"Oh, Fen," Farzin smiles warmly at the oracle. "You speak to people who aren't there, yet ask me what is real?"
He chuckles. "That was a good troll though..."
"And to think, I didn't believe these ley lines were real either. So, what do I know?"
He thanks Chulyin for the healing as well, relieved to have survived yet another adventure.

"I believe the danger is in restoring the flows of power to the abandoned and not yet understood apparatuses," Chulyin hypothesizes. "If we had made the connection between the clay dog and the clay warrior, we might have dismantled the statue before restoring the flow of energy."

As you banter, the energies swirling around Kukuha coalesce into an iridescent vortex, then burst outward — another boom, but gently somehow. Globes of luminescence linger in the air for a brief moment, then fade. The kodama in the trees watch, fascinated, The griffon wheels in the air with her children, playing among the clouds.
The earth grows still, and the clearing is quiet, cast in the light of the setting sun. Kukuha gets to her feet, casually dusting the dirt from her robes. “It is done. Now that the island’s ley lines have been restored, Kayajima’s magic will protect this site for years to come.” She looks at Farzin and adjusts her ceremonial hat. ”The Ley-Lines didn’t betray us. This was a good lesson, that when responsibilities are abandoned, the balance is upset — sometimes, to the ruin of all.”
“ I do believe the Society will find this location most appropriate for a new lodge. I’ll send word to Fola Barun to inform her of the outcome. I can’t thank you enough for your actions today. I will stay here for a while longer—it seems this island still holds countless secrets. I wish to study them before I depart. Any of you may stay with me if you wish. “
”Safe travels to you who leave, Pathfinders, whatever destination is next for you. I do hope our paths cross again, fates willing.”
You look down to the shore; the sunset gleams on the water like sparks from a flint. A dragon-tail slips under the waves as an old man ties his wasen boat to the old pier. Masuhei is down there, ready to treat you to some fresh oyster soup in exchange for whatever tales you have to tell.

"Yes. I think I will stay a while," Chulyin says. "There is much for a Cascade Bearer to study on this island."

Sallis hesitates, then says "Think I will make my way back. I am curious about the ley lines, but there are other tasks I wish to deal with first."
"Hopefully we will have a chance to work together again sometime."
Turning to Kukuha, he says "I do hope they publish whatever you find out about these ley lines, and the people who originally built these buildings."

Farzin considers Kukuha's invitation.
"It is a beautiful island, and there is much to explore among all of the wild places." Farzin smiles. "What do you say, Papayo, shall we stay a little longer?"
"Sure, boss."
Farzin's smile broadens.
"Oh, you silly bird, you couldn't last one more day out here. What're you thinking? We had best get you back to civilization before your supply of mochi runs out."
Papayo stretches his wings and squawks in agreement.
Thanks all for another fun adventure!

Fen looks around at the natural beauty of the island, feeling her connection to her ancestors and to Tsukiyo stronger than ever.
She bids her companions farewell as they depart, and bows to Kukuha and Chulyin.
"I find this place strangely appealing. I will stay too. The only question is, will I ever leave?"
She makes money busking for visiting Pathfinders over the following week, playing her flute at mealtimes and graciously accepting their thanks.
