"Master Trig, may I use your healer's tools? I have the training, but no supplies of my own."
If so:
The halfling ministers to the wounded bystander.
Medicine check to treat wounds (T): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
I'd better burn the hero point on that one.
Reroll: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Still a failure, but not a critical one.
Trig Meral
|
Trig Raises one of his eyebrows. "Of course."
After passing it to Nic he offers a smile of encouragement that lessens a bit as Nic attempts to heal the others.
Joran Redaxe
|
"There's an abandoned tavern we need to get to. How's everyone doing?" Joran says, looking at the group.
"Well, I'm hungry now that you ask." replies Thor."Buy me some nuts? We are in the market."
"Here you go." Joran gets some from his bag.
Thor narrows his eyes. "You've been holding out on me!"
"Just enjoy them and be thankful you got them. I'm going to have a look at these creatures before we leave." And he will do just that.
GM Tiger
|
Oranna, Joran, Kidron -- will you be making checks?
Nic Blackwillow
|
As Trig's smile slips a little, Nic practically cringes for a moment before he regains control of himself. He silently passes the tools back to the priest.
Oranna Gro-gothal
|
Oranna decided not to get in the way of anything, taking seat down on an unbroken crate and cleaning her blade covered in crushed bug juice. Her wounds from earlier had been covered in improvised bandages, feeling slightly irritated.
GM Tiger
|
Giles and Joran manage to put several stalls back together while Trig gets a few of the bystanders back on their feet. One of the merchants steps forward and hands you a package containing:
2 x Oil of Potency
1 x Bronze Bull Pendant
"We thank you for helping us. If it weren't for you, the outcome would have been worse than it was."
Ready to move on, Pathfinders?
Giles Morningstar II
|
Giles smiles warmly at the accolades. He makes a polite bow as the group is presented with the gifts. "It was no trouble at all. The Pathfinder Society is always happy to help those in need."
Ecthelion mimics the bow and says something in Mwangi along the same lines.
Giles and Ecthelion are ready
GM Tiger

Dorneliun's directions lead you to an abandoned tavern nestled in a dead-end neighborhood in the Puddles, which lies a few blocks north of the market. This is a large, windowless, single-story tavern occupies the center of this run-down, dead-end street. Stairs lead up to a small landing on the west side. On the landing, the large wooden double doors that serve as the building’s only entrance are boarded up.
You notice that the boards rest on simple pegs on either side of the door, and can easily be lifted down.
Trig Meral

perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
Trig halts and whispers "Those doors are rigged. This place may not be as abandoned as it looks."
Giles Morningstar II
|
Giles looks over the Ecthelion as the group approaches. "Lets be careful. I'm not sure knowing you are walking into a trap is any better than just walking into one."
Ecthelion rumbles in agreement and moves forward next to Kidron.

Nic Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
You spot what appears to be a spring mechanism hidden near the lock. You may roll Thievery to disable
Nic Blackwillow
|
The halfling tsks. "There's something there...let me try to deactivate it." He unpacks his tools and sets to work.
Thievery check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
GM Tiger
|
Nic, DC is 17. You may try again. Just don't crit fail
Nic Blackwillow
|
"Tricky, tricky.... Master Meral, some divine guidance would be of great help again."
Thievery check: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 7 + 1 = 18
Nic looks quickly around for observers, then has another go at the trap.
GM Tiger
|
Nic successfully disarms the trap.
The door, upon further inspection, is locked.
You can either:
Pick the lock (DC 15 Thievery, 2 successes needed; Crit success - 2 successes, Crit Fail - tools break. )
Kick it down (DC 20 Athletics)
Giles Morningstar II
|
"If someone wants to knock down the door, Ecthelion will be glad to assist them"
Ecthelion flexes his tentacles in demonstration.
if possible, he'll prepare to aid another with athletics, if we do the door busting. Otherwise he'll sit out and wait patiently for the lock picking.

Oranna, see the GM's last post. The idea here is that you're going to break down the door, since you have an 18 STR and are Trained in Athletics. Unless you didn't want to try?

I did not infer that, I guess I will be
Athletics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
"Stand back, 'nuff of this waitin'," she says before rearing back and kicking out the door with berserk strength, smashing into it.
Joran Redaxe
|
"Nic, did you not want to do this subtly? On your guard everyone. I expect we will face a hostile reception."
"What are you complaining about? You love a good fight." adds Thor
GM Tiger
|
So much for trying to pick the lock...
Oranna kicks the door in, which flies open with a loud bang.
Light Conditions:
Anything within 10 feet of the door is in bright light.
Anything within 10-20 feet of the door is in dim light.
Anything beyond 20 feet is in darkness.
Over a dozen tables and countless chairs crowd the interior of this tavern, all scattered about in disarray. The ceiling is 15 feet high, rising a few feet to accommodate the extra elevation of the rooms to the north. Most of the building is made of wood, with the exception of the brick fireplaces and chimneys.

If it's dark, Joran will light his Wayfinder.
I don't know if it's been asked, but how is everyone with friendly fire? It will determine my use of Horizon Thunder Sphere in any fight.

As per the Organized Play Foundation Community Standards, each player must decide if they will allow their characters to be damaged by friendly fire (usually via splash damage). I need to remind everyone that damaging a PC who doesn't give consent will generate infamy.
Trig Meral

I'm okay with it. But 2d6 is a fair amount of damage to level 1s. Good thing there is a healer in the party :)
Giles Morningstar II
|
I'm okay with splash damage on Ecthelion but I think things like fireball and the mega-casting of thundersphere is a bit much.
Ecthelion moves up besides Oranna ready to go in.
