Sir Feighnswelle
|
Sir Feighnswelle scoots over toward the tree to help.
Double move
phaeton_nz
|
Kneepuncher is having a lot of trouble with that tree
athletics: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22 SF
engineering: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (14) + 14 = 28 TS
but with the help of Sir Feignswelle and the Specialist, Kneepuncher is able to shift it. Though the unfortunate soldiers are deceased, one carries a hard case on his belt containing both the blue beetle and stone pipe artefacts.

"Anyone else thinking what I'm thinking? This couldn't have been some kind of coincidental accident, right? Both items that we're looking for are right here... is this too easy?"
Navasi looks around trying to spot traps or an ambush.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
phaeton_nz
|
Navasi is the first to notice that the wind is picking up. This gives her enough time to get everyone to take cover in the trench.
Fresh debris covers the area, and new tears in the ground reveal a deeper layer of subsoil. Preserved bones and ancient weaponry jut from the ground, excavated by the powerful storm. A bony hand twitches and grasps the exposed root of an upturned tree. The skeleton of a long-dead vesk heaves itself upright and takes a shuddering step. More skeletons rise and shuffle forward in a twisted approximation of marching.
Initiatives:
Delea: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Kneepuncher: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Navasi: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Sir Feighnswelle: 1d20 ⇒ 9
Tanila: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
The Specialist: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Yellow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Green: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Blue: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Red: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Delea and The Specialist are up first
The Specialist
|
"Looks like we've got some uneasy dead, here 'bouts," says The Specialist with a cheery smile. "No worries, though. We can handle this!"
"Time for some POSITIVE THOUGHTS!"
He swings his huchket rifle up and quickly clicks open the attached bipod. He rests it on a nearby bit of tree and aims it at the green tinged skeleton. No time for a good sighting. Just gonna think positive.
Huchket rifle (experimental prototype): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12 Dmg (F&P): 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Oh well, no worries, no worries. I'll get 'em next time.
Delea
|
Delea uses her harm undead feat to send out a wave of damage against the undead creatures.
damage: 4d8 ⇒ (2, 5, 1, 2) = 10
will DC 15 for half damage
this will also heal and HP damage allies have taken up to that much, uses level 2 spell slot and 1 RP
phaeton_nz

Unfortunately the Specialist just misses.
will: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22 yellow
will: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18 red
will: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15 green
will: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 blue
Yellow -5; Red -5; Green -5; Blue:-10
Red moves to take cover on the other side of the fallen tree and shoots at Sir Feignswelle with a hunting rifle.
v KAC: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19 piercing: 1d8 ⇒ 6
The rest of the party are up.
Kneepuncher
|
Green has knees.
Entropic Strike: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20 vs. EAC
Acid and Bludgeoning Damage: 1d4 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
Sir Feighnswelle
|
Sir Feignswelle uses his flipper-like appendages to pull himself out of the trench.
Athletics to Climb: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
Spending 1 RP for Entropy.
He then swings at the nearest set of walking bones!
Melee (entropic strike) v red: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Damage (Acid & B): 1d4 + 7 + 1d4 ⇒ (1) + 7 + (3) = 11
phaeton_nz
|
Yellow -5; Red -5; Green -15; Blue:-10
Sir Feignswelle clambers out of the shelter of the trench and attempts to hit Red but misses. However he is now subject to the full force of the Shriek Reflex save DC 15. Fail = take 1d6 bludgeoning from flying debris and knocked off-target
Navasi and Tanila to go
Sir Feighnswelle
|
Reflex: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
| bigboom's SFS pregen |
Navasi moves to a better shooting position, drawing her pistol and fires at red!!
tactical semi-auto pistol vs KAC: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
P damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
phaeton_nz
|
Yellow -5; Red -9; Green -15; Blue:-10
Tanilia to go.
The Specialist
|
I'm out Friday - Sunday. Preposting my action now.
NEXT ROUND
The Specialist focuses his efforts on Blue.
Huchket rifle (experimental prototype): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15 Dmg (F&P): 1d10 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
phaeton_nz
|
Yellow -5; Red -21; Green -15; Blue:-27
The barrage of magic missiles damages Red but does not bring it down.
Are Navasi and Kneepuncher out of the trench? - If so, they also need to make reflex saves
Green, Yellow and Blue discover that Kneepuncher is just a step away.
claw: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22 slashing: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 blue
claw: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28 slashing: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11 green
bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26 piercing: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 yellow
Delea and The Specialist are up. The Specialist nearly takes down Blue
Kneepuncher
|
Reflex Save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
phaeton_nz
|
Both of you made the save
phaeton_nz
|
Will saves:
red: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
blue: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
green: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
yellow: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Red and Blue save, Yellow and Green fail
Yellow -31; Red -34; Green -41; Blue:-40
And that wave of positive energy obliterates all four of them. The storm subsides and silence returns to the valley. Yellow and Red are mostly intact. The other two ..... not so much.
Pausing for reactions

"Note to self," says Navasi. "When there are undead around, 1) bring Delea along and 2) kick back and watch the fireworks."
Navasi searches the corpses and the surrounding area.
Sir Feighnswelle
|
"Impressive," notes Sir Feignswelle. "I suppose we should report the unfortunate status of the missing patrol to our contact."
"Alas," the morlamaw continues, "I am unfamiliar with vesk funerary practices to know how best to treat the remains--or, at least, what little remains of said remains."
The Specialist
|
"See," says The Specialist cheerfully. "I knew we could do it! Staying positive is always critical to success!"
He examines the remains carefully.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
phaeton_nz

The skeletal remains are old, dating back to the Veskarium's conquest of Vesk-6, being three wesk and one pahtra. The bodies of the patrol, or at least their dogtags, can be retrieved as well as the artefacts.
Back at Voyadris, Reha listens intently to your account of their mission. She’s disappointed to hear that most of the valley’s ruins were destroyed by the Shriek but is grateful for the two artefacts you recovered. She solemnly begins the process of notifying the soldiers’ loved ones and recovering their remains.
And that's basically it .... wrap up RP posts and day jobs please
| bigboom's SFS pregen |
Day job roll for character who will be receiving credit:
Profession (poet): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20
Kneepuncher
|
Checkbox for True Savior of Tasch instead of day job.
"Well done, everyone!" Kneepuncher says as the group departs for Absalom Station. "Stop by my cabin and I'll give you the 50% successful mission discount."

Tanila needs to sign up over at the Recruitment Thread
phaeton_nz

Oh .. I nearly forgot .... boons for Gameday X
Roll a d20 please.
1d20 ⇒ 19
Sir Feighnswelle
|
No boons for Starfinder anymore. Just Achievement Points!
But, don't fret. With this being a convention the Achievement Points allocated are in the Premier Event, so GM’s and Players alike will receive more than a standard game!
Profession (pugilist)+clothing+tools: 1d20 + 9 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 9 + 1 + 4 = 15

Oh yeah ... my bad .. that was last year :)
Game reported to the organisers. Chronicles should be out either later today or tomorrow.
phaeton_nz
|
Thank you for playing.
| bigboom's SFS pregen |
phaeton_nz, looks like instead of Kneepuncher's chronicle, you accidentally uploaded a PDF of the scenario?
As for Navasi's chronicle, it looks good. Thank you for GMing!
And thank you to my fellow players for the game!!!
phaeton_nz
|
That should be fixed now.
Kneepuncher
|
My Chronicle is not a copy of the scenario and looks good.
Thank you all for a very enjoyable game, especially phaeton_nz for running!
Sir Feighnswelle

Thanks for running phaeton_nz!
