use it on the first strike if I want to use it reliably, since my character would have no way of knowing how often he would be attacked by a single creature until he gets attacked. Reactions are always tricky in a PbP setting.

Any ruling works for me, I have no strong opinion on this, but wanted to check in, so I don't step on anyone's toes here ;)

Thanks!

Yeah, reactions are definitely tricky for PbP. I'm flexible with how you want to do it. Especially here, the zombies aren't all that smart and are likely just going to attack the closest thing.

Hey I think there's been a bit of a mixup. Sorry for not being clearer in my post, but at my current position pickles would have been unable to attack and destroy blue. My only viable target is green.

We don't have to retcon this and I'm fine with a once in a lifetime lunge attack against blue, but I thought I'd mention it before we continue.

That's what I get for posting after my bed time.... When I was looking at the map, I knew your only target was green. But for some reason, my mind thought it was blue.

Yeah, let's say you managed to lunge quickly at blue, killing it.

Did Oskar's telekinetic projectile miss the foe's AC? Or did it resist (or immune) to the damage type? Or something unknown to us?

Also, have we figured out which damage types are or are not working? I know there have been a variety of strikes but I haven't always kept clear which were against the zombies and which against the ?construct.

Out of character, I have a sneaking suspicion that these constructs are immune to magic, or at least most magic.

I think the fire damage made one of them berserk, so some magic may still affect them, but unless someone makes a better crafting check or an Arcana check, we won't know.

Yeah, I don't want to spoil it too much. The only magic that has affected these things have been Mirtha's fire attacks. Whether that means it's immune to most magic or just to the type of damage you're dealing, you'll have to try a better Recall Knowledge check.

Hey guys quickly checking in by phone.
Caught my kids' plague since the weekend. Will update as soon as I feel better.

Feel free to bot Pickles.
He likes to sneak, he likes to show his friends to sneak (Quiet Allies), he likes to stab folk in the back, he likes to check for traps and disarm then.

I'll be with you soon!

Feel better Pickles! This is likely the last check of the quest. Will bot you tomorrow, then update, depending on Hero Point rolls.

Okay, so we are basically done, besides some roleplaying. Looks like I'm missing Mirtha's info on the rpgchronicles. If you can fill it out here, that'd be great!

Will work on the chronicles and reporting as soon as I get Mirtha's info!

Okay, here are the chronicles! The scenario has also been reported! Thank you for a fun game!

If you have any questions or comments, let me know!
