Hello all,
Please make sure you put your sign up information into the spreadsheet HERE
If I do not have your information then I cannot send you a chronicle and more importantly I dont know what your challenge points are so cannot run the game. It also helps me see that people are actually intending to play.
Please do this asap as we are due to start in 3.5 hours.

GMAndrewW |

GM Andrew ... do you have room for 2 more players? We're both very active and will post every day (or more often) if the game moves quickly.
I have two players who have not checked in yet. I am going to give them until tomorrow morning my time to do so. if they havent by then you can have thei spots.

GMAndrewW |

This is a reminder to fill ut your character information on the spreadsheet. So far only three of the people signed up have done so. Dar and Gita, you need to fill it in so I can be clear what level everyone is.
Dar and Gita, you both also need to fill in your profile.
I currently have three other people asking for a space in the game. Please sort this out asap or I may end up replacing you!

I have three people very keen to play and so if I havent heard from you by tomorrow I will replace you.
The rest of us he'll just kill LOL Just kidding GMAndrew killed me in a PF1 game. :)

GMAndrewW |

OK, now that we have started properly lets check the challenge point situation. As far as I can see we have:
Harsk - Ranger 2 - 3 points
Beckett - Wizard 2 - 3 points
K'Anubis - Monk 2 - 3 points
Jeeves - Bard 3 - 4 points
Dar - Sorcerer 2 - 3 points
Gita - Cleric 1 - 2 points
That is 18 points, you will be low tier, just.
Dar and Gita, you still need to provide me with your chronicle information. Both of you also need to create a profile here with your stat block on it. Please see Jeeves for the sort of thing I am looking for.

GMAndrewW |

@Dar, I still havent had a substantive post in the Gameplay thread from you and you dont have a profile for your character. If I dont see these from you by tomorrow I will have to give your spot to one of the others waiting. You and Gita both also still need to fill out your details on my character info spreadsheet.

Players -
I'm begging you ... With these PbP games, everyone REALLY needs to be more active. Our GM is posting several times a day, but most of us are posting only once every 2-3 days.
If you can't commit to checking/posting at least once a day (more often with an active GM), it really slows things down for the rest of us. And these games go slow enough in the best of situations.
Specifically now, Harsk ... where are you? We're kind of waiting on you. And Dar, since the game started a week ago, you posted a single non-OOC post.
Guys and gals ... this game can be fun, but only if we are active participants.
Lastly, like many of you, I'm doing the shelter in place thing. I look forward to diversions like this. So I'm just extra grumpy cuz I'm a little bored. I really don't mean to offend. I just want us all to get more out of this game.
Thanks for understanding.
Scott, Jeeves player

This is a message for everyone on posting frequency and momentum. I am currently on near permanent lockdown and am therefore free to update this game as often as people post to it.
That doesnt mean I expect multiple posts a day from people but my expectation is at least one post a day. PbP can slow to a crawl if people are not contributing. I can deal with that in combat fairly easily by botting or delaying people.
However, this scenario is a big old sandbow where you can dela with things in any order that you want. It is pretty RP and exploration heavy which is why I really need everyone to be proactive or we will run massively over. I would therefore ask everyone to do your best to post once per day.
I understand that wont always be possible, especially in the current situation but if you could do you best, even if its just to post up a skill check so we can move on that would be great.
If we end up getting bogged down I am likely to start making skill checks for people to allow things to keep moving.

I am at lockdown, but during workdays there are a lot of job to be done. Also I am looking for work abroad for relocation. And got a game to develope as a narrative designer. During weekends a lot of home routine, cleaning and other stuff.
Moreover I am involved in 3 pbp games now at the same moment and every game is tough and quick. Seems like I should participate in 1-2 to be more active.
Finally, my english is just B+ (upper intermediate) so, speed of reading and writing not as good I'd as like to.
I will post 1-2 times a day, and try to react faster.

Dar, you mentioned getting +1 using your Healer's Tools.
My understanding is that you only get +1 with Expanded Healers Tools, which are not available for purchase till you reach level 3 (for 50gp).
I'm pretty sure the basic Healer's Tools are required just to make the attempt.

Ahh, one of the big changes with PFS-2 that I'm personally still getting used to. Aid is far more risky now at low-levels. In PFS-1, you only needed a 10 to Aid. And it was worth +2. And there was no downside. But in PFS-2, you typically need a 20 to Aid. For a measly +1. And worse, if you roll a 10 or lower, it's a Crit-fail, which is a penalty of -1 to the check. Example: With a +5, a Crit-fail (-1) is about as likely as a Success (+1), with normal failure occurring about half the time.
Seems a better deal when you reach +9. Then you'd have a 50-50 chance for Success, w/ only a nat-1 resulting in a Crit-fail.
Maybe everyone already knows all this, but just in case ....

Posting this on the discussion thread to avoid derailing gameplay.

He was talking to the receptionist, he didnt like being interrupted.
No. He wasn't talking to her. I spoke with the receptionist because he interrupted us. According to your post, he was literally shaking Jeeves' hand and asking him a question. My post immediately followed; he didn't have time or opportunity to chat with the receptionist again.
At the mention of Themolin the well dressed man smiles and turns and shakes Jeeves hand. Why hello there, my name is Barralbus, what sort of business could the likes of you have with my esteened colleague?

You invited "anyone" to roll. So, I did.
Anyone who wants to may try and improve the secrretary's view of you with a diplomacy check to make an impression.

Look, I'm not trying to be argumentative here. I'm just confused about NPC interaction.

I took it as this guy is just rude. Probably nothing that Dar did. If he's there flirting with the receptionist (based on her reaction, sounds like he was), he's probably annoyed with all of us for interrupting and ruining the moment.
Just my 2 cents.

![]() |

Probably nothing that Dar did.
The GM explicitly said it was because Dar interrupted his conversation.
He was talking to the receptionist, he didnt like being interrupted.
I don't understand the scene here. Maybe it's moot. But, scenario success obviously hinges on social interactions with NPCs; so, I'd like to have a better handle on what's going on.

GMAndrewW |

Baralbus was talking to the receptionist. The group came up. Jeeves introduced himself, Baralbus turned and shook his hand. Dar talked to the receptionist which annoyed Baralbus who flounced off in a big stroppy man huff as you interupted him chatting up the receptionist.
It is the recentpionsit you need to convince to get in to see Themolin.
Does that make more sense?

The CRB says that cantrips can be cast more flexibly and freely. Specifically, could Jeeves cast Guidance on Harsk (to help with the Stealth check) without drawing unwanted attention?
If there are already various minor magics being used throughout the room (Detect Magic, etc.), then maybe another cantrip would go unnoticed.
Basically, in general for PFS-2, are cantrips just as obvious as normal spells?

![]() |

For K'Anubis: Ahh. Didn't know you use Mountain Stance in your attacks. That makes sense now. And I didn't know some of those stances override the Agile trait of normal unarmed attacks. Interesting.
For anyone: So even though the monk stances have the non-lethal trait, does the Monk's Powerful Fist still override those and allow them to be lethal (without the -2 penalty)?
So while you might lose the Agile trait (depending on Stance), you can still ignore the non-lethal trait if you wish?

GmAndrewW I will attempt to copy some of the spells at some point during the game. In Beckett's last adventure I attempted to copy 6 spells into my book. I successfully copied four but failed on two. Since I didn't critically fail I still have the materials necessary to copy two spells on hand I just need to make the rolls. You can see my rolls and results on the page I linked.

Why is Flitch going on the boat from Shard Cove? I don't remember coming to a consensus on who would be the 5th person but the stone giant seems like a much better choice so that we don't have to try sneaking him passed armed guards in a busy port. I thought we forged a set of travel documents for Flitch so that he could leave with us.

Flitch said he wanted to be one of the first ones out from Shard Cove. Of course you can disappoint him but he will whine and moan at you.
It is up to you but so far not many people have actually waded in on how you want to do this.
I would like to move us forward. If I havent heard anything further by tomorrow I will assume you take the giant along with the family, that Jeeves, Beckett and K'Anubis escort them to the cove and that the rest of you stay at the Inn. If that isnt what you are doing then now would be the time to say so.

![]() |

Right. My understanding was that Flitch was very clear that he was to be on that first boat. And since we planned to use his campsite and passage to the cove, I didn't think there was any way to avoid NOT including him. I thought our only real choice was which 4 join him.
As for the stone giant, sounds like he can shape shift (didn't we find him as a wall?), so we probably have some options getting him past the guards.
But if you guys think we can talk Flitch into waiting an extra day, no worries taking the giant and Daffrid's family on the first boat.

![]() |

If we think we can get the giant on the second boat then that's ok it just seemed like more work than getting a guy I thought we already had travel papers for out by that method. Personally I don't care if Flitch whines though. He's kind of a dick. The girl at the inn caught Filth Fever showing him the route to the cove and hiding him in the sewers and he was just using her so I'm totally fine letting him be the one who's being used.

I'm good with that! Beckett's plan it is.

Hello GM and team,
The Organized Play Online Venture Officers have been made aware that Qstor had a Real Life situation come up and will be out for around a week. We request you be kind enough to please bot his character for the duration.
Thank you.
Will do. Thanks for the heads up. He emailed me yesterday as well.

Beckett, examining the papers they look like rather poor forgeries although they are good enough to give anyone making their own a +2 bonus on their Society check.
Good point, Beckett. Just looked it up and you're right. GMAndrew -- Is Beckett correct that we should NOT use the documents we got from Flitch? But that the sets we made on our own may be good enough?
