Hi all!

I'm keen for us all to try to post regularly (aim for once or more per weekday and, at least once on weekends). Whilst adventures can be caught in 'conversation loops' back and forth, I will endeavour to keep things kicking along and get the gist of where a conversation is going and keep us pointed in the right direction.

Work, study, and wild parties in Mexico have a way of getting in the way sometimes and if that is likely please leave a post in advance if you know that you may have limited time/ability to post for a period of time (and when we can expect you back).

On that note, I am posting from Sydney, Australia. Most of you will be posting when I am asleep so when I get up around 0500 odd I usually do the catch up over a coffee, and then usually in the afternoon/evening each day.

I will generally roll Initiative (and any other rolls if really required), but not to shaft anyone or railroad them, more in the interest of giving you some sort of outcome to then respond to - I aim to complete a single round of combat within 24 hours.

When in combat, unless a PC has left botting instructions or made arrangement for another player to bot them, I will place any PC that has not posted within the past 24 hours (48 hours on a weekend) on delay.

If a single skill check has been called for, I will accept the PC with the highest skill bonus as the "primary" and all other attempts by PCs for the same check as aiding another.

Absence warning - due to another outbreak of corona I was dragged back into work to do some rapid planning. I will be busy the next 24 hours so will post tomorrow night (late) when I get home.

Wow, I wish our government was taking this as seriously.

Then again, if you tried to shut down a border here, you'd have people armed with assault rifles protesting.

OK back to my usual programming (for now!).

Yeah I don't get what the go is with some people, we have a few people having a solid complain but I think at the end of the day most people 'get it' that the borders are going to shut for a reason, and no we really aren't interested in hearing a long conversation about it. Gun ownership in this country is actually fairly common it's just that carrying one around is exceedingly rare. As a result, we don't end up in the perpetual arms race colliding with an entrenched siege mentality so when situations get out of hand the consequences are pretty mild.

Does anyone actually have ranks in Survival?

I don't and have a relatively low Wisdom so it would probably be a bad idea for me to take the tracker.

I've got 2 ranks but no wisdom bonus and it's not class for an envoy ... anyone beat a +2?

Twich is +3 between +1 wisdom and +2 race. I've already rolled as aid, though.

Chuck the dice, let's see how it plays out.

July scenarios were 1-4 & 5-8, kinda ruining my plans as we mostly have 3-6 players. Added to this, the scenarios both kick off arcs.

I could otherwise wait for the August drops which have a very awesome sounding 1-4 which is right up my alley.

OK after much thought I am going to run the Frozen Ambitions arc (levels 1-4).

My intent is to run each of the scenarios in the arc (I'm guessing 6, but that is based on pure speculation) so I'm inviting my current players to what amounts to a 'mini-campaign' through season 3.

If there is a 'gap' I'll aim to fill it with an alternative 1-4.

I'm looking to get the Shimmerstone Gateway rolling this Sunday evening 23 Aug (my time) as that should allow people to close out their final encounters etc.

There are several vacancies so I will advertise to the world at large to fill the tables back out.

I'm wondering what the levels of that arc is so I don't accidenty level out

I really liked this scenario. It's another in the growing list of "you're not there to do what you think you're there to do" Starfinder missions.

Also, not my first one where someone has requested my character cover up some wrongdoing.

I've liked a lot of the recent scenarios. I like a bit of grit, and particularly a touch of horror. :)
