Yes, I suppose bringing you into the town would cause problems.

Olissara wrote:
"Physical proof will serve you better, Inga. There are abandoned catacombs miles from here that the Ulfen people have forgotten, yet we have used them rarely to hide away that which need not be found. Both Kolvi and the king’s corpse lie there. I removed the effigy, for it was no way to remember a warrior. If you wish to see them for yourself,” she trails off and looks to the ijiraq for a moment, “you could do so. I can provide you a token to see through the illusions that hide it. I warn you, though, we have not used it for several human generations, and those hills feel increasingly... troubled.”

This sounds like the best course of action. I do thank you for allowing us to travel in your domain. I will assure you that we will be respectful while we are here.

She says bowing her head. She then turns to address her companions.
When Rallas and I witness the haunting manifestation of Kolvi's trial and execution, I realized then that Kolvi must be properly buried in order to end the hauntings.

If we can return to Frostbreach with physical proof of Kolvi's innocence, and King Alvard's treachery, that it should end the feud between the two families. It should hopefully bring peace back to Frostbreach.

I am a bit worried, though, that the Coalbraids will not take the truth lightly.

"I took the king's remains away as well because I didn't want his corruption tainting the earth" Olisarra tells you.

"I don't know if what you plan will succeed. But if you come back from the hiding place, I will accompany you. Here, take my token."

Olisarra hands you a carved antler fragment, and directs you eastwards. Moss-on-South-Trees, the ijiraq, bucks its head and disappears into the forest.

"Fare you well, mortals. May we meet again soon." With that, Olisarra also retreats.
.
.
.
.
After around two hours travel the antler token begins glowing with a red light. As you approach a hill the token's light grows brighter. Once within about 50 feet, the token's magic melts the illusion veiling the hill, revealing a long, rocky outcropping with several smaller stone mounds inscribed with weathered petroglyphs. Worked stones partly seal a cave along the outcropping’s southern side, creating a formal entrance into the caverns beyond. All along the rock face jut pieces of bone or fossilised remains of some immense fanged creature, as though it were clinging to the cave.

@Minata: You got bit of luck! For one round you roll any D20 twice and take the better result. So please reroll your attack roll.

The Waking Rune

Grunajr can't recognise the specific type of undead that you face, but he sends Ryuunosuke into battle with the blessing of Desna. Alas, Desna does not smile on the yojimbo, his heavy blade glances off the icy enemy.

Klaus is there... somewhere... stalking.

Lucifer prefers not to engage hand to hand, but his bolt skitters off the wall, nowhere close to the undead monsters.

Inga moves forward down the cavern passage about a dozen paces while unhooking her crossbow from her belt. The light from her wayfinder illuminates one of the skeletal creatures as she approaches. Her amethyst ioun stone begins orbiting around her head faster and pulsates with a dim violet light.
She tries to recall any knowledge of these creatures that she may have learned in the past,
Know: Religion: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 9 + 2 = 16,
and calls out any information to her companions.

She extracts a bolt from her quiver and daintily slides it into the crossbow's slot while scowling at the skeletal menace.

Noticing Rallas' amazing sword strikes, she raises an eyebrow in approval.

The Waking Rune

Rallas I don't see Quick Draw or anything similar on your sheet, so you're limited to one attack when you change weapons. However, you do confirm a crit and...

Rallas' elven sword cuts the frozen undead in two! Only one remains. It emits a low groan.

Inga doesn't know what the undead is, but she knows Rallas can handle a blade.

Well, it's undead and skeletal.
She calls out as she shrugs.
I have never seen or heard of these things before. Let's just do our best to destroy them.
Fragments of bone roll near her feet after Rallas cuts one down.
Well done, boys!
She winks in the direction of Rallas, Myth, Lucifer, and Ryu.

Wow, nice crit!

Hm... after cutting this one down, Rallas might want to step up 5 ft to provide flanking, maybe?

Having failed to strike Rallas with its initial assault, the undead turns to a new opponenet: Ryunnosuke.
