Elliot, the Red Heron |

If it matters now, Elliot has a scroll of make whole. I was saving it for if Radiance or Eclipse broke, but it is an option. I do agree we shouldnt leave the helms behind at any rate. But perhaps Azira can sense what Iomedae would prefer on how to handle the helms; leave them vs take them with us? After fixing them ofc.
I'll happily cast another disc if we need, and i too would like to recharge a wand. The shield wand is probably down to 30-ish charges, but I could do a different one. His 6 charge true strike one might be good too.

Merixia |

Nah, save your scroll. Hopefully we won't have to fight again any time soon, so if Irabeth agrees, Merixia will use two of her three remaining mythic power uses for make whole spells on the helmets. I agree that we should take them with us, unless Azira gets a feeling that we should leave them be.

Azira Tal-Shirin |

In my mind I thought they were part of a sort of memorial shrine and I wouldn’t want to risk desecrating that by taking them, but I went back and read it again it and now I’m not so sure? If there’s not an obvious shrine type place where they’re supposed to be then I have no objection to bringing them back with us and turning them over to the Eagle Watch or whoever to safeguard.

Worldwound GM |

They were on plinths, but I think that it's a reasonable choice to bring the repaired helms to the Defender's Heart if you're concerned that some cultists will come back to the Garrison and do it all over again.
Unlike the shrine and the chapel, where you can't really take them with you.

Verene Tanaquil |

Thanks for doing that, Merixia.
Ooh, are we detouring into intrigue? Murder on the Wrath of the Righteous Express?
I have a couple of questions remaining for you, GM, now I guess along with "How much time has passed? What have we done so far?"

Azira Tal-Shirin |

I seem to have messed up my shoulder pretty badly. I’ll try not to let it slow me down with posting at all but I might be doing everything one-handed for a while (so I can’t make any promises).Sorry.

Worldwound GM |

Oof, that sucks, Azira. I'll keep that in mind. Hope you feel better soon.
As for Verene's questions.
1. Burning the bodies with what you have is probably impractical - the most you could do would be cook the humans pretty badly. Incinerators and cremation areas need a lot of heat, which doesn't seem practical at this time.
2. This one is probably already answered - which is to say "no."
3. Unless you want to carry the bodies of the cultists back, then you needn't carry any of their bodies. The Children handled that.
4. I'd say it's been about fifteen minutes now since the end of the wardstone battle, and you've investigated all of the rooms upstairs, before heading back down to look in on the now-deceased cultist prisoners.

Elliot, the Red Heron |

Ah, in that case, please pretend i didnt make a comment on the time. Shall we just head back to the tavern?
Also, hope your shoulder gets better, Azira!

Merixia |

@Azira: I hope your shoulder heals quickly and well! You never realize how much you depend on your arms until one of them doesn't work right anymore.
Heading back to the tavern is fine by me. I seriously doubt Merixia found out anything new with that roll, and even if she did, she wouldn't be inclined to say anything that would point the finger at their allies. She's just going through the motions of checking because Elliot asked.
Elliot: Somebody killed our prisoners! D:
Merixia: *insert 'Oh no! Anyway...' meme*

Elliot, the Red Heron |

Elliot: Somebody killed our prisoners! D:
Merixia: *insert 'Oh no! Anyway...' meme*
Hah! Well, thanks anyway :)
I figure there's been so much grief wrought here by these cultists in Kenabres that even someone like Elliot can't bring himself to be really angry about it. Disappointed perhaps, and worried over the purpetrators sliding more towards evil if they keep doing it, but that's about it. He tried!

Verene Tanaquil |

Thanks for the answers, GM. I hope your shoulder heals soon, Azira.

Azira Tal-Shirin |

Thanks for the well wishes! I actually have an artificial shoulder (that I got in my 30s due to complications from a sports injury) so, unfortunately, it won’t heal on its own. I’m seeing a specialist on Wednesday but in the meantime I’ll just keep making do with 1 working hand as best I can.

Verene Tanaquil |

I can't believe I didn't look this rule up when we were fighting dretches, schirs and etc. that were moving past people standing in the doorway (and sometimes moving past them in our turn), but I did for an unrelated reason just now and it might be relevant in the future. "You can’t move diagonally past a corner (even by taking a 5-foot step). You can move diagonally past a creature, even an opponent. You can also move diagonally past other impassable obstacles, such as pits."

Worldwound GM |

Good to remember. I think I've done that myself with some of the NPC moves, and if I haven't, it's purely by coincidence.

Lol. I was going to protest that my dancing shouldn't be that intimidating as I'd just be taking 10 and not going all out, but then I double checked my skill bonus and realized taking 10 puts me at a 25, and I was like, "alright I guess that's pretty high." Then, out of curiosity, I checked the various check results for the perform skill and found this gem...
In time, you may come to the attention of noble patrons and develop a national reputation.
So, I suppose normal people being tentative about dancing with me is completely fair.
edit: it’s good to know that if being a crusader doesn’t pan out I have a promising career as a professional dancer to fall back on

Well, that was a cute scene. Nice writing Meri, I'll try and keep up on the adorkable front :)
And it's nice to meet our new bard and see some Verene/Aravashnial (!)?
Before I forget, I'll do this off screen; Elliot will try and recharge one wand with the Mythic Riftwarden Orphan trait. Does anyone have any preference for which one? The shield wand is used the most and probably down to high twenty's atm, but we have more powerful ones in Verene's CL5 magic missile one and Meri's spiritual weapon one. I'm open to suggestions?
Wand recharge: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8 > 8 charges restored on one of them.

Thanks, and the same to you! I had a great deal of fun with that scene. Elliot is so adorably awkward, I love it. I thought about just making Merixia not notice what was going on for the sake of drama, but with her Sense Motive, that's not really realistic. So she knows but has no clue what to do with that knowledge. Other than "if the guy offers to dance, SAY YES!"
I vote you recharge the shield wand, I would rather our arcane users have a source of AC. We're getting to a point where spiritual weapon has to beat SR anyway, so Merixia would be better off actually preparing the spell herself.

Verene Tanaquil |

Good idea, Elliot. I'll do it too before I forget. I'm also going to go through tonight and figure out how many charges are left on each wand. I think the last time I updated the total charges remaining tallies in their note sections on the loot sheet was halfway through the Gray Garrison. Merixia's spiritual weapon and Verene's mage armor are both less than 5 charges each, so those were going to be my priorities for recharging. The shield wand is also a great choice because I suspect we're going to be using that one all game. I'd like to give Thesius's portion of its cost back to him next time we do a loot split, too, since he hasn't used it at all I believe.
Wand recharge: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Verene won't necessarily go talk to Aravashnial if she sees he already seems to be socializing with people and having a good time, by the way. She just knows she'd be feeling pretty useless and down in his position, and she doesn't want him to get depressed!

@Meri Thanks, I'll keep writing him among those lines then! I wasn't entirely sure how 'confident' he should be in the whole courting thing, given that he has little life experience outside of his training and forced studying. Otoh he was raised in an Ulfen foster family so he probably has some guts? I guess stumbling his way through it seems appropriate.
@Verene All right, I'll have Elliot charge the Shield wand then. Honestly Verene tracking all the wand charges shouldn't fall to you alone I feel, but thanks for offering to do it.
@Everyone How should we divide the Grey Garrison loot, now that we're done? Selling everything we found in the Garrison amounts to around 60000 gold item value, or 30000 g sell value (6 k each). However, there are a lot of good items among them. The +2 cloak of resistance, the adamantine morning star, the ring of protection +1 and the amulet of natural armor +1 for one, and E.G. the +1 blinding steel heavy shield (assuming Irabeth returns this to us so it can be sold.) Who wants to claim what? Elliot would like the Amulet of natural armor +1, though he has had a +1 cloak of resistance sometime before.
There are also a lot of consumables. Not selling the potions and scrolls is around 1700 total /850 g of sale value less (I suggest we keep them).
We could also sell items from the Riftwarden Cache though those in general look like good consumables to have handy.

Verene Tanaquil |

No problem, Elliot. I'm happy to keep track of things like this.
Wand charges left before first chargeup, as of 12/11/2022:
Wand of spiritual weapon 2/50 (found on Hosilla)
Wand of CL 1 magic missile 9/50 (Vagorg)
Wand of cure light wounds 36/50 (this is the one we bought at full charge)
Wand of shield 34/50 (also bought this one full)
Wand of cure light wounds 7/50 (found in the Tower of Estrod)
Wand of bless weapon 17/50 (found in Tower of Estrod)
Wand of CL 5 magic missile 27/50 (Riftwarden cache)
Wand of CL 5 daylight 24/50 (Riftwarden cache)
Individually purchased wands:
Wand of mage armor 3/50 (Verene)
Wand of true strike 6/50 (Elliot)
Wand of grease 6/50 (Elliot)
Verene's first charge-up will go to the spiritual weapon wand, putting it at 8/50 charges again. Elliot's, applied to the shield wand, puts it back at 42/50. I'll amend their totals in the notes in the loot sheet, although this hasn't 'officially' happened in-game yet. I will have to think of a way Verene would even know, in-character, that she could do this! If we have another day or more of downtime before we go out to fight again, I expect these numbers will change some more, too.
As far as loot division, I'm not sure yet what we'll be allowed to keep as 'ours' in-character, which complicates what we can sell a bit. For instance, Verene considers that we owe Anevia at least some of her three potions of invisibility and two of cure moderate wounds back, since only one of each were used, and really it would be more polite to restore them all to her since we found extras. And is the Riftwarden cache stuff really ours to dispose of as we like? Things from the secret armory? (What if we handed them out to the First Children and they weren't used, like the +1 holy arrows? I think it would be nice for the First Children to be able to keep the cold iron weapons and cold iron arrows they were given, at least.) I would hope Irabeth gets to keep her father's sword, but she didn't seem attached to the blinding shield, and that manual of war from the war room looks a lot like fancy money intended for players. And so on.
The only thing I can see keeping for Verene from the Garrison is one scroll of dispel magic and perhaps the horn of battle clarity so she could potentially remove flat-footed from other PCs in the surprise round or beginning of combat. There may be times that she goes first but monsters also roll good initiatives, and so the horn could potentially spare some damage to Azira and Elliot especially (Thesius can no longer be caught flat-footed and Merixia has good flat-footed AC.) But that's a very specific kind of situation. The horn might be better sold for money. I'm not attached to it either way.

Elliot, the Red Heron |

Yeah, the sword was an oversight of course as it belongs to irabeth. I suggested keeping things from the riftwarden cache and i didn't include anything from it in the sell price summary. We could ask Aravashnial for permission on if we can keep everything not used I reckon? I'm fine with paying back Anevia for the potions she granted us too.

Worldwound GM |

Because I'm not going to have them RP that particular thing out, Aravashnial and Anevia are both fine with you keeping/having used the items they gave to you.

Thanks to the divine blessings you have received (as a result of the points you racked up during your attack on the Garrison), all players receive the following:
- +2 to a skill of their choice
- +5 total HP
- One feat of their choice, so long as they fill the prerequisites
- +2 increase to an Ability Score of their choice
Please update your sheets to suit that, and let me know what your choices are.

Azira Tal-Shirin |

Wow, those blessings are awesome! I’ll update my profile as soon as I get to my PC.
As for items, I’m interested in any defensive item we find. I’m limited to light armor and can’t use the shield wand, so rings of protection and amulets of natural armor will be important for me (I’m not trying to claim both right now, but those are both items I’d like to get soon if possible).

Merixia |

A feat AND ability score increase? Sweet! I love the dream sequences, GM. Very evocative and fitting for each character.
I’ll figure out where I want to spend Ragathiel’s blessings later today. Right now I’m in the middle of baking Christmas cookies.
I’m fine with Azira getting one of the AC boosting items, Merixia can cast her own protective spells now that she has the CLW wand to cover healing. I would like a recharge on that eventually, though.

Merixia |

I'm seriously considering Summon Good Monster now that I'm at a level where summoning lasts long enough to be useful. @GM, can I add erelim to the list for Summon Monster V in order to get some angelic firepower for that level? The erelim hadn't been published when Champions of Purity came out, and both of the heavy hitters in Summon Monster V are chaotic. (If you hate dealing with summons in combat, let me know and I can pick a different feat!)
@Thesius, if you're going to ditch Chief Sull's morningstar in favor of the adamantine one, can Merixia have it as a backup weapon in case of DR/bludgeoning or DR/piercing?
@Verene, want one of the sure casting scrolls for your spellbook? I think pierce facade would be a good one for the spellbook as well, given that she's all about the divination.
I would like the scroll of restoration, but I think that's it for stuff Merixia can use. She's currently got the ring of protection but would be happy to give it to Azira, especially given some of the wounds Azira took in the Garrison.

Azira Tal-Shirin |

Ok, here are my choices for the blessings:
+2 acrobatics
+2 Dex
bonus feat: deific obedience [Iomedae]
I'm updating my profile now.

Elliot, the Red Heron |

Woa, the main dieties speak to us directly, and it's only the end of book 1(or the start of 2?)!? :O
Well, those were great dream sequences and the rewards are pretty nice!
I think I'll pick these for the choices:
+2 dex, feat: enforcer, skill: +2 intimidate**
**The only two skills Elliot really needs for his spell/debuff build to work are knowledge: planes and intimidate. The first is to pierce demon energy resistance and the DC is set at 20+target CR. The second is 10+enemy wismod + enemy HD. I am considering taking Mythic Dazzling display at some point later which allows for AOE intimidate checks as non-fullround actions which stacks large penalties on timidate for doing so.
I'm not sure it's worth going for, but if he can somehow get his intimidate high enough he can so swift action demoralises and he otherwise doesn't have much use for the swifts. I'll roleplay it as him unnerving demons with his peaceful/angelic nature or such.
Looking at things, it seems it is easier to get a skill bonus for knowledge than it is for intimidate (tears to wine spell if cast by a wizard or bard helps greatly, also Elliot will at some point get Int headbands. Plus if needed he can take a magus Arcana to learn two wizard spells and do it himself). If anyone has input on this though and if the knowledge is more important then please let me know.

Elliot, the Red Heron |

@GM, before I respond to the dream sequence, does Elliot know who the man in this dream is? I don't recognize him OOC and it does not seem to be Sarenrae's herald.

Verene Tanaquil |

Oh, good call Merixia. I'll keep the scroll of sure casting and use the pierce facade one for copying it into Verene's spellbook. (She can already copy sure casting from Millorn's spellbook and save the use of that scroll.)
I liked the dream sequences too. And those are some pretty sweet blessing-bonuses, indeed. Verene may be conflicted, but I'm definitely not. :) I feel like in general it's best to double down on one's strengths in Pathfinder, so I'm choosing the following for Verene.
- +2 to Diplomacy (wavering on this vs. Spellcraft, but Diplomacy is what you need to redeem people, right? And we plan to start trying to do that at some point?)
- Feat: Additional Traits (Pragmatic Activator, Student of Philosophy*)
- +2 increase to Intelligence
*This is a social trait, so technically it conflicts with Friend in Every Town. However, there is a nearly-identical human racial trait, World Traveler, that is an even more exact match for what that trait is supposed to represent in Verene's backstory. I would have chosen it instead of Friend in Every Town if I knew it existed at the time I was choosing. Can I swap Friend in Every Town for World Traveler? Then there's no conflict. The only difference is that World Traveler doesn't give a +1 trait bonus to Knowledge (Local) as well, but I don't mind losing that.
Also, I don't know how I didn't know this, but I didn't realize background skills could be assigned to a bunch of different skills instead of only the two you chose at first level! Here I've been putting one in Linguistics and one in Knowledge (Geography) every single level, when the Geography, at least, isn't necessary to max at all. I think the last time I rolled it we were level 2. Instead of all 6 in Knowledge (Geography), I'd like to give Verene like one rank in Profession (cook) and one in Craft (books) and several other similarly random non-adventuring skills, to reflect her traveling to a bunch of different temples/monasteries/etc. and taking on any old job they wanted her to do. Is that okay? (I wouldn't choose Craft: Alchemy because that seems to veer a little close to being adventuring-useful.)

Worldwound GM |

@GM, before I respond to the dream sequence, does Elliot know who the man in this dream is? I don't recognize him OOC and it does not seem to be Sarenrae's herald.
He doesn't know him, but can probably intuit that the man's a peri. And thus... probably his ancestor.
I'll respond to the other things when I'm more awake.

Azira Tal-Shirin |

@Verene- if you want to pump up your diplomacy feel free but I’m already at +19, so it’s not really an area where we’re lacking.

Alright, on to the questions...
Merixia: I don't see why you shouldn't be able to. It's the same CR as the babau, which is also on summon monster V's list. Unfortunately, Ragathiel doesn't offer a unique list of summoned monsters for his worshippers, but he does have shield of wings, which is nice.
Verene: I don't mind the trait swap - that's fine. I'd say that the skills would have to be retrained, given how I handled Elliot's class change in the past. I don't think it'd cost too much or the like, though, and you have some downtime to negotiate through it before Sword of Valor starts.
I think that's the questions yet unanswered, but let me know if not.

Verene Tanaquil |

Okay, thanks GM! I might do one background skill retrain then, or I might shine it on. I think Verene's downtime, depending on how much we get, should probably be mostly spent learning spells and crafting items for the group.
Which reminds me: what magic items available from Craft Wondrous Item would people like to request? I've been looking at some decently-low-cost possibilities but I'm sure there are some you guys would like that I've missed. There are primary ability score enhancement bonus items, of course, but I'm not sure we'll be able to afford +4 ones yet (at a cost to craft of 8,000 gp each.) At least not all of us. +2 ability score items are definitely on the table. These are some more that are fairly cheap and we definitely have the spells for — though according to the FAQ, not having someone to cast the correct spell for a crafted wondrous item just adds +5 to the Spellcraft DC for it:
Shining Wayfinder (1000 gp, 1/day protection from evil 3 min)
Scabbard of Vigor (900 gp, 1/day add temporary enhancement bonus to weapon of up to +4 for 1 round or +3 for 3 rounds)
Eyes of the Eagle (1250 gp, +5 competence bonus to Perception)
Cloak of Elvenkind (1250 gp, +5 competence bonus to Stealth, 'creator must be an elf' but really that just means the Spellcraft check is DC 13 instead of DC 8.)
Boots of Elvenkind (1250 gp, +5 competence bonus to Acrobatics, same as above)
Saint's Protection Charm (750 gp, constant +1 deflection bonus to AC and +1 resistance bonus to saves, only vs. extraplanar creatures. Not as good as a ring of protection, but cheaper, wrist slot, and Verene doesn't have Forge Ring.)
Quick Runner's Shirt (500 gp, 1/day extra move action as a swift action at the end of your turn)
Pearl of Power I and II, maybe III (500/2000/4500, 1/day re-cast a prepared and already-cast spell of the given level)
Lesser Talismans (especially Pentacle, for an immediate second save against the scarier kind of charms and compulsions; and Triskelion, same but against entangle/paralyze/slow. Verene is fragile compared to the others so will be considering trying to make the Healing Power talisman even without being able to cast the correct spell and even though it's expensive, for immediate help in case she gets sneak attacked or crit or etc. Note that these take the neck slot but you can wear multiple talismans at once.)
Amulet of Natural Armor +1 or +2 (1000 or 4000 gp, does what it says on the tin. Conflicts with talismans.)
Cloak of Resistance +1-+3 (500, 2000 or 4500 gp, conflicts with cloak of elvenkind.)
Blessed Book (6250 gp - this might be Verene's next big craft-purchase, instead of an intellect headband. She could save so much money over time on copying spells and the hassle of lugging around multiple spellbooks!)
Oh, and how could I forget the Bag of Holding (type III or IV maybe?) as a party purchase.
P.S. Azira, that's a good point. I feel that Diplomacy is kind of like Perception in that it's hard to have too many people in the group be good at it, and thus far the Diplomacy checks we've encountered have been a lot harder relative to our level than the Spellcraft checks, so I'll probably stick with Diplomacy for Verene.

Merixia |

Merixia will be happy to assist with all your cleric spellcasting needs! Sadly, though, she can’t cast cure critical wounds yet.
Talisman or amulet of natural armor… decisions, decisions. I have good Will and Fort saves, so amulet it is. Maybe there’s a friendly druid, ranger, or shaman around who will provide the barkskin spell.
Pearls of power are always a good thing! I tried to buy one last time we went shopping and rolled poorly on the “does Defender’s Heart have the thing for sale” roll.

Verene Tanaquil |

Thanks Merixia! Yeah, I was surprised to find that the Spellcraft DC increase for crafting an item while not having a casting of the spell available was only +5. Between that and being able to take 10 on such checks, I think the amulet of natural armor is well within reach even if we can't find a friendly druid/ranger/shaman. It would be nice if we could, of course.
Changes due to the bonuses, especially the +2 Int combined with the two new traits, were a bit more extensive than I thought they would be, so I'll lay them out here.
- Spell DCs, Concentration, and Int-based skills all +1
- +1 ability score bonus spell per day for 1st-level and 2nd-level spells (now 6 each of 1st-level and 2nd-level spells prepared per day: 3 base, 2 ability score bonus, 1 school spell)
- Languages known +1 (choosing Thassilonian)
- +1 skill point per level (so +6, applying 2 to Use Magic Device, 2 to Stealth, and 2 to Bluff)
Combined with the two new traits, that puts Use Magic Device at +12 (6 rank, 6 Int), most uses of Bluff at +8 (2 rank, 6 Int), Stealth at +5 (3 rank, 2 Dex) and Thamyris Stealth +20 as he uses Verene's ranks, and most uses of Diplomacy at +21 (6 rank, 3 class skill, 6 int, 3 familiar, 1 trait, 2 untyped blessing-bonus.)

Elliot, the Red Heron |

Okay, so to get an idea of what we claim/afford for Verene's crafting shop: I did a bit of calculating and assuming we sell everything from the grey garrison EXCEPT the consumables and the below items, we have 36444 gold of total item value for sale, which is 3644.4 g each in the amount of gold each of us have to spend after selling. (50% sale penalty, divided by 5 people). The items I excluded for sale in this number are:
-The ring of protection +1
-The amulet of natural armor +1
-The cloak of resistance +2
-The Adamantine Morningstar +1
-Irabeth's Longsword
-All consumables (except the one slaying arrow, that is so expensive I suggest selling it) from both the grey garrison and the Riftwarden cache (we could have more gold if we sell more consumables/special ammo).
(I suggest we sell the horn of battle clarity as it is rather expensive for a somewhat situational effect and probably better for each of us to have more gold, especially if we can craft with it).
So As far who claims what, these are some suggestions:
-Amulet of Natural armor +1: To Azira? With Merixia giving her her ring of protection +1 as mentioned above.
-The new Ring of Protection +1: To me/Elliot?
-The +1 adamantine morningstar To Thesius? Currently claimed by him on the loot list.
-The cloak of resistance +2: Useful for everyone, currently unclaimed/wished for in a post I believe. To Merixia as she is our main healer?
-All scrolls and such: Divided between Verene/Merixia?
This would leave Verene without a claimed item though... Perhaps we could keep this in mind for future loot priority?
Assuming Elliot gets the +1 ROP, he pays back 360 g to Verene from the last shopping trip. Then he'd like to commission a +1 amulet of natural armor, the upgrade for his Cloak of resistance to +2 and a level 1 Pearl of Power for 3 k total. He would like to request one of those Pentacle charms for 300 g if he fails a save vs dominate but he would be around 16 g short and need to sell like one potion of cure light wounds, I assume people are okay with this?

Verene Tanaquil |

GM, what from the treasure sheet since our last division of money should we consider salable? Could things that aren't really 'ours' be marked with red outlines or something, possibly? Just to make it faster than asking about everything individually.
In any case, I think that is right as a ballpark figure, Elliot, and all told we'll have 3500 to 4500 gp each to spend as we see fit during this selling/buying period. I'm fine with selling the horn of battle clarity and the consumable items like magic arrows unless someone else wants them. I'd like to keep the wands of magic missile and daylight for now; magic missile to replace Verene's crossbow, which I fear has come to the end of its useful life, and daylight to sell a bit later on. If it was fully charged up, it could be sold for 5625 gp. The magic missile wand is not as valuable as daylight but is still pretty valuable, so if we get to keep it, that can be Verene's claimed item from this section. Thesius is the last person without a cloak of resistance so I figured he might want that cloak, but it's up to him.
The wondrous items you describe sound good, with one exception. The amulet of natural armor conflicts with any of the Lesser Talismans because they both use the neck slot, as described above. Any change to that requires explicit permission from the GM. E.g. if you wanted to create a Talisman that goes in a different slot (like instead of being a charm on a necklace it's a charm on a bracelet on the wrist), you could maybe do it for 1.5x the cost, or make it slotless for 2x the cost, as though using the rules for creating a new magic item from scratch. That is totally at GM discretion though.

Azira Tal-Shirin |

I don’t need to claim the ring and amulet right away if someone else wants/needs them too.
My first priority for shopping, if it’s available, would probably be to pick up a mithral breastplate (or a +1 mithral breastplate if we get enough gold). If that’s not available, I would be very interested in a +2 Dex and/or Cha item, if we have enough time for Verene to craft them.

I think I've gotten everything in order.
The evil outsider bane arrows are currently up in the air - if you want to sell them to the crusaders, then the Children will accept it, but they'd also like to hold onto them personally.
The war-room documents, the helms, the cold iron longswords, and Irabeth's father's sword are all off the table, since I assume you don't mind the longswords not being sold and the first two aren't really your loot, per se.
I've also added the price of the library books to the sheet - they're 50 gp each, with the manual of war priced as normal.
While I'd normally give you the ability to sell them at a higher price than usual, Kenabres isn't actually flush with cash or services at the moment, so it'll stay at the usual 50%.
EDIT: Glad to see you're back, Thesius, I was just going to PM you. xD
Azira: Mithral breastplates cost... 4200, which is, unfortunately, too expensive for the Heart to have at the moment. Remember the limited supplies means that anything from 101-2500 gp has a 75% chance to be available. Anything up to 100 is available, while anything more than 2500 is not.
You could, of course, wait for the Queen's army to arrive. They'll relieve much of that pressure.

Azira Tal-Shirin |

It sounds like Verene already has a bit of a queue for crafting, so I suspect I’ll be waiting either way. We’ll see what’s available once the queen’s army arrives (hopefully there won’t be a huge amount of additional fighting between now and then).

Elliot, the Red Heron |

Unless there are pressing matters i would suggest waiting for the queen's army to arrove to do major shopping, perhaps only have Verene start crafting. Unless there is a major demon invasion following the events it sounds like we're doing cleanup of remaining/less dangerous enemies in the city?
Verene, how are you getting to 4500 g sell value? What else do you suggest we sell now?
I'll wait a bit on what to suggest crafting for Elliot before I know the budget. If we sell enough to have 4k ish as a budget i'd prefer a dex belt + int belt instead.

Thesius Monteblanc |

Yeah, last week was busier then normal with needing help my mom and younger siblings. It's amazing how it seems to not be one thing at a time time, but 50. I still plan on getting caught up tonight and making a post.

Verene Tanaquil |

Welcome back Thesius, hope this week is less busy for you and your family. And thanks for doing that, Worldwound GM! Do the library books give any mechanical benefit, or are they just loot intended to be sold on?
Elliot, I just wasn't sure if we'd be able to sell all of the consumable arrows, if you'd included the Chime of Opening and the Horn of Battle Clarity, if we were selling off one of the +1 morningstars now that we had two, etc. (Unless you feel strongly about it, Merixia, I'd rather we sell magic weapons that aren't going to be someone's primary weapon rather than keeping them as backups. For now, they're valuable enough and we're low-level enough that the money would make a difference, and a regular or masterwork backup weapon in case of S/P/B type damage resistances is probably pretty easy to obtain. Similarly, I want to sell the Chime because using it is actually worse odds than Thesius trying any given lock, and it's fairly valuable.) If we sell everything Worldwound GM has currently marked as carried by one of us except the individual consumables, defensive items and primary weapons, we'll have a bit over 4100 gp each.

*I think these were double-added somehow. There are two separate rows that are both 6 books worth 50 gp each, so I only counted one of them.
Personally I'm happy to wait for the army to arrive to do major shopping, but Verene will get started crafting now for any day we don't have cultist-cleanup/survivor-rescuing adventuring to do. Magic items take 1 day to craft per 1,000 gp of their base price (not cost), assuming one can spend 8 hours each day working on them, so each 4000-gp +2 ability score item will take four days of downtime.

Glad to see you again, Thesius! I hope things calm down for you soon, and that you’re feeling better now.
Unless you feel strongly about it, Merixia, I'd rather we sell magic weapons that aren't going to be someone's primary weapon rather than keeping them as backups. For now, they're valuable enough and we're low-level enough that the money would make a difference, and a regular or masterwork backup weapon in case of S/P/B type damage resistances is probably pretty easy to obtain.
That’s a good point. Okay then, sell the magic morningstar and I’ll see if there’s a masterwork cold iron version to be had as a backup weapon. Damage type resistances are on my mind right now since my archery ranger in another game is facing down an enemy with DR/bludgeoning. Wouldn’t you know it, I forgot to buy her a blunt weapon. Improvised greatclub time! This should be interesting. XD
If Verene is making +2 stat items, I would like to request a belt of giant strength. Which reminds me…
Blessing Allocations
+2 Wis
+2 Sense Motive, since I’m pretty sure Merixia is the only one with ranks in that skill
Summon Good Monster (+erelim for Summon Monster V)
I’m on mobile right now so I’ll modify my sheet later.

Verene Tanaquil |

Oh, and of course I messed up the math slightly. It's a bit more than that total because a few of those things are just worth their listed value, and don't have to be sold at 50%.

Thesius Monteblanc |

I'll dig into items more later, but Thesius would be fine with someone else taking the +2 and he'll take the +1.

Merixia |

Hate to say it, Verene, but you have wizard saves. I strongly suggest you take the cloak of resistance +2.
I removed the ring of protection +1 and scrolls from my sheet while I was updating it, so now all I have to do is give the ring to Azira ("Here, try to stay in one piece, okay?") and the scrolls of sure casting and pierce facade to Verene in game.
