"Onto it." he says quietly, trotting up to the rest of the group.

Do we have a clear shot at any of the creatures in the water from where we are?

Any chance you could mark on the map where the walk-ways are? Or are there whole chunks that are underwater?

So far only Oddman is Observing the creatures. No one else has made the perception check and currently are only Aware of Presence.
See the Four States of Awareness.
I have no problems with people attempting a single Perception check when they first come into line of sight, but if people start searching that is taking actions that could provoke a response from the creatures.

Also, the creatures are immersed and would have cover. See Attacks from Above Water for details.

We are on Slide 4 of the slides linked in my header, Reclaiming the Time-Lost Tear.
@Sprocket, I have moved you and Claptrap to a dry area where you would be able to see in.

Sprocket and his drone come up to join the rest of the party.

Sprocket and Dytabail both spot the submerged creatures.

Dytabail wades into the water. It is getting deep, she stops with just her head above water. She can feel with her feet that there are still more steps. The water is deeper than she is tall.

Going to give Azara a chance to do something.

Azara hustles to get up to where Dytabail is. He is also almost completely submerged.

"Of course," Dytabail sighs. (I am assuming her seals are up so she doesn't have to worry about drowning in here. If not, she activates them.)

OK, strategy time. I know that needler pistols tend to have... well, needles to inject stuff from afar. Would I be able to put one of the vaccines in one and use it as a melee weapon? I doubt that submerged targets can be shot with shots.


Aquatic rules
Shokil has the needler pistol. If you have an injection weapon of your own, you could use that with one of the darts.
You can not use a ranged weapon as a melee weapon, but you can just accept the Attack of Opportunity from making a ranged attack at point blank range.

Dytabail seals their armor.
I believe you were the only one who didn’t enable their environmental seals. I had mentioned this with the most recent Fortitude saves for radiation.

I agree. I don’t see a path from where you were that would have been a straight line for the standard action charge.

Dytabail dives into the water to get closer to the creature. That gives her a better view of it as well.

Before he falls into standardized ideals of sentience, Azara tries the diplomatic route. The Starfinders HAVE trespassed on these creatures' territory, after all.

Red moves up and comes to the surface. Shokil takes their shot but misses because of the cover the water gives.

Red then spits a large wad of spittle at Claptrap II, Dytabail, Azara and Shokil. The spittle quickly coagulates. Fortunately none of you were caught by the spittle.

It only requires they be half covered by water to get the cover bonus. You would need to draw them up on one of the walkways, draw them out of the room, or go underwater yourself for them to not have cover.
The aquatic rules are a little weird.

Oddman seems to be getting the hang of firing through the water. This time the trident hits.

Any plan to draw them out would need to take into account they don’t know what you are saying. I will allow a bluff check that takes that into account. I do not require a bluff check — I know their tactics.

But he's not going to watch Kiff get eaten. Though he commends the man for trying to go the peaceful route even as he's getting beaten.

Azara just walks into the water, watching it close in around his sealed systems. He slashes at the one holding Kiff with his Solar Weapon.

If someone else makes him stable, Kiff could then spend a resolve to get in the fight.
I am not certain getting back in the fight is the best option with an enemy that close…

One way or another that screaming was going to stop.
