Jarithe looks over at the table cross the way and gives the new fellow who looks like a wizard a wave over to his table with his other hand a wave to bring the waitress another mead for me and what ever my new associate would like to drink as well.

Masin would sure like to know things about that mage.
I meant Ruckleer in building 18 in town.
In a center table, a very tidy Cheliaxian man eats his lunch, noting everyone in the tavern. He faces the door and eats his food slowly as if it's precious. He notices the man asking for more mead and tries to measure him if he's going to cause trouble. He is more tense than usual.
Mazer Afin
Mazer decides to stay at the Last Stand Tavern, no desire to stay at the luxurious Arch and Lark. After a day or two wandering town, he's back at the inn.
The dwarf stands out with ghostly white skin that is heavily scarred, a light blond hair, a tangled beard, and piercing red eyes. He approaches the bartender and asks for a drink. He takes a quick glance around the room and catches the eye of a tidy man with an air of competence about him. Mazer's eyes narrow and starts staring at the man.

Masin is definitively bothered by the staring dwarf. Feeling threatened at the same time as safe for his citizen status, he walks over to him by the counter and says "Good day, master dwarf. Is there something with which I can help you?" His tone is non-threatening, but he speaks quickly enough to be interpreted as dry.
Mazer Afin
Mazer looks up and down the man who comes up to him. "You will do just fine. Mazer here.". The dwarf holds out a hand. "I have a feeling we will be working close together. What do you know about House Thrune?"

Masin looks at the dwarf suspiciously and says "I know it is an honorable House and the rightful ruler of Cheliax. What do you mean I will do fine? Who are you?" He is worried but intrigued at the same time. Maybe this dwarf has work for him? Knowing there are dissidents in Longacre, Masin rests his hand on the hilt of one of his daggers which is visible.
Mazer Afin
"Now now. Put that dagger away.". Mazer waves away any worries. "I'm just looking for capable individuals to help me with a quest of sort. You look more than capable of helping.". Mazer looks Masin up and down one last time then stands up from his bar stool.
"I have someone I'd like you to meet. Are you free now?". Mazer will take Masin to Cimri if he is willing to join.

Without removing his hand from the dagger's hilt, Masin says "Yes, I am just finishing my lunch, if you can wait a few moments." He waits for the dwarf to agree and returns to his table to finish his meal. He gets up and accompanies the dwarf, making sure to not turn his back to ambushes.

Mazer will let Masin finish his lunch before taking him to see Cimri about working with her.
Perhaps he stops at the other tavern to meet Dexter, Jarithe, and Aramant?
Ready to officially start! Do you need anything else from us?

oh you know, parents got tired of me, I got tired of not having enough coin and the disapproval of my cavorting with lower ladies and not settling down. So just out and about looking to see what I can find. Name is Jarithe, and you? Jarithe says with a smile and a sip of the house wine.

Oh no! I'm so sorry. Masin would tell you be organized and always keep stuff backed up (and in the cloud if you don't mind using a company's computer to store your stuff).

Gladly Masin isn't the violent type, so he won't be bashing random heads in Longacre. I guess he is becoming colder and more cautious.

I was supposed to move overseas a week ago, but Covid induced travel restrictions got my flight suspended. Now I'm in a limbo waiting for the restrictions to be lifted so I can start my new job overseas, but at the same time unemployed in my home country since I got rid of all commitments here. It's given me some time to work on a few side projects, but the uncertainty is unpleasant, really.
