This game is pretty unforgiving if your enemies have more attacks than you... I think combination of poor rolls (great rolls on my part) and spreading damage made this difficult...
Thankfully, you all got the plates in quickly, or this would have been a run for your lives situation...
I am rooting for you guys!

We've rolled a lot of 1s in contrast to your 20s!
Still, it should be alright as long as Emmett doesn't die

It's a game. It adds drama! I don't mind at all and I think the real threat of deth brings something to the fun of the game. At least on my end.

He has, with many grand grand children!

I'm feeling a turn, there's gotta be a good roll coming! Unfortunately someone else needs to help Emmett...!!!!

On the map, Mir seems quite far to be able to move and cure...

Yeah, I addressed that. I was pretty sure that was his aim, and was thinking about that last night. I was just waiting for confirmation. I am pretty sure that he wasn't looking at the map. If he had known, I am sure he would have moved after dropping Pinky.

Haha, not quite a year. More like 5 months, but still a good chunk for a 4 hour adventure. ;)

Some of us have been, but Mир, Emmett, and Baldrick joined us for this module, didn't they?
Though, to be honest, I have know Dreaming (Emmett) and Donnell (Baldrick) for a little while now...
But yeah, it has been over a year since we were back playing Gio and the crew!

Don’t forget, Mir is Sasha, we played in the first adventure I ever ran with you Aesh.

Aw geez! I think this whole 5e AL group are all people I have played with for some time now!

Yeah, we started this little adventure in October with Greycastle (Khitt), but I met Aeshuura in another short AL game a year before that playing a twitchy Tempest cleric :)

Apologies, yes. I had intended to move after braining the zombie and didn't realize I hadn't until you mentioned that I couldn't reach and I was like "I can totally reach, that was part of my....ohhhh!"

I know it is a little early, but I am looking at running the Epic (DDEP 10-01: Terror in Ten Towns). On the Discord server, it seems to indicate that it is available to run for a single table. Are you all interested?
Description: As a beastly army approaches Ten-Towns from the south, heroes take the lead in fortifications and defense. But can the heroes’ optimistic hard work overcome the worst enemy—the towns’ distrust of one another?
| Baldrick Longhall |
Sure!
This is another Tier 1, right? So probably best to bring along a different character. Either way, I'm game.
| Emmett Escheus |
I’m not sure yet.
Aeshuura
|
It is a tier 1, and Season 10, so if you aren't playing these characters, it will have to be a new Season 10 character. (They aren't interchangeable anymore...)
| Baldrick Longhall |
I'm happy to keep playing Baldrick, but it depends how you feel about characters higher than 1st level (Tier 1 is up to 4th, right?)
Aeshuura

Correct. The module is APL 3, so it's all good! There is also the level issue with the current module.
So with DDAL 10-00 (the one that we are playing now), it used to be where every two missions would gain you a level, so you could level twice in the module. However, Wizards changed it so that it is only supposed to give you 1 level advancement. When I asked them if they would be able to update the module itself, to remove confusion, I was told by the Admins that it is in the works, but that was almost a month ago with still no change.
And so, I will leave it up to you all. You may level an additional time if you want, however it will rob you of some potential gold in the end, because instead of 80 gp per level, you would be getting only 40 gp for level 1 -> 2 and 40 gp for lvl 2 -> 3.
Because Wizards feels like there is no real importance in updating things promptly, I am fine with letting it go either way. It will just be up to you all. Anyway, this will be something to address after the conclusion.

Before what? You have already leveled once this adventure. If you choose to take the second level it would be at the end of the adventure.

I’ll level for the Epic. So 3rd would be great. I’ll be honest, I hate first and second level lol.
Aeshuura
|
Understandable. I feel like the fact that Wizards has not fast-tracked the update (which is easy enough to do), they don't care enough for it to be an issue.
Aeshuura
|
To be fair, their Admins for AL are amazing, but since Wizards has yanked power back to Chris Lindsay, the support has been pretty disappointing. I know that CoVid hit and all, and I cut them a lot of slack for that, but some things are just frustrating.

I hear that they are supposed to be putting more product out in the coming year.
So, the Discord server has a survey to help give feedback about the League. In there, there are some interesting things. They ask for input on what other Setting campaigns we would like to see, and I was intrigued to see Birthright on the list. Knights and whatnot has me very excited, though just seeing the general conversation, there wasn't a lot of interest for it.
If you all want to give your input, it is here:
| Baldrick Longhall |
Interesting!
We played Birthright a few times back in the 90s and I remember it being a lot of fun. I'm not sure how they make that work in AL, but it should be interesting

I figure with the new Gawain and the Green Knight movie coming out, they might capitalize...

There were a few magic items, right? How do they work this season?
Aeshuura
|
All of them are Common Magic Items, so each can only be claimed by one person each, but they do not count toward your Magic Item limit.
Boots of False Tracks
Wondrous item, common
These comfortable, fur-lined boots are embroidered with gaudy, but worthless, gems.
Only humanoids can wear these boots. While wearing the boots, you can choose to have them leave tracks like those of another kind of humanoid of your size.
Xanathar’s Guide to Everything, p. 136
Ersatz Eye
Wondrous item, common (requires attunement)
This particular eye was recovered from an ancient orc burial site and it appears oversized and orcish while embedded in your eye socket.
This artificial eye replaces a real one that was lost or removed. While the ersatz eye is embedded in your eye socket, it can’t be removed by anyone other than you, and you can see through the tiny orb as though it were a normal eye.
While you’re attuned to the ersatz eye, you can read and understand, but not speak Orc.
Xanathar’s Guide to Everything, p. 137
Smoldering Armor
Armor (studded leather), common
This leather armor smells of blood and gnoll sweat, and the stench can’t be removed.
Wisps of harmless, odorless smoke rise from this armor while it is worn.
Xanathar’s Guide to Everything, p. 139
Unbreakable Arrow
Weapon (arrow), common
Gifted to you by Shaktal of the Reghed Wolf Tribe, this arrow proves to Wolf Tribe members loyal to Aluka that the bearer is a friend and ally.
This arrow can’t be broken, except when it is within an antimagic field.
Xanathar’s Guide to Everything, p. 139
At the end of the last segment, there was also the following consumables that are also claimed by a single person and do not count toward Magic Item limits:
Potion of Poison Resistance
Potion, uncommon
When you drink this potion, you gain resistance to poison damage for 1 hour.
Oil of Slipperiness
Potion, uncommon
This sticky black unguent is thick and heavy in the container, but it flows quickly when poured. The oil can cover a Medium or smaller creature, along with the equipment it's wearing and carrying (one additional vial is required for each size category above Medium). Applying the oil takes 10 minutes. The affected creature then gains the effect of a freedom of movement spell for 8 hours.
Alternatively, the oil can be poured on the ground as an action, where it covers a 10-foot square, duplicating the effect of the grease spell in that area for 8 hours.

I can't remember what consumables we got from the first two scenarios... I think one was a healing potion that looked like an acorn, from the Reghed tribeswoman.
