Well, here goes nothing. Kendrick moves his web-covered body slowly forward. He hopes the ettercap keeps the relative peace, but stays tense enough to lash out if the creature shows itself.

Half-speed move to door, ready attack if it tries to get in my face and take a swing/bite/whatever.

The lead thug, the one nearest Nuriel, looks back over his shoulder and yells "You heard her lads. We're gonna get paid. Form up." He turns back around with an unsettling grin on his face.
Kendrick, still covered in sticky webs, slowly makes his way to the nearest door without issue.
You can easily tell that the thugs have no intention of letting you past.

The scene on the docks is a tense one as both sides seemingly wait for the other side to blink. Meanwhile, in the belly of a ship, Kendrick and the ettercap play a deadly game of hide and seek, and Devargo hasn't been seen for quite some time.

With great caution, Kendrick reaches out to open the door. He remains tense, with his primary hand gripping his sword, and ready to strike the ettercap should it try anything foolish.

Nuriel bolsters Dax and herself for what seems like inevitable bloodshed while Kendrick opens the nearest door. Beyond the door is a small room with a single low desk sitting against the eastern wall. Two other doors, currently closed, provide egress in addition to the one Kendrick stands beside, which has a small spider painted on it.
