Jessibel L. Aulamaxa
Nope! But I'm almost certainly going to end up taking a rank in Disguise and a potion of invisibility!
Vantine Roubanis
Oh! Sorry! I could have sworn I'd posted for this. The point goes to Knowledge Planes, and the Potion is Lesser Restoration.
Kintargo GM
If Jessibel and Nyxra don't add anything within a few hours, I'll move you all onwards.
Vantine Roubanis
I'm going to advocate again for the idea of splitting up the Scarlet Roses and moving them singly or in maybe three small groups at different times to make them stand out less. If done during busy, crowded times on the bridge (morning and/or evening commute times?) there should be less time for the toll collector/guards to give people individual scrutiny. The armor can be moved separately at a different time. They won't need it immediately.
Kintargo GM
Just note that unless you tell them where the Longroads Coffeehouse is, and the Wasp's Nest therefrom, you'll want a Raven in every group crossing over - otherwise you might have someone going back and forth looking like they might be escorting someone.
Jessibel L. Aulamaxa
The bridge might be closely watched after the breakout (along with the city gates). Maybe the Scarlet Rose should sit tight at Jessi's flat for a few days.
The Raven's idea of going out into the streets to gage the reaction to the breakout might not be a bad idea.
Kintargo GM
So, uh, remember how Laria mentioned that no one would really miss the mercenaries at the Saltworks? :P
Kintargo GM
Good to hear. Everyone else still around?
Kintargo GM
I'll give Nyxra a chance to post, but I'll move you on later today.
Kintargo GM
Disabled: When some of a team’s members are compromised through injury, morale, sickness, or other effects, the team becomes disabled. A disabled team cannot be used for rebellion actions. A disabled team can be restored to full functionality at the start of the Upkeep phase by spending an amount of gold equal to the rebellion’s current minimum treasury value. (At the GM’s discretion, other specific actions taken by the PCs over and above their daily duties might be able to restore a disabled team as well.)
Just so we know what that is.
EDIT Did anyone want to be the manager for the Scarlet Rose ladies?
Kintargo GM
Huh. Apparently the AP says that the Wasp's Nest water is from storm drains, not sewers. Makes more sense in terms of quality of life, at least. Ah, well.
Also, gonna ask again, 'cause I know folks've been busy: Who's gonna be the Scarlet Rose's manager?
Vantine Roubanis
Vantine could manage the Scarlet Roses since she seems to like them better than anyone else. But I think Vantine is already managing some merchants? Of course she could do both if it's allowed. She's sure managing rebel teams can't be any more difficult than managing a wardrobe.
Kintargo GM
To be transparent, moving the statue's going to be a long-term project. Like, it's heavy. I'm not wholly sure why you guys are trying to do it, but if you want to, it'll probably be something to accomplish in the long term.
If Vantine wants to consecrate/dedicate the shrine, it may be worth looking into how and why it was placed in a reservoir in the first place.
Kintargo GM
Does Vantine want the golden Calistrian holy symbol? And would Jessi like the whip? Otherwise, I can add the latter to the selling fodder list. I will note that whips aren't as useless as I once thought they were, what with the option of using Combat Maneuvers from a range where they can't AoO you.
Jessibel L. Aulamaxa
Belatedly added the rumor heard by the Raven while out gaging reaction to the jailbreak (Murdered Tieflings in the Nursery) to the Rumor List.
While it might be fun to see how dangerous Jessibel could be to friend and foe alike with a whip, we could probably use the cash more. I say sell it.
Vantine Roubanis
As much as Vantine would like to keep the holy symbol, she can't risk carrying it around and the group could use the money. Regrettably it should be sold.
Kintargo GM

Ah, crap, I meant to put that down on the list when I wrote it up for you guys, but totally blanked.
As for the equipment, that sounds reasonable to me.
Kintargo GM
I suppose we should actively look for a saboteur since it would seem to be someone from the outside. I've no good ideas how to do it though. a round the clock watch?
You can also look for other signs that the saboteur might have left behind, see if you can get a clue as to their identity.
Kintargo GM
Just waiting on Nyxra and Aisling - if they don't reply today, I'm going to reach out to them via PM, and move on.
Aisling Talbot
Sorry, thanks for the PM. I'm still here - a combination of long hours in the lab and not having much to say means I haven't posted. But i'm still around :)
Kintargo GM
Gotcha. Glad you're not vanishing on us. :)
Kintargo GM
Remember folks, this is the same day as the great rescue - you haven't had the chance to rest and recover spells, etc.
If Aisling doesn't post within an hour or so, I'll bot her for the first round.
Also, this may be one of the hardest fights you'll have faced thus far - probably harder even than the croc.
Kintargo GM
I'm just going to note that no one on your side has rolled any double-digits in this combat yet...
Kintargo GM
Sorry! YOu go into combat and of course that's when work hits me hard. I'm aroudn now. Magic weapons would be my go-to I'm fine with that :)
Yeah, I remember when I bolted you last time, that was your spell of choice.
The Raven
I dunno where they went on the Raven's character sheet, but he does have acid flasks. Might come in handy I dunno.
Aisling Talbot
Maybe 5-foot-step out of the swarm radius...
Ha, yes thanks - I've been playing too many games without maps recently! :)
Kintargo GM
To answer your questions with regards to the channeling - yes, this is the same day as your rescue, and you used a couple then.

1 person marked this as a favorite.
Just so everyone knows: I am recruiting for a third game. This may mean I will be slightly less active than prior. I do not believe it will be significant, and if it is, I apologize in advance, and would adjust the expected posting rate accordingly. That said, I don't think it will overly impact us.
Kintargo GM
Remember, you can use Perception to try to find an invisible foe. As she is muttering, she doesn't even get the bonus +20 to stealth that invisibility would grant her - which is what makes it possible to find her.
Aisling Talbot
@Vantine - unless your spell is harmful and/or the situation is really serious, don't worry about AoE stuff. Being melee means it's bound to happen occasionally, and there's some comic effecct to be mined from it :)
(Just don't expect Asiling to quite see the funny side though :P)
Vantine Roubanis
Doesn't do me any good to know, although Vantine did well on the perception check. I can cast Sleep without an exact location but it's a 20' AoE and that would mean Aisling would take up 2 of the 4 HD it affects. If the imp has more than 2 HD, Aisling is 1st affected and nothing happens to the imp. If it has only 2 the imp is affected as well. I can't experiment to see and wake Aisling up because I only have 1 casting left.
I could use Daze with the imp located but it doesn't get us anything significant and I wouldn't be able to use it again on the imp for 1 minute.
Vantine can't do anything but wait and keep the hex going in case an opportunity comes along later.
Kintargo GM
Daze also only works on humanoids. Something Vantine would know. (We had the same thing about the croc earlier in the game.)
Sorry if this is frustrating - I'm figuring out how to deal with her, too. She keeps screwing up the summoning, which would give you guys more to do, and let her be more vulnerable, too. I figure she's going to change tactics momentarily.
