Hello all, I have some scheduled time off starting tomorrow (kicking into gear tonight with prep) to help my wife out as we are expecting our next child. If things go as roughly planned, I'll be back after this weekend to continue gaming.

The final summary will have to wait, but you all can write up some entertaining shiz if you'd like.

Congratulations. I remember when we had our second child and had to change our defensive scheme from a 2 on 1 package to man-to-man coverage. We stopped adding players there so we wouldn't have to go with the zone defense and occasionally get burned deep.

Ikari believes in hard work. But he's also an angry fox. When he feels like he didn't work hard enough, like he's behaved as badly as the kitsune clan he was born into, he's angry at himself. He's probably his own worst critic. But it will, I hope, lead him to greater self-awareness as he brings the wrath of heaven* down upon the skulk's enemies in future.

*meaning the celestial realm of the divine Daikitsu of course. Sorry Kenta ;)

To a degree I'm lead by events, including the dice. After easily butchering the ogres, Ikari's performance went downhill. So he scolds himself for complacency and hubris, having thought himself a field commander already and then having none of his plans work out.

I need Dayjob rolls from Ikari and Toshiko (and do any re-rolls on those if you have them still and want to). Onna mentioned maybe using a re-roll, so if she has one left get'er done!

Chronicles!

Obviously only a couple are done (Hiiragi now and Itami soon), but as I get the day job updates I'll be able to quickly finish off the others. Though if we get to go in for my wife's induction, all that gets put on hold till free down the road.

You'll notice pretty quick some things missing. ALL of them that you guys missed were tied to the number of successes you all had during the council phase (five was the magic number). That includes the slight reduction of gold, the loss of the 2nd Prestige Point, the missing boon and the missing items.

Nah, I will sit on my previous roll. Don't want to take the chance it will be lower.

On an unrelated side note, I believe Ikari created a list of potential scenarios. What to you guys think the chances are of fishing for a GM so all six of us can play as a whole team? Granted, it would most likely be for a single scenario, but I think it would be fun to have the whole skulk together.

Does anyone have a boon that helps us to recover the PP loss? I have one from the survey a few years ago, but it only allows me to earn ONE (1) Prestige and Fame (up to the maximum available for the scenario).

The boon is called An Exchange of Secrets, and I will be using the 'Precious Vindication' reward.

After the Rez & Resto, I just can't afford to not pull in the max PP & Fame. Plus, it puts me at 18 Fame, allowing to buy a headband!

Kenta is also taking that GM star boon (spending the 1 PP on it cause he doesn't get a dayjob and I want to get it installed for the next session). It was up between him and another PC I have in a steady group and it is becoming more and more apparent that he needs the 1/session skill shot much more than my other PC.

The irony behind Onna's question is the scenario boon you all just barely missed out on actually does exactly that.

So, Looking over my character sheet and my feats, I realized that I brain farted all through that tomb. I totally forgot I took Lingering Performance. With up to 36 rounds, we could have been using Inspire COMPETENCE (+2) for some of the skill checks and still had plenty left over for any combat.

Grr..

Well, now we have up to 45 rounds of bardsong.

By the by, chronicle looks good {with the exception of all the cool stuff we missed}.

Hmm...Having Takabe join us means we would have seven players and still no GM. Right? Unless my math is off. Our 6th fox is Kenta/GM TOP. My hope was to get one {or more} game(s) where no one had to miss out on all the roll play fun.

Nah, Taka would be in as a player. So we’ll still need to find a GM!

Also, forgetting cool stuff your PC can do is 50% of tabletop gaming! (The other half is the bard seducing things, like dragons and shrine maidens...)

It would be spectacular if we could get another GM to run for us all (7 is legal iirc). But otherwise we'll need to have someone step up for our next session. I'm unable to run this round, new baby has the household a bit tired.

But on that front, baby and mom are happy and healthy. Older brother (2) is handling things well and wife and I got around 6 whole hours of sleep last night (broken into like four sessions, but still).

I'll have to pass on GM duties for now. I'm currently running two games as well as playing in a few more. After I finish my gameday GM table I should have capacity. But I am moving house and country (again) in a couple of weeks - and moving house again a couple of weeks after that. We're going to stay (I hope very briefly) with my parents whilst we complete purchase of our own place nearby. We'll be going with minimal stuff and buying new things for the new house.

Expect some disruption on my end over the next month or so.

I have now officially updated the group on PFS Sessiontracker with the expected seven foxes. If Takabe is still level 2 then we are limited to literally two scenarios.

10-10 The Shattered Shield (which I believe several of us HATE and don't want to play, one of them being me)

So... The Infernal Vault I guess? Obviously there are quite a few options that would open up if one or more of us burned replays.

I'd suggest skipping 10-07 since it's part two of a two-parter, and 10-10 because (allegedly) it sucks. Personally I am saving 9-15 for my Exchange tengu pirate - although Ikari is Exchange too, so I wouldn't mind using a replay and doing it twice.

Any of the others is fine for me :)

I'm down for whatever :) with the whole skulk on patrol, we are only really weak in knowledges, unless the 7th character does that one.

Between Onna and Taka, that should give us a solid fighting chance at IDing monsters and just generally Knowing Stuff.

Which is invaluable with both me and Kenta on the same team!

Not terribly long! A few hours, maybe. Had some trouble figuring out how to do the trim, but I think I found a way that worked.

I’m not familiar with either, so I’m happy to go with the group decision! As for subtler, I just hit level 4 and most of us are either 3 or 4 to my knowledge, so if there’s a 3-4 sub tier I’d prep for that!

3-06, 3-08, and 4-05 are on my list to prep and run at some point, wouldn't mind running them for you too.

I wasn’t expecting so much interest but I’m very happy to see it! I’ll let the others decide who our next GM is, but I will also beg the group to let Yours Is Mined be the one after that. Lady Vulpina has had some excellent experiences under their GMing :D

I’ll put my vote in for just doing first come first served (phaeton nz) since we have multiple applicants. I don’t think any of us expected this much interest!

Seriously, thank you all for the response. I have had the opportunity to play with many of the fine GMs who responded. In the sake of fairness, I agree with TOP to go with our first response (phaeton nz).

Okay, we have two votes to accept Phaeton_NZ's offer to GM our next session. We have two who appear to be abstaining. Is anyone opposed to Phaeton_NZ?

If concerned about public votes and whatnot, PM's are welcome. If no replies to the negative come in the next 24 hours, I'm going to call this part of the decision done.

Then most likely we will need to decide between The Infernal Vault and The Midnight Mauler. Kenta's vote (mine) is OBVIOUSLY going to be the Infernal Vault. But he's always happy to go where the society sends him so the other is fine too.

I'll go ahead and fourth a vote to reserve a game for YiM to GM in December. After that we'll probably send some PM's to the other GM's that expressed interest to see if they want to jump in for a run.

Infernal Vault sounds like Evil Outsiders? If so, Hiiragi's been itching to settle that score.

Phaeton sounds like a good plan :D first-come-first-served is the best way to do this sort of thing, generally!
