Sorry for the silence, I've been extremely busy the last few days.
"SOUNDS LIKE THERE'S SOMEONE HERE PUTTING THINGS BACK IN ORDER. THEY COULD PROBABLY USE A HAND."
Coop helps helps Aravash into what's left of the building.

GM Roxtar |

As Firas steps inside, he immediately notices four humans, bound and laying prone in the center of the room, with stacks of books forming a ring around them. There are several other individuals standing around this ring, a woman in robes, a man with the blazing sword and sun sigil of Iomedae, and three tieflings clad in leathers. One of the tieflings is berating the woman.
"You had best hurry yourself girl. There are so many other things we could be doing."

Firas al-Adil |

First things first, I use detect evil as a move action on the tiefling who is speaking, then on the woman he (she?) is addressing.

Clancy will walk just inside the doorway and say:
"I may spend much more time hunting then reading, but this seems a high price to pay for overdue books. Ye there, who bears the symbol of Iomedae, what goes on here?
Clancy will do sense motive on any response.

Cupradhal |

Coop opens his mouth, but decides better and snaps it shut. He does try to subtly interpose himself between the group and Aravash, in case things go pear shaped.

Scanning the tiefling (yellow), Firas picks up the negative vibe of evil emanating off of the man. Which is only further evidenced when he pulls a short sword and grabbing the woman (white). Everyone else seems to hop to their feet and make ready to fight with the four tied up still seeming to struggle against their bonds.

George is able to move about and heal those that are injured, including the librarian on the floor. The other (white) has a jagged gash on her abdomen, but is still on her feet.
She moves closer to Aravashnial, and reels back slightly once she takes notice of the bandages on his face. "What happened to you? When the others fled, I thought you had gone too?"
Aravash leans forward, closer to the woman, his voice becoming somewhat angry. "Fled? They would not flee at this incursion. The others of this city may not believe in what we can do, but we're not cowards that are driven out by these demons Fenna, how dare you say such things."
Fenna steps back. "But it's the truth! The hordes swept through the city and have razed most of it to the ground. Even the Wardstone has failed this time. With the Storm King leading the charge, and the fall of Terelendev, it's been overwhelming. And now, the vultures have decended and tried to pick off those that were fool enough to stay behind and try to preserve what was left." The librarian stares daggers at the tied up fighter.
"I am sorry for the bad news, and for whatever happened to you Aravashnial, but the Wardens are gone."
The elf drops to his knees and trembles slightly. "Damn. Damn DAMN DAMN!"
The librarian steps closer to the elf. "Listen, I know how much this place meant to you. Please, we're trying to put together as much as we can salvage and move it to a safer location, will you help us? Quednys was seen up by Saint Clydwell, if he's still alive, he could likely tend to your injuries."
Aravash pulls himself to his feet, leaning heavily on his staff. "I may be blinded, but you will have my aid Fenna." He then turns to his saviors. "And to you all, I owe much gratitude. Once this is all sorted out, perhaps we will meet again and I can find some way to repay you."

Horgus clears his throat, "Well then, shall we move on? My home is just a bit to the northeast of here." He points up towards the sky and the sun starting to get lower towards the horizon. "I'll bet it's not pleasant outdoors in the evenings. There's safe shelter for each of you if you'd like to stay."

Firas al-Adil |

To both Aravashnial and Lyon, "I am sorry to lose your company. You were invaluable in our victory down in those catacombs. I hope to see you again, and I hope that next time you will be able to see me." he chuckles as he pats the elf on the shoulder.
Turning to Horgus he notes the time and replies, "Good point, man! Time is of the essence, and Anevia has loved ones vulnerable at home. Quickly, let us all gather up what we can carry here and press on."

So as long as we don't spend any time there, we could drop him off and then press on to Anevia's without losing any significant time.
