She taps her ring and whispers into it. Then she states to Quince, "Jorne will be here soon, also should I play my trump card?" She keeps her eyes on the abberations and does her best at dodging, she is prepared to continue heal herself and her husband.


The white haired elf laughs at the pitiful attack as the arrow shatters upon his magical defenses. He yells out, "You best run little rabbit... oh no better yet, little fox!"

His squad of monstrous soldiers charge towards Lykan.

At the north gate, Vesi rushes towards the breach in the wall, trying to see if the army of creatures was heading this way. It was heartbreaking to see the injured and the dead, the broken wall and buildings.

The druid attempts to organize the defenders - civilians into helping each other away from where they might be in harm's way if another attack happens, the soldiers and militias into barricading the gap as best they could.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (4) + 23 = 27


Vesi, near the breach of the wall, at street level, you see a ten foot tall opaque wall barring the monstrous army from entering the breach, though there is no sign of them. At least of new threats, as many corpses are around both of humans and monsters.
With Vesi's efforts the civilians help each other away from the wall and into any available building.

Near Vesi, he can be seen holding up his hands to concentrate on a spell, flames stretching from one hand to the other. A creature springs from the roof of a nearby building and

He easily snatches the creature from out of the air and tosses it aside, still focusing on his spell. A few figures appear and finish of the creature. They each pull off a ring and then return it, turning invisible again.


Lykan, as long as you continue with your move and shoot tactics... Lykan is able to slowly widdle down the paltoon of armored monsters that are after him.

Quince whispers back, "Go for it."

Quince turns and strikes out toward another foe. He clicks his heels to activate the haste effect.

She pulls out a bone whistle that hangs from her neck, nothing magical, just a signal whistle.


Eight figures materialize nearby as they attack the creatures. Arrows, slashing daggers, stabbing polearms, and a few well placed scorching rays leaves the attakers decimated. Only the two large ones remain and they haven't been hurt much. In the next two rounds the squad of eight adventurers/mercenaries/bodyguards, what ever they may be, help you clear out the monsters threatening the Lord Marshal and his Lady. I forget what is the title you are using? For me it is easier to just call you a Duke.

As the bodies are flung over the wall into the fire by the stronger lads, the others check their gear and with a nod rub their rings and turn invisible again. Only a few moments pass before they are all gone and Jorne arrives quickly climbing the wall outside.

He slips over the crenelation and onto the wall and looks around a bit confused. He then states, "You could have told me to take my time. Nothing urgent seems to be going on here... or was there? Anyways I know you don't want to throw our forces out at them but unless we poke the bear, this seige is going to take days! Look at those poor soldiers all concentrating on walls of fire. I mean look at them some have arrows sticking out of them, now there is some commitment. Please allow me to take Larina, Saren, Lykan, and... Krazok, oh and Tristan.... too many good selections..."

Jorne nods to Quince and jumps off the wall through the flaming walls. Then on the group channel, he requests, "We have been authorized to use the Omega protocol. Advance with elites, leave the soldiers and guards to defend. I repeat Omega protocol has been activated. All invisible stalkers are to advance in formation."

Vesi sees Sulvanii release his spell and begins to fly towards the hole. Several distortions move about him.


A few moments later after Omega protocol has been activated. A massive fiery Nessian Hellhound bounds down the street, Vesi can see it as it passes the buildings which do obstruct her view of it for moments. The creature with its rider runs through the hole and through the fire wall without any hesitation.

Sniping off another shot from yet another position as the elf jumps from tree to tree and then moving for the lower undergrowth, making sure to slowly keep up his guerrilla style combat against those creatures.

In a straight up fight, he wasn't their match being outnumbered but his time as the Mad Lord of the plains now highlighted that deadly agility for hunting and bleeding his foes out. It wasn't a fast fight but for the elf it needn't be. All he needed was to buy time for reinforcement or to ensure less foes for his friends. Yes his friends.

Diving into yet another bush, he rolls on his back to his feet and half turning takes a tiny moment to sight and loose another arrow and grins as he hears yet another guttural grunt as the shaft hits home.

"Omega Protocol? What's that? I'm dancing with some partners in the jungle. Will get back as soon as I can and you have playmates coming towards you as well."

"Reinforcements are coming your way Lykan. Keep backing up and they will be there soon. Omega protocol authorizes adventurers to embark upon the enemy in strength, they will not be supported if harm is possible to defenders."


Lykan and those on the walls see figures running out of the flames and into the monstrous army. A mounted dragon, a mounted large if not huge hell hound, then about a dozen other figures emerge from the flames.

Kendryl and the flying battalion return to Quince's section of the wall.

Lykan is no where to be seen.

Lykan:
You are behind enemy lines and soon enough the monstrous soldiers attacking are down. Sure there are pockets of goblins, ogres, trolls, and even worse. What do you do?

Explosions and fighting can be seen from the far distance.

A cloud of black smoke comes from Quince's lamp. Soon Sulvanii forms out of the smoke and states, "The next waves will be of well trained monstrous humanoids. They seem to have motivation to gut us. I am done wading through the throngs of their army. If anything my bow shall aid you here."


Squads of goblins move along the flames doing their best to not get burnt. The fight taken to the monstrous army is hard to see except for the flashes of evocation magic. Then a massive wave of ice ushers forward, the walls of fire in its path wink out of existence. This leaves a large tunnel straight to the West gate. The monstrous forces move forward with speed.

He does his best to pick off stragglers form the back but he knew his ammunition was running low. Soon he'll have to engage in hand to hand combat and it wasn't one he was truly skilled in.

Keeping up with the massive army and trying to stay unseen was proving quite a difficult task.

She asks Quince with a bit of concern in her voice, "Dear do you have any other wounds?"

You realize that the well trained soldiers are not following you any more, now you are amongst the groups of ogres, trolls, goblins, orcs, and other monstrous foes.

Do you want to head back to the wall to get more ammo, maybe take a break as those monstrous soldiers are serious business.

Then turning the ring to his liege and asks, "Quince how are things going on the wall? I see Sulvanii left, is he with you?"


After the wave of frost that took out a section of walls, you see those figures that charged forward are retreating. That is likely your allies, or it could be scouts but many of them run through walls of fire... so likely not.

The four concentrating soldiers 'wake up' it takes them a round to realize where they are. They find the wand being held up by the last soldier. In the next 8 rounds they each take the wand and visualize the spell again in the same spot, though the last soldier is not able to as the wand ran out.

You see a few figures in the distance breaking free from the monstrous horde and coming towards the wall. Which could be advance scouts for the enemy or retreating allies.

The horde of monstrous soldiers charge down the clear path. The one monstrous soldier is holding a glowing blue orb that slowly grows in intensity.

Some of that seemed like it was intended for Gameplay so I moved it.

He takes up his bow and aims for the monster with the orb. He says to the other archers near him, "The monster with the blue orb bring him down." His guard echoes his words.

He quickly replies, "Lykan, do you have a flare or something to give me directional awareness to your location? If not I have some alchemist fire which could help."

As the monster with the blue orb gets within range a volley of arrows is shot upon him. Though these creatures are well trained. They move slower as well with their heavy hide armor. A wall of shields rise up to cover the rest of the force. The creature holding the blue orb is easily two if not three times larger than the others and spreads his arms wide encouraging the rain of arrows to hit his flesh. Most of them deflect and he continues charging forward.

He takes easily five volleys of arrows before within 100 feet of the gate. The ballistas and catapults continue to fire into the horde of monsters.

Now closer you see that the creature with the blue orb seems to almost have a glow of light coming from her handsome form. She wears a scant bit of leather to hold her boobs in place and cover her waist.

As the monster continues its a approach Quince casts Entangle to slow its progress.

Hoping to simply slow the creature for more arrows to hit it. Quince casts Web Bolt to try to pin it down.

We haven't really been "in Rounds" so my intention is to use these to by the archers more time to hit the creature.

Sounds great, yeah we are doing broad strokes of what is happening and I am trying to give you something to respond too. Then we will get in rounds for the boss fight. I was hoping Lykan would respond so we could get him back to the wall. We will see.

The orb carrier is entangled and bolted down by webs. She is about 100 feet out from the wall. The horde of armored monstrous soldiers swarm around her and push forward. Much of the front line quaff a potion and continue forward.

The soldiers that were focusing on the fire walls and dont have the spell to concentrate on grab their bows and man the wall.

Those on the wall see that the wave of monstrous soldiers takes a hit on the north side and dozens of them drop within a couple rounds. As the rounds pass more and more the monstrous soldiers are dropped. It is about 700 feet from the wall. It is hard to see who is decimating the monstrous soldiers.

A pyramid falls from the heavens smashing into the rear ranks of the monstrous soldier wave. The door flies off its hinges and a tall white haired giant emerges. Then he transforms into a huge dire bear... every swipe of its paw makes a few of them fly.

Just need a handle here. Awhile ago several NPCs had a plan with a codename. Has that happened yet? Is that what Bearik has started? Jorne mentioned forces riding out to meet the enemy. Did that happen or are they still waiting the order? If they are still waiting the order Quince would give it now.


Omega protocol happened. You know it allows the high level powerhouses to advance and attack. Though they would not have any support until they got within reach of the wall at the very least. Saren on his dragon, Larina Loren on her hell hound, Jorne, and about a dozen adventurers moved out with that option. Most of them have retreated through the flames you believe that is the figures retuning.

You are sure Bearik tooks some preparations and deployed himself. Likely with a team buffing him from the pyramid.

Quince looks out at the scene before the walls he speaks to Jorne, "You wanted to ride out earlier. I think now is the time. Sounds like the leaders are hanging back. If we don't take some hurt to them this is going to last far longer."


Heading to the spot Lykan only has to go through one wall of fire.

Lykan:
After going through the fire wall you see Jorne slaughtering the monstrous soldiers around him. You see two more figures with Jorne, you belive it is Selena and the kingdom's master spy.

With Quince on the wall is Sulvanii, Elizabeth, and Kendryl. There are at least a dozen soldiers and a dozen guards as well. Most shoot bows in a volley towards the coming enemy or prepare with other possibilities.

The armored monstrous soldiers swarm forward, between their armor and shields they block most of the missiles. Anything else you want to throw at them before they get closer than 100 feet?


The monstrous soldiers charge forward, straight through the wall of fire. Some begin to try to climb up, most begin bashing on the gate.

Half of the climbers fall down from a rock or a missile lodged into them. The few that make it to the top get smashed by Quince and Elizabeth. Looking down you don't see much of the forces like they have disappeared.
