Back from my long absence, aiding!
Knowledge (engineering), aid: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Iolandra Zamfi
Standing on the ramparts, Iolandra waits for the enemy to come within range, preparing to hamper their advance.
Once the advancing bandits are within bow range (120ft) cast Entangle entered on them. 40ft radius
DM The nines
damn that was a pretty good roll!
You could see the easily a dozen armed folk start to appear from a slight dip in the land to the east and just as they appeared to be advancing decently spread out you all heard the creaking of the light catapult on the southern corner whir into action.
fort save: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 4 + 2 = 20
damage: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 4, 5) = 20
The catapult handles the strain just fine, despite its age and you all watch in wonder as the heavy stones within it arc into the sky...and one unlucky bandit busy fiddling with something in his belt pouch glances up when another bandit yells something and tries to turn and run only to be clipped ring the back by a huge chunk of rock. The bandits all freeze and take one look at the fort.
The leader screams something and they start to charge forward no doubt wanting to close the distance as much as possible before more rock comes flying their way. Their appear to be three groups of them now.
wisdom check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Iolandra takes a careful view of the advancing forces and casts an entangle spell on the far right group able to catch all but one of them within the spell
Start of Round 2
It will take the operators of the catapults 2 more rounds to reload. The enemy is at just at the far range of bow range. with a perception check of DC18 you can pinpoint the person giving orders, although other perception checks will give you addition information.
Party is up, then the enemies
Dravox Maragon
Dravox peers out into the darkness to search for the leader giving orders as he absent-mindedly helps Cole reload the catapult for the next firing.
Perc, DC18: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Are they close enough for Detect magic, or too far in the distance?
Cole Burrns
Concentrating, Cole keeps working the Catapult, hoping for at least one more shot before abandoning it.
Can I fire a bucket of 'Grapeshot' made of gathered pebbles with a couple of my Alchemist's Fire buried inside it? Range will be terrible, but we might hit multiple opponents instead, and light up the field a bit to aid out ranged/archers in combat.
Iolandra Zamfi
Iolandria begins another spell chanting in druidic to a trio of pebbles in her palm, reminding the stones of their greater power they held decades ago, before being eroded.
Cast Magic stone. Load stone into sling
Cole Burrns
Cole barks over his shoulder quickly.
"Soon enough cousin! Be ready!"
Dravox Maragon
In between catapult loading motions Dravox points to the distance.
Those two look... different. I can't put my finger on how. Can anybody see them better than me?
