Thanks for the nice words.

I don't have anywhere to go that directly follows on from here, but I do have that GMing itch. So if you all want to pick up another adventure, I can see what I can find to flow into...

Elf Magus 4 HP 38/38 AC 20 Shield +2 F +8 R +12 W +9

I'd be happy to continue our adventure. Whenever you feel ready Nevynxxx.

male kobold (spellscale) wizard (universalist, alchemist) 4 | HP 34 | AC 20* | F+6 R+9 W+9 | Perc +7, darkvision | Stealth +9 | 25’ | spells 2 dispel magic, invisibility, scorching ray; spells 1 mage armor, magic missile, magic weapon | drain bonded item [1][2] | advanced alchemy: lesser blight bomb 6/6, minor elixir of life 2/2 | Active Conditions: mage armor

Elo still has a lot of cigars left in the box, so yeah, he's in. :)

Ok, I have a drirection. Ties quite nicely into what you've been delaing with so far too.

I'm conscious that the last adventure didn't give much obvious treasure. At level 4 you (as a party) should have equipment worth around 1,350GP including 2 level 6 and 2 level 5 permenant items (weapon, armour) and 2 each of level 6, 4, 4 consumable items (bombs etc).

So go on a spending spree and get your equipment up to snuff. I'm going to assume there's enough time to import anything that wouldn't be available around Etran's Folly.

You should each be worth about 340GP with ~80GP in coin.

Woot!!! I can fix that pesky AC...

Also might need to talk about a character edit for our last level up... still looking into it.

Okay Full Plate 30gp. Make it +1 and that's 190gp
Longsword (+1 Striking), that's another 100gp.

Leaves me 50gp until I hit 340gp.

I won't get the Str minimum on armour until level 5. I'm okay with that.

Will post in game tomorrow

The move to buy Devotion (multi class feats in effect) is not a good one. It does not feel like I get any bang for that buck. Correct me if I'm wrong... IF I buy Fighters Devotion, then I can buy fighter class feats?

Herolab tells me Elo's equipmentis worth 272gp and he has 1gp in cash.

So, adding the 68gp in cash to get his value to 340 is about right. Or I could add ~68gp in new spells to his spellbook (or use some of that for alchemical formulae).

Not sure I understand this. Do you have links to the feats you mean?

Ah! Ok. I'm following now.

So, you are already trained in Athletics. You are already proficient with Simplae (and martial, though I'm not sure where that has come from?) weapons.

So this doesn't give you a huge amount *in itself* just Acrobatics as trained. But it will give you access to fighter feats (via Basic Manouver) and a few other things....

Martial comes from the Warpriest cleric doctrine.

I was a BEAST with 1st PF character creation (and spent a VAST amount on herolab) :) My broad unfamilarity for 2e rules is a bugger. There are ways that could have been more effecient to get to a really 'fightery'(tm) cleric.

The Champion devotion at 4th would have saved me a general feat at level 2 for instance. I wasnt wearing heavy armor then.

I'll run with the cleric character as is but can't WAIT until level 5, a few stat bumps will help. It isnt a bad character and you learn best while doing. Given Wotc decisions of late, PF2 is probably gonna get a LOT more popular.

Ok, that makes sense.

Character building is soemthing I've *never* been good at. PF2 is just dissimilar enough to PF1 to make it a different beast. I think a I prefer it, but I'm no expert.

Elf Magus 4 HP 38/38 AC 20 Shield +2 F +8 R +12 W +9

I hope these items are acceptable. If not, let me know. Scorpion Whip +1 Striking = 100 gp Item lvl 4
Healing Potion (lesser) lvl 3 12 gp each x 4 =48 gp
Bracelet of Dashing lvl 3 58 gp
Sturdy Shield (Minor) 100 gp Bulk 1, Hardness 8, HP 64, BT 32. Item lvl 4
Spyglass Lvl 0 20 gp
326 gp in total. So 106 gp in liquid currency.

Is it just me or is AC kept relatively low and to hit bonuses high?

Full plate +1 is AC17...

Yeah, the death and dying mechanics along with the hero points I think are meant to make fights quite leathal. It's taking me some time to get used to.

In Plaguestone would there have been experts to learn a spell from, for some per day/hour/spell-level fee versus buying more scrolls?

Dark Archive

Wintergreen's CE PA IT Geek 10/Daddy 9/Physicist 3/Cartographer 1/Runner 3/Cub Scout Leader 2/Musician 1

You can assume that any spells you wanted to learn were in the many, many books you found in Vilree's various lairs, at least in so far as what you needed to get levelled up.

You had a few weeks downtime.

male kobold (spellscale) wizard (universalist, alchemist) 4 | HP 34 | AC 20* | F+6 R+9 W+9 | Perc +7, darkvision | Stealth +9 | 25’ | spells 2 dispel magic, invisibility, scorching ray; spells 1 mage armor, magic missile, magic weapon | drain bonded item [1][2] | advanced alchemy: lesser blight bomb 6/6, minor elixir of life 2/2 | Active Conditions: mage armor

what would you set learning fees at (say, per spell level)?

I think PFS sets it as something like half of the transcription cost (what's listed in the Learn a Spell page).

Spell costs

Go with that.

Elf Magus 4 HP 38/38 AC 20 Shield +2 F +8 R +12 W +9

I just realized Bwessara has 38 hp, not 30. Sorry for not catching the mistake sooner. Her whole line still reflected level 3, not 4.

I've added AC to the table on my post. I'm assuming you were all asleep without armour, so calculated your AC accordingly. Prone makes you flat footed, so also reduces your AC by 2.

Val, I had a play on herolab and levelled up your chracter. I think there's a few bits you've missed during levelling up that you may want to have a look at...

Notably, perception, AC, to hit, damage, and skills.....

Not forgotten or abandoned. Today is the US Monday so I figured any games slow down for that plus I had a court appointment today (ended well) and it's my oldest daughter's birthday. Between running around on both errands? Let's just say I didn't have a lot of bandwidth.
