Oh I am so happy Jessibel might be going full on Magpie! Raven/Magpie is just too awesome a dynamic duo to not seize the opportunity.
Ahhh, the woes of choosing between combat viability and rollplaying... That's something 2nd edition does really well IMO, putting mostly-in-combat feats at even levels and mostly-out-of-combat feats at odd levels.

I think the Raven will make his way back to the ladies by the time they have finished speaking to the shopkeeper, unless our lovely GM has something else planned for him.

Nope! You're all good to reunite.
Kintargo GM
Man, poor Raven. Scolded by most of his partners.

Vantine is only scolding him because it must be done. Really though saucy is sexy.
Yes, Asiling's high Sense Motive has her with the distincet feeling that she's the only one being really sincere here ;)

Poor Aisling. Vantine is trying! She sounds serious! Maybe Raven won't look at her face...
If it helps, I have to be the responsible one in a different game. I understand the burden you bear.

If you're all ready, I'll move us along later today. I'm assuming you're headed to Jessibel's flat?
Kintargo GM
You may want to invest in some rope, if you're going to incapacitate the guards in the second building. Or somehow bar the door, perhaps. Unless you want to go coup-de-grace them, which would probably be pragmatic. Also, it'd stop them from continuing to abuse prisoners there... but it would also start whoever does it towards evil, which, y'know, is a thing.
In any case, just checking in to let you all know that I'm still here, but don't want to interrupt the IC discussions (not that there're any NPCs to do so... probably).
Vantine Roubanis
In regular game language what Vantine is suggesting is using a casting or two of Ears of the City to try to get information on the guard rotation schedule, what the dwarf does all day, who they tend to let into the place, and so forth. The spells might turn someghing up, or might not. But it would delay things a day. It's really up to y'all whether or not you want to wait that long, I'm fine either way.
Vantine can potentially ramp up the DC of her Charm hex to 20. She'll probably not be able to get it all the way up to 20 in this particular context. But an 18 or 19 should be achievable. Keep in mind hexes do not use spell components so there are no obvious signs it's being used. Now that she also has the Cackle hex, she can prolong the duration of Charm as long as she needs to barring unusual circumstances like a silence spell or something. She can also hex multiple people, it just has to be done one person per use, so she can't catch them all at once like a sleep spell does.
Kintargo GM
Clever, clever. Honestly, I was expecting a commando assault/infiltration, but I approve of the utilization of underrated mechanics!
Kintargo GM
Everything going alright with everyone? It's not a big deal to miss a day here or there, but I do like to check in with you guys.
Jessibel L. Aulamaxa
No creativity today (Maybe cuz I skipped coffee this morning?), and lots of TV & pizza planned for tonight.
I'll push the action tomorrow if necessary.
Kintargo GM
I was going to suggest chastise as a potential tool to get your way in this circumstance, but then I discovered only Jessi could possibly use it, but she doesn't know it. Alas.
Nevertheless, it's probably a useful spell in general for this AP, so you may want to look into getting a scroll or something, Jessi.
Aisling Talbot
IT does!
GM K, I do't see any problem with us continuing our conversation while we explore the sweres, if you're bored and want to throw some more trouble at us :)
Kintargo GM
When you start exploring the sewers, I do have an idea as to what you might find down there...
Vantine Roubanis
Yeah, we can split screen things and have the conversation along with the sewer check. That way Vantine and The Raven don't become too tiresome.
Also, anyone have any ideas for an inexpensive but thoughtful gift for the Asmodean in one's life?
I assume we'll not be taking the extra time for the Ears of the City castings?
Jessibel L. Aulamaxa
Sewer? Sure!
@Vantine: Your call on ears of the city. No idea what to get an Asmodean.
Aisling Talbot
I think the EArs of the city is a nice idea. We're not on a deadline as far as I can tell so Aisiling is defintely in favour of taking time to do this right!
The Raven
Sorry for the delay. My phone wasn't on the charger right so it died so my alarm didn't go off so I been running like mad to catch up lol.
I like continuing interactions primarily between two players in spoilers as the rest of the story progresses so the rest of the party doesn't have to sit around waiting for two PC's to finish their "date" but we don't lose out on character development. As long as no one gets confused it's the best of both worlds.
And I'm all for Vantine's plan. It sounds good to me.

I actually have Easter plans this year, so I might only post late in the day.
Happy Easter to all!
Kintargo GM
Haha. I'm sure that it'll be fineee.
Kintargo GM
Has anyone seen/heard from Aisling? It's been awhile since she last posted.

Wow--you've really got your finger on the pulse of this game! I did some investigating and it looks like Sarah's last posts in many of her forum games was on Monday, so about three days ago. Maybe she's in a busy stretch at work or got sick. Hope it's nothing too serious.
For the Others: We've hit an intersection if folks want to try an ambush. Jessibel still thinks you're trying to scare her, though. ;P
Vantine Roubanis
No reason to give up hope just yet. Unexpected things come up, especially when there's a stoppage across all campaigns it's usually a RL thing keeping them away for a bit.
Kintargo GM
Plus, it was Easter last Saturday? Sunday? I don't know, I'm not Christian, but I know some folks take time off at that time.
Kintargo GM
I'm going to move us on tomorrow. I'll also reach out to Aisling, see if she's still doing alright.
The Raven
SOrry, the week after easter got away from me a bit. Thanks for your concrnern, I'm still around. Posting now!

OK, do we want to keep going with teh original plan and get the gbolins to show us the way to the salt works? Or do we go on a side quest to find out what the helnkinghts (or whoever) is doing down in the swewers?
Kintargo GM
To be open: these are the dottari, and they're patrolling - though the goblins don't know that word.
Aisling Talbot
Thanks for that. Is it clear from what the goblins have said whether theyir patrols would come into contact with us if we used the swewers as a getaway route from the salt wroks?
Kintargo GM
Not exactly - but from what you can tell, the Saltworks are in an area the goblins don't avoid, while they have mentioned running away from the dottari. So it's a reasonable assumption that there won't be many, if any, dottari patrols in that area.

Sorry for taking so long to post. I got my 1st covid-19 shot and it put me down and out for a couple of days.
Vantine Roubanis
LG has a reputation for not having a sense of humour so I'm tyring to play away from that. Let me knoe if I cross a line :)
Not at all. I've been watching Search Party and Aisling's humor kind of reminds me of Alia Shawkat (especially) and her friends' banter in it. It's kinda blunt and harsh, but also sly and very funny. In my head Aisling sounds a lot like Alia Shawkat in the first minute or so of this video, before the song starts.

Oops, missed this. Not to worry, these things happen. Glad you got your shot, though!

Thanks for the compliment, and the link. I haven't heard of Searach Party but I will take a look at it :)

Search Party is a pitch black comedy covered in heaping spoonfuls of existential dread. Enjoy! Oh, it's on HBO.
