Giles gestures to the rest of the group indicating the dark corner. "It'll be alright, it's dark but we see where you are."

Giles and Ecthelion let the others catch up before moving forward cautiously, still unsure if this is some sort of trick or of there were more thugs in hiding.

"Hurry please! Before they come back!"

Joran moves to look into the corner with more light.

"There are lots of us. Eight. We've got rid of your captors. Talk to us." says Thor from Joran's shoulder.

In the corner of the room you see a kneeling prisoner.

"I'm saved! Hurry! Get these chains off me! Before someone else comes back!"

He growls in frustration and drops them.

Is he human or something else? What about the dead guys? Joran will use Discern Secrets for +1 on his Society +7+1 to Recall Knowledge.

"I have a crowbar which we could use to pry the chains from the floor or wall, but I've no skill with locks."

Having failed to break the chains with brute force, Giles and Ecthelion examine the area around the prisoner and make sure there's no other combatants lurking around or other hazards.
