The Bot Behind the Screen |
Vaal performs a scan and finds the AI to be inactive or defunct, however he finds signs of a few terminals in one of the sensor rooms that hasn't been fried. Lexicor brings the drake alongside and the starfinders board the Better Days. There is no opposition, and navigating the ship reveals that most of the systems have been scrambled. You make your way over to the few live computers and are able to identify the relay that the formian skull was in contact with. Additionally, you're able to salvage a few logs containing two distinct food orders relayed by the Better Days; one to Eox and one to Absalom Station.

Engineering: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27
Mysticism: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
"What an interesting amalgamate of technology and arcane!"
Plenty to unpack, Vaal Noor opens the spoilers
/Speaker for the Dead\ |
"Puzzling! This one feels no closer to solving the mystery than before."
Vecro |
Vecro makes sure that the device is packed and brought to their ship.
"Take the logs and any other data that you can and let us return back to review the discovered materials."
Raelis |
Raelis assists the others in retrieving logs and data for their return to the planet.
Computers: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Of course

Oops, I thought we had finished!
Computers: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
"Not my best work, I must admit - these tiny interface consoles definitely get in the way!"

Logs and equipment in hand, the party returns to the delegation to find the Meeting of Queens concluding. You are invited to rejoin the formian emissaries and lashunta delegation. Jontane shakes each of your hands "We offer you our deepest thanks for discovering the cause of this... violence."
Zusurra adds, "... and for dispatching it. And for keeping everyone's heads cool for the aftermath. This may have proven to be a catastrophic end to generations of peace."
Jontane motions toward the bound Felzhen. "We have agreed that as you are responsible for apprehending this terrorist, that we will defer to your judgement as to what to do with him."
You can tell that it's fairly obvious that both the Formians and the Lashunta would love the opportunity to deliver justice in their own ways.
/Speaker for the Dead\ |
"This one would recommend mercy. No irreparable harm was one, and Felzhen was likely influenced by others not yet revealed."
Vecro |

Vecro looks at Formians and Lashunta
"I would suggest assigning Felzhen jobs related to maintaining peace between Formians and Lashuntas. He could even begin his work aiding at the hive where the part of the skull was stolen. With a decent technological oversight, he could rebuild some of the damage that was done."
Vaal Noor |
"Felzhen not only participated in the vandalization of that historical formian hive, he also disrupted their ceremony! He's an enemy of the arts! Deliver him to the formian and let them give him their harshest punishments!"
Raelis |
"An excellent suggestion Vecro. I do wonder who it was that took advantage of his situation, such a predatory act, but it certainly doesn't excuse him from the choice he made. Let Felzhen's punishment also be a boon for your people."
Raelis nods approvingly at the Kasatha.

"This one would recommend mercy. No irreparable harm was one, and Felzhen was likely influenced by others not yet revealed."
Jontane and Zusurra exchange glances and Jontane shakes his head slowly. "Not... everyone survived the... manufactured violence."
The sign of several bodies covered in tarps in a closed off triage tent lends credence to this claim. It's pretty clear that his punishment will be significantly worse than forced labor.
Another of the Lashunta delegation bristles at the idea of the Formians taking possession of the terrorist. "He attempted to frame us... cause a war with us to blame... this is bigger than just those who fell here today. He should face Lashunta judgement for his crimes!"
Lexicor |
Lexicor nods.
Law and order are paramount to any functioning society. We cannot have chaos destroying the symbiotic relationship of the Formians and Lashuntas.

The formians accept possession of the prisoner, with sleight mutterings of disapproval from the Lashunta, then bid you farewell.
During your return journey, you receive a message from Celita informing you that the Lashunta envoy has expressed displeasure in the disposition of the prisoner and has resulted in delays in an information-sharing negotiation with Qabarat University, though she also acknowledges that you likely made the correct decision.
Upon return to Absalom Station however, you discover a vidcast featuring Zusurra and Professor Euiuyou on the Absalom Talks talk show. They discuss the historic opening of the Meeting of Queens to the lashunta delegation, and how the event further cemented the relationship between the formians and lashuntas. Both parties express a desire to thank the previously undisclosed sponsor of the delegation. The camera turns and reveals a female ysoki named Datch. She graciously thanks Zusurra and Euiuyou, but states that she is simply happy that she could be a small part of the ongoing peace process between the two peoples and that she “truly thanks the Starfinder Society for getting so involved.”
