Welcome my friends, please hop on over to the slides (in my header or at the top of the campaign) and fill in your information on pages one and two. I really need the stuff on page one soon, as it is information for gameplay. The page two stuff is for reporting purposes, so that can be done now or later. Rolls for dayjobs can come at any point during the session as well, just do them in the discussion thread and note the results on the slides.
Other than that, this is a discussion thread so... discuss things?

Ikari also. Once Itami joins us I will mark the previous game inactive.
Also I've decided on the Buffering Cap. Crits kill Pathfinders, and the Cap is a lifesaver. I'll enchant the spear later, and carry a scroll or two of magic weapon.

I started typing this in my gameplay post, but it was a lot!
With the "fix it" rock, are we talking a mending, make whole, something else? Or is that for us to determine? To be clear, the VC is proposing that we literally clean up the place? If so, I think I will purchase a couple more make whole scrolls. If only I had the mending cantrip!
Tongues would be an awesome spell to have here, I'm willing to burn 2pp for a riffle scroll with two casts of it. Iirc, it would have to be the wizard version, but it could be cast by a bard/cleric/sorcerer as well. Would give us 50min/cast of communicating in Shoanti, which would probably go a long way with the Quah!
What knowledge would it be to learn more about Shoanti customs? At the least, I was thinking an appropriate gift/offering, but also maybe if there was something more specific pertaining to their culture about the appropriate process to make amends.
What a time to have a shrine maiden in the group, I hope that skill gets some use! :)

Definitely prepping an Enhanced Diplomacy spell, for sure. I’ll look at what other “make nice” type spells I can scrounge together.
What a time to have a shrine maiden in the group,
I was just thinking the same thing! Repair and maintenance of sacred sites is, like, Hiiragi’s job

It would be the knowledge local or diplomacy to gather more information check to get more info about the shoanti. I do not believe that any gifts (other than returning the stolen items) would grant any bonuses when you all attempt to sway the council.
Does any fox happen to have done #8–22: Wrath of the Fleshwarped Queen? I don't believe any have, but it is possible.

![]() |

I've played and run Fleshwarped Queen, but not with Ikari. I wondered if there was a link between the scenarios. (Fleshwarped Queen is a blast btw, play it if you haven't).
Ikari usually prepares Mending - he tries to be self sufficient and useful.

On a separate note, if we plan to keep these kits together, maybe we should plan out which scenarios so we know and can plan for that.
Unless this is just a casual thing. I mean, not to press. <<sheepishly>> I just thought we were having such a good time together. I get it if you're not looking for a commitment. I just thought we had...something special.

![]() |

Please do not waste a spot on Mending. I mean, you are more than welcome to, but I don't see casting that spell 50 times in my career. FIFTY! That's quite a bit actiually.

Fair enough! I've swapped it for Purify Food and Drink. Always in-character for a worshiper of a harvest goddess!
EDIT: Also worth noting, I picked up some cold iron and silver arrows. Not worth the hassle of putting them on my flail, but definitely worth having around.

Is the Pathfinder Chronicle something we can actually look at? :D I've always wanted to know what they look like!
Purchases:
2pp Tongues Riffle Scroll (2 casts)
300gp Make Whole Scrolls (2)

GM TOP |

The scenario only gives a short clip of it sadly. :(

![]() |

Kind of looks like, from the Chronicle, we may need to deal with some undead.
Thankfully, we have Hiiragi the Channel Smiting cleric with us :D
Considering swapping Protection from Evil for Funereal Weapon, Hide from Undead, or Positive Pulse, with that in mind. Thoughts?

GM TOP |

You are going to a disturbed tomb (if they let you), so that seems like a logical consideration.

![]() |

Positive Pulse looks a little underwhelming, given it has a Will save. Funereal weapon looks ok. Hide From Undead has been very effective for us before and is probably the best of that bunch.
We could always grab a couple of scrolls.

![]() |

Main advantage to Positive Pulse is that it might deal damage but will definitely grant us advantages against Ghoul Fever or Zombie Plague or whatever gross nastiness wants to get thrown at us. If it wasn't dual-purpose, though... yeah, that's basically just a Channel that sucks.
Scrolls ain't a bad idea. I'll prep Hide from Undead either way.
EDIT: Funereal weapon strikes me as a good one to have when you:
-Have more spells to play with
-Are more likely to encounter undead with hard-to-bypass DR (ie. higher level)
-Have more invested in a single weapon (such as a +1 Flaming Greatsword with Weapon Focus, Weapon Specialization, and Power Attack, for example) and switching to a different weapon (like the club you picked up off the ground on the way) is going to cut down on your combat efficiency by a good amount just in an attempt to bypass DR10/bludgeoning

![]() |

It may also be prudent to consider some Energy Resistance (electricity & fire) and Water Breathing.
Adding blunt arrows and upgraded my long spear to Masterwork (Cold Iron).

![]() |

"lightning dogs", moving water (elemental?) and skeletal undead. Hmmm. I'm down to 66gp and don't own the source for funereal weapon. If we meet skeletons I think I'm just going to try to enlarge and whack 'em. I'll try to have a Bulls Strength up for fights with DR/bludgeoning in play.

![]() |

Even if this was a Thassilonian ruin, this guy's methods were horrific!
Ikari, how come you don't just carry around a club or something?

![]() |

Now that you ask, I recall that I didn't bother previously because I have bite attack ;)
But also my Adopted Weapon Training boon imposes a -1 penalty on any weapon attack that is neither a natural attack nor a weapon from my adopted culture (elven).

Long long long weekend for me. I have a good reply to all the IC stuff from the V.C. rattling around in my head and then we'll get the next scene que'd up. Unfortunately that won't get posted for about 12-14 hours as my body says... sleep or I'll make you sleep. See you all tomorrow.

Posted.
This is actually an interesting briefing. I have no clue why it was done the way it was done (my explanation in game is just a wild guess), but the question and answer section specifically had two important details and clearly stated 'if they don't ask about this, tell them before they leave'. It's weird, I've never seen one set up like that.

![]() |

I‘ve seen similar before—there’s a bit in Consortium Compact where if they ask a question, you give them a handout, and if they don’t ask the question, the NPC raises the point herself.
I think the idea is that it allows PCs to feel like smooth operators if they remember to ask, but to make sure they don’t leave without the information otherwise.

GM TOP |

Probably.
But instead I managed to make the V.C. piss off 40% of the party. Huzzah! :P

To be fair though GM, that 40% are named "Pain" and "Anger" :0

![]() |

I had no idea y’all were named that and only just recently looked up “Sionnach” (turns out it means “fox”)!
I just named Hiiragi after a Kitsune shrine maiden from my favorite anime :D

Why, are you saying Hiiragi has a reason to know more about Onna’s last name? ;)
ANYWAY I looked it up and: BRILLIANT
I also looked up Ikari’s and: EDGY BUT COOL

![]() |

Apparently "Ikari Hateshinai" also translates as "Don't leave" :p
Not what I was going for ;)

I picked Kenta as it was a name that meant "Healthy, Strong, Thick, Big." Now that I see it, the "Thick" definition definitely applies. :D

![]() |

Nice!
I did a little research and Hiiragi/柊 means “holly” (or a similar plant)
Might have been better for a druid, but as the cleric of a naturey deity, it’s close enough!

![]() |

Toshiko means "alert child, child of many years, valued child" I think perhaps she is miss-named, lol

![]() |

I just added a slide to the maps/slides (hope that's ok GM, no disrespect!). When I ran Bid for Alabastrine, I used a similar slide to organize player efforts. I've modified it for our current situation, hopefully it helps!

GM TOP |

No worries, that works nicely. For anyone confused, there are a couple documents on the slides, pages one and two that might help clarify this encounter.
Edit: Also, excellent notes about Kemchet Flame Stoker.

Wow, I thought a 21 Diplomacy result might get me somewhere with Payah! I think I know what's going to impress her though, and will give that a try next round.
I reckon Survival is the go to skill check for the hunter, Togimal. Knowledges for Memory Tender? (History would make sense).
