I am stuck on my phone at the moment and the Google slides app will not update. It still has everyone in starting positions.

Technology is weird! There are no enemies around (you killed them all!) so will have Parrameleh just run up the stairs to the closest threat if that's okay.

Both Andrelis and Parrameleh dash to the closest enemy - Andrelis to Iluvia and Parrameleh to the thug.

Iluvia simply touches Tuck while chanting a spell. (It provokes, but Tuck does not hit with his AOO attempt). A blast of fire bursts forth from her hands!

Iluvia laughs as Tuck burns and falls to the ground. "Serves you right! Don't mess with House Thrune. Oh yes, Abrograil Thrune knows all about you Pathfinders now."

As she speaks, the spiders skitter towards Yuzu and Parrameleh (as well as the thug. The spiders start biting the trio!

The thug passes out as the spiders start swarming and he falls to the ground!

Reading the GM's update Tuck would be at -4 since he made his Reflex save and Kaseem's channel got him to 0 HP; just as a reminder, drinking a potion *does* provoke an AoO.

Sadly they have a very good touch AC due to their small size and Dex bonus. Also don't forget to add 50% to the damage in case the Alchemist's Fire hits.


Yep, Tuck would become Disabled after Kaseem used his channel. Drinking the potion *would* provoke an AOO, but she has no weapon out, which I believes means she can't make an AOO. (She has a sickle on her side but is not currently wielding it).

Kaseem channels, reviving the downed Tuck (as well as healing Parrameleh and Yuzu). Tuck pops a potion out of his wrist sheath and downs it.

Yuzu moves away from the spiders and lobs an alchemist fire. But her aim is off and it just burns the railing. (They have surprisingly high touch AC).

Then Andrelis runs up and skewers her with his sword. She's distracted by Tuck, so she doesn't notice him at first! (Crit!
But since Tuck is prone, she would not be flat-footed.
)

Both of our misses only miss by one square. The location is randomised but it doesn't matter as it can't hit any other characters. The spiders still take one point of splash damage from each vial of alchemist's fire.

Garaleth unleashes more missiles at the woman! She screams in pain and swears at Garaleth in Infernal.

Parrameleh lobs a vial of alchemist fire at the spider swarm, but it doesn't matter. Because one by one, each spider pops out of existence until there are no more.

Iluvia swears some more, then reaches over to Andrelis and touches him . (Provokes an AOO from both Andrelis and Tuck. Since Tuck is still prone, he has a -4 penalty).

Then, as his brother and favorite source of snacks seem to have the woman rather subdued, Gareleth holds his wand leveled at her and says, "Best to surrender now, my dear. If you prefer, we can discuss the terms of your surrender over dinner."

Readied action to blast her with magic missile again if she decides not to surrender.

Iluvia doesn't surrender... because Tuck trips her then Andrelis slices her throat open. She starts gargling and grasping her throat, unable to speak. Within seconds, the life drains from her eyes as she collapses, dead.

The raven (probably her familiar) flies away as fast as it can. As it does, it speaks in a devilish language.

Infernal:

"Abrograil Thrune will soon know what the Pathfinders have done. Be prepared to face the wrath of Cheliax. We will destroy you and everything the Pathfinder Society stands for."

What do you do now? There is a door to the east of Andrelis is slightly ajar. You also have the bodies of four Cheliax authorities, one of them a Hellknight.

Satisfied with his looting search of the 'law enforcement agent' Andrelis will poke his head into the office to see if Zelfiro is still there.


Yuzu shoots a bow at the fleeing raven, Inverness. Direct hit! But it's hard to shoot a moving target, especially one so small. Sometimes you have to sacrifice a bit of power for accuracy.

Hit with 5 points of damage! But it's still up and continues flying away!

Do you search the bodies and/or continue to search the rest of the wing?

Yuzu heaves a sigh and lowers her bow as the raven-- now a little less steadily-- keeps going.

She re-holsters her various weapons and joins Andrelis and Tuck at Iluvia's fresh corpse to lend a hand with the search; getting a Hellknight out of her armor (for Advanced Looting Searching) is only marginally less difficult with her dead.

Andrelis hastily points to whatever resonates as magical upon the Hellknight's corpse, leaving Tuck and Yuzu to claim anything of value, of course while diligently searching for her orders.

Andrelis, Parra, and Kaseem all head into the offices in search of Zelfiro, or anything of note which they may find.

The raven continues to fly away.

Searching the body of Iluvia, Andrelis and Kaseem find a note. Sounds like Iluvia was state sanctioned to capture apprehend Zefiro, his work, and question any known associates (i.e. you).

Andrelis opens the door to Zefiro's offices. Bookshelves and display cases stand in the corners of this large office. An oaken desk sits in the middle of the room with large windows set in the wall on either side of it. Doors to the south open to a raised terrace, and a large painting of Abrogail II hangs on the north wall.

Andrelis notices a latch on the painting's frame that allows it to be shifted to one side, revealing a secret door. He pops open the secret door. Several bookshelves, a desk, and a display case crowd this cramped room. To the left stands a statue of Aroden. The group finds an early (and now publicly redacted) diary filled with tales of infernal war crimes committed by Thrune, an Aspis Consortium cargo manifest for a shipment from Taldor to Khari, and Zefiro's holy Arodenite scriptures.

DC 15 Appraise, Knowledge (history or nobility), or relevant Profession (e.g. librarian, etc.) or DC 20 Perception:
You can identify key records that the Pathfinder Society would want preserved, and you may be able to then smuggle these out of Cheliax before the Order of the Rack discovers and destroys them.

Yuzu works quickly on gathering up the important items and getting them into Satsuki’s saddlebags. She only pauses for a few moments to pet her—down from her usual borderline obsessive cooing over her horse.


As Yuzu is stuffing the important papers into her bags, the Pathfinders hear sounds of concern and alarm outside. The conflict did not go unnoticed - perhaps due to the raven getting away, but perhaps other Chelish Hellknights were in other parts of the museum. A larger force is likely on the way. The Pathfinders will probably need to exit with haste (e.g. no time for healing or any other dillydallying!)

Completely missed my Perception check to see Andrelis found the records. And the GM has used the power of BOXTEXT to prevent Kaseem from healing Andrelis!

Sounds like the authorities are closing in, perhaps we should make ourselves scarce? Making to follow Parrameleh as quickly as possible carrying the valuables out the door...

Gareleth does manage to kill the raven, but it doesn't matter. The guards are coming either way! Parrameleh checks to doors and the group of Pathfinders run out, leaving the Hellknight and the other Chelish guards they killed behind. Right as they leave, they hear other Hellknights enter and look around - cutting it very close!

Yuzu grabs Satsuki and they get out of dodge. Luckily, they manage to board a ship out of Corentyn before authorities are able to find you. With what you've found, the infernal empire is hoping to reshape their national narrative by falsifying the past. If Taldor ever founded a colony so deep in Rahadoum, Ibhir was not it.

Back in Absalom, Master of Swords Marcos Farabellus can barely restrain his fury at Cheliax's duplicity and use of the Society as a cat's paw to validate Chelish lies. He sends for Ianareth Alazario, the new liasion from Cheliax, only to find that she has slipped away from the Grand Lodge to "attend to business abroad." Farabellus assures the group of you, "Cheliax may be more powerful than the Pathfinder Society, but we will NOT suffer this indignity with a smile.". He puts his hands on his desk and looks directly at each of you. "Remain in Absalom. Wait further word about a daring mission that I just begun to plan."

Mission is over! Feel free to roleplay the trip back, dodging Chelish authority, or talking to Farabellus. Is there interest in Part 3? I can set up a table sometime this weekend. Will also get your chronicles out sometime today or tomorrow
