I'm game if one can be recruited. But as stated earlier. Replacement GM's are not easy to come by and this version of the campaign is a bit of a homebrew. If one can be recruited, I'm game to continue. Its been a good group so fare with solid roleplay.
The Hand of Destiny
If it helps at all, I've mostly stuck pretty close to the AP so far, except that there's been a lot more interaction with Sheriff Hemlock. And I am willing to coordinate with a new GM and fill them in things so far, if you can find one.
Diego Davino
I went ahead and posted for a new GM in recruitment. We'll never know if we don't give it a shot.
Copy, I'm still watching this thread and am more then willing to continue if we get lucky.

Somebody looking for a GM? =) Dunno if it's kosher to drop in on the discussion thread here, but I read through your gameplay so far and you guys have a fun dynamic going! Would be a shame to end it.
I'm newer to pbp but quite addicted to it and find myself twiddling my thumbs oftentimes waiting for folks to post, so I should be able to squeeze in another game. I'm been GMing for close to 20 years now, and I've run RotRL irl before. If your whole group is still around, and you'll have me, I'd be happy to jump in! Like I said, I read all your stuff, so I've got a good handle on what's up.

Thank you for the offer. I agree that the group has an interesting dynamic. Originally, our previous GM wanted to run the scenario with a group of towns guards. Because of that, everyone started off with a character that would reflect being part of town guard. After our first level in a martial class, we where ok to branch off into a different direction. As fare as PBP goes, I have done a fare amount of running things online. If I can be of any help with setting up maps or dealing with any of the mechanics let me know. So fare I haven't heard from Alistair, Orin, Jaymin, they may require a PM in order to bring their attention back to the game. Also, if needed, our previous GM has offered his assistance as well.
When you are ready, just let us know how you would like us to transition over, I.E. move to a different thread or continue with this one.

I don't know all the logistics of passing the campaign to a new DM from a tech standpoint, I know it can be done since it happened in the one I'm a player in. I'd be happy to continue in this thread, though. Probably just have to poke customer service.
Did one of you want to poke the other players, since they know you? Or shall I? If we can get the gang back together, I could start things back up as soon as a couple days from now. Would just need to dust off my pdf of the AP ^_^

I’ve been trying follow updates on the thread, and I’m excited to see you guys found someone! @Fern- it is a good group, and I am around if you have any questions I can help with, I just got busy (and exhausted) at work and couldn’t keep up with running this anymore, sadly. I’m not sure if there’s a way for me to pass the thread along, other than you asking customer service or do it, but if there is (or if customer service needs/wants anything from me) just let me know.

I'll wait and see if the other people flock back! I hope they do -- so many threads left open! What are the goblins up to? Will they show up again to ruin Jaymin's second wedding day? Will Nico snap and start her own Watch, with Shayliss and Amieko as her deputies? Is Diego really a bad shag? These questions need answers.
Nico Solter
Woohoo! Thanks for picking up this game Fern! Also thanks HoD for facilitating the transition!
Nico isn't so hard to figure out. She's small and grew up with brothers. She knows how to be savage in word and deed to survive. :p

I'm in.
DM Fern
Gonna post sometime this evening, hoping to give Alistair and Jaymin a chance to hop back in on the gameplay thread! And also stalling a little because rumor has it a certain Giant Halfling might be rolling up a character to join the squad at some point (no rush there, my dude, there are infinite points to work you in).
Giant Halfling
Thanks, Nico. I think I might be able to manage enough time to be a player (since that's way less work than running a game) and Fern was very gracious in offering. I do also want to make sure, though, that I have an idea that won't step on anyone else's toes first. I'm still working on that but I think I might have an idea for a sword-and-board character who has some potential?
Nico Solter
Won't step on mine for sure. Nico will stick with Bolt Ace up to around 5th or 6th level. Afterward she'll probably multiclass over into Desnan Inquisitor and continue with ranged combat.
Giant Halfling
I've been busier than I expected this week, but I'm toying with the idea of a sword&board slayer who's clever and well educated but signed up for the night shift on purpose because he's kind of lazy. He'd be getting moved to days because the sheriff thinks he's not living up to his potential on nights. I'll try to get something actually written up fairly soon.
Lief Stoutspear
I haven't had a chance to write up the fluff yet, but here's the crunch for my potential transplant from the night shift for GM approval. The idea for his background is that he was born in the Land of the Linnorm Kings but his parents were successful merchants and while he was a bay/toddler they decided to move south for the warmer weather and easier access to luxuries/creature comforts. They settled in Sandpoint and had Lief educated at the Turandarock Academy growing up. He enjoyed his comfortable upbringing, but never really applied himself to anything so after he graduated his parents made him get a real job. He joined the watch and signed up for overnights because there's less to do, and less oversight. He's got a bit of a reputation for being lazy, and rumor around the Garrison is that he draws lewd cartoons and illustrations for drinking money.
I have 'art supplies' listed in his equipment but couldn't find a price anywhere for like an illustration kit or anything like that... based on the costs of paper/parchment, quills, ink, and charcoal, I guessed that 20g should be about right, but please let me know (GM) if you want that adjusted one way or another?
Lief Stoutspear
I noted that there's an empty chair and my name was mentioned, am I correct in thinking that that was an invitation to start posting any time, or did you want me to wait for something specific?
Also, I haven't had time to properly write up my background yet so I'm going to toss sort of a bulletpoint version up in my profile for now.
DM Fern
I took the links for the map etc. that were in the Hand of Destiny's alias profile and added them up top for easy access.
Before too, too terribly long, we'll be coming up on stuff that a battle map would be handy for. If I used Roll20 for maps, would that pose a problem for any of you? If you're unfamiliar with it, it's free, you just make an account and I link you to the game. I'd only use it for maps, I like the ease with which I can track HP there, versus throwing an image into google slides or whatnot.
Let me know! Hope you guys are having fun =)
Diego Davino
I'm enjoying what you have done so fare. Very descriptive, which adds a lot to the game. As fare as roll 20 goes, I'm ok with it. I already have an account set up from prior games.
Alistair Fox
I like roll20, use it for all of my games. Good job so far.
Nico Solter
The game is going great, Thanks Fern!
I use Roll20 and have an account. For games here DMs usually send the game link to players, players log in, and then let the DM know their user name so the DM can link them to their icons.
Lief Stoutspear
I do a lot of my posting from my phone when I have a spare minute at work, and in the past I've had a lot of trouble getting roll20 (and google slides) to work on it. I'm willing to try again but I may need someone to move my icon for me a lot of the time?
Alistair Fox
roll20 is difficult on the phone
Lief Stoutspear
Yeah, I downloaded the slides app and have had more success with that than roll20. Whatever you all want to use is fine with me, I’ll figure something out.
Alistair Fox
Good show old bean!
DM Fern
Made a Roll20 for the game. I will be happy to move folks who have to use their phones -- I find it easier since you can't accidentally grab and move the whole map like you can in Slides. One tip I've noticed when I do it on mine, you can close the whole right side column that pops up by clicking the hamburger icon (with the three horizontal stripes) , and then swiping with two fingers pans the map around. Pinching works to zoom.
All you have to do is click the link above to join it. If you've never used it you'll make an account, and then you won't need the link, the game will be on your page whenever you go to Roll20 after that. If it turns out to be a headache for people I can try another method, I just like having the option for hp bars and status debuff icons and such to keep everything straight in my mind. =)
Once you join (before closing the right hand column) you can go to settings and change your display name to your character name, so I can give you the ability to move/edit your token.
Alistair Fox
I've logged onto the map.
He is risen!
