Ah, Netz! Haha, that will be Turq's name for you! XD
Judd leads you to the Standing Stones, twenty menhir of solid granite, each standing at least 8 feet tall, some taller, are arranged in a triangular pattern, with one standing in the center. A low singing elevates itself above the winds, and a soft glow emanates from within...
As you approach the outer perimeter, you look beyond, to see a pair of figures, each bundled in furs. One of them is larger, with wild, thick black hair, while the other is slighter of frame, possibly female, with a wide brimmed hat with what look like teeth or horns hanging from the edges...
Image of smaller figure minus the flaming hand. ;) Sorry, can't find a good picture of the taller druid.
They do not seem to have noticed you yet.

BTW, Rodalas, you only need to roll if you are not getting his attention or making your presence known. If he turns to face you, you may look at the spoiler. The check is only to see if you are remaining hidden.
Aeshuura
|
Not other than your usual. The die roll is basically just to see if you are lucky enough to see his face, as his back is currently away from you. Your allies could reveal themselves and you could remain hidden, to get him to turn around, but that would be their choice...

In other words, unless you tell him not to, Baldrick's probably about 5 seconds away from shouting at them.
Aeshuura
|
It is still there. What would you like to do with that information, then? (See spoiler)
| Baldrick Longhall |
Insight: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (8) - 1 = 7
Rodalas nods wisely, knowingly, toward the group. Baldrick, unfortunately, is observing the eladrin's knee and misses the signal.
Looking up and ahead to the pair of figures in the stone circle, Baldrick points at them with his warhammer, raising his voice to be heard over the wind: "Hello? Excuse me! Can you help us? We're trying to find someone."
Aeshuura
|
The two druids turn to face the bunch of you... Anyone hiding roll Stealth.
Welcome to this sacred place, the dark-skinned man booms, his arms wide in welcome, Have you come to offer tribute to Thruun?
| Baldrick Longhall |
Baldrick frowns, scratching at a temple with his warhammer: "N.. No? Thrune? No - we're looking for a guy what killed this elvish lady and dragged her into the lake. You... uh.. y'seen anyone like that around?"
| Rodalas Windrace |
Hearing Baldrick make his accusation, Rodlas will place a hand on his weapons, ready for a fight.
Aeshuura
|
I am sorry, I do not know of what you speak...
His daughter, on the other hand looks at him with a look of realization dawning, then that look turns to anger, Father! You killed her?!? She was my friend!
Her hand ignites in flame...
What would you like to do?
| Baldrick Longhall |
Pointing his warhammer at the druid: "AHA! It was you! You are coming with us to face jus..." turning his head to look at Rodalas: "Wait, are we taking him to the Speaker or back to the lake?"
Aeshuura
|
@Rodalas, you get the sense that the elf woman meant something more than mere friends, for this reaction is the result of a spark that has ignited weeks of suspicion... The man looks at her like a child throwing a tantrum and looks to be ready to call upon some power. If you want to start conversation, it will take some skillful intervention and quickly!
Aeshuura
|
Can I slash him?
If that is the intent, then we roll initiative. I just wanted to give you all a chance to direct this encounter a little...
| Lumen Oakleaf |
Lumen watches the two as Rodalas tries to get a closer look. He's a bit taken aback when Baldrick draws attention to the group. Lumen notices that the man appears to be lying but is surprised by his daughter's reaction as he thought the man was just trying to deceive the group.
I'm not very persuasive so I'm not going to try.
Aeshuura
|
Will give a little more time in case anyone wants to, "Whoa, whoa, whoa!" If not, we will go into initiative!
| Baldrick Longhall |
I don't think Baldrick has enough awareness to realize the others might be prepping for an attack, but I'll make his implied question real and maybe roll Persuasion, if that's alright:
"So! Er, are you gonna come peacefully?"
Persuasion: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
lol - maybe not!
| Baldrick Longhall |
btw, @Aeshuura, if it comes down to combat (and if you'll allow it), I'd like to use Baldrick's Tides of Chaos ability to gain advantage on his Initiative roll.
| Rodney Lash |
Insight: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
"Now hold on darling there is no need for that. Lets first find out what's going on here so the dead can rest in peace and not haunt the living ok? So you just put that torch hand away and let have a talk." Rodney tries to calm things down.
Persuasion: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
| Khitt |
Approaching the druids.
Stealth: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Insight: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
| Khitt |
Khitt moves quietly among the stones barely noticed. His careful steps putting him in a position to suprise the druids should this come to violence.
Sensing the druids hesitation, Khitt understands that they know something about the elf’s death. The question is, what exactly happened.
Aeshuura

btw, @Aeshuura, if it comes down to combat (and if you'll allow it), I'd like to use Baldrick's Tides of Chaos ability to gain advantage on his Initiative roll.
You got it!
--
The druid ignores you and turns to his daughter. In his booming voice he addresses her, Listen to the man, Irissa, this will not end well if you continue this course.
Rodney's words seem to have reached through, at least enough to halt immediate action, but she responds to Rodney, rather than her father, You have no idea what he is capable of... he cares for no one but himself! But murder... I didn't want to believe it, I wanted to believe what he told me, that she left me behind... D-did you find her body?
Aeshuura
|
Okay, that starts combat!
Baldrick 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 71d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Khitt 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Lumen 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
Netzer 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Rodalas 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Rodney 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Umikh 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
Druid 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Frost Druid 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Sorry, Baldy, still going second to last, despite the advantage. People rolled REALLY well...
Initiative - Round 1
Rodalas -> Khitt -> Druids -> Umikh -> Netzer -> Lumen -> Baldrick -> Rodney
Rodalas slips in like a dart! Remember, Rodalas, you have advantage because they have not gone yet... Khitt, you too, because your stealth roll was successful.
| Rodalas Windrace |
Feeling himself as the avenger of the Elven people, he moves up and slpokes with his rapier
2d20 + 5 ⇒ (12, 5) + 5 = 22 17 total
1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 piercing if hit
2d6 ⇒ (2, 6) = 8 sneaky, if hit
and dagger
2d20 + 3 ⇒ (8, 19) + 3 = 30 22 total
1d4 ⇒ 4 if hit
2d6 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2 sneaky if first sneaky does not hit
Aeshuura

I never noticed this, but you can't use both a rapier and dagger in the same round. Both weapons need to be light for Two Weapon fighting, unless you have the Dual Wielder feat. Please keep that in mind for future rounds.
Rodalas slips around the flank of the druid, thrusting his slim elvish blade into the elder druid! The eyes of the dark-skinned man flash icy blue and a shield of ice wards off what, surely, would have been a killing blow! Almost out of spite, the Eladrin slashes with his dagger, catching the man across the cheek! Frost Druid takes 23 hp! Nice hit!
Khitt is up, then the druids!

Ugh so sorry for the delay. Work went from 'I have so much free time wheeee' to drowning! I'll assume my short character didn't have a great view of the conversation but picks up this is our bad guy when the daughter throws her accusation.
Welp, guess this is the one Roddy...Rodalas talked about. And he runs up to swing with that axe: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 unsure if that hits, but if it does 2-handed damage: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5.
Aeshuura

No worries! Life has a way of doing that... We are waiting on your husband, is he slammed too? I was going to bot him...
Aeshuura

Not skipping Khitt's turn, but having him Ready an Action after moving into position...
After surviving the onslaught of the vengeful Eladrin, the frost druid calls upon the elemental forces in the area and ice forms along his body creating an exoskeleton of an icy tree around him! The ground surrounding him juts ice through the surface causing uneasy footing and he swings an icy sickle at Rodalas!
Ice Sickle 1 (hah!): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Ice Sickle 2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
The icy blade slashes at Rodalas twice! The blade itself is not the worst of it, though, the chilling cold bites through to the Eladrin's bones! Rodalas takes 6 total slashing damage and 10 total cold damage!
The frost druid's daughter curses his name and hurls a gout of flame at him! produce flame: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 The icy behemoth slaps the flame ball out of the air, with hardly a thought!
Umikh charges in, slashing with his axe, taking a small chunk of ice off of the druid's side! A small trickle of blood wells, then freezes in place! -5 hp for the frost druid!
Okay everyone else is up!
Initiative - Round 1
Rodalas -> Khitt -> Druids -> Umikh -> Netzer -> Lumen -> Baldrick -> Rodney
Frost Druid -28 hp
Nezter "Spleenripper"
|
Netzer watches the druid attack and a dim place in his mind hears the helpless scream of death wash over his group and his scream echoes out as blind, burning RAAAAAGGGGEEEEEE consumes him. YYYAAAAAHHHH DIE!
Netzer charges his axe coming up and he swings at that druid in a wide chopping arc
Netzer attacks: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
damage: 1d12 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Aeshuura
|
Netzer's axe buries itself deep into the side of the frost druid, spraying an arc of crimson amongst the icy terrain! -14 hp for the frost druid!
Initiative - Round 1
Rodalas -> Khitt -> Druids -> Umikh -> Netzer -> Lumen -> Baldrick -> Rodney
Frost Druid -42 hp
Baldrick and Rodney are up! Rodalas and Khitt are on deck! (Can post, and I will adjudicate after Badrick and Rodney go!)
| Khitt |
sorry been a busy couple days. If you’ll allow I’d just drop a bonus action for hunters mark on the male Druid.
Crossbow: 2d20 + 7 ⇒ (12, 17) + 7 = 36
Piercing: 1d8 + 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + (4) + 3 = 10
Khitt lines up his shot and releases a bolt. ”Khat! Attack!” he says in the goblin language. Khatt will move up next to the Druid taking the dodge action.
