So thanks to Amaqil's work together ability, we're considered flanking if we both threaten an enemy. 1 action to direct Amaqil, 1 to hunt prey, and one to flurry.
Not really. That's a specific action that Amaqil has to take; it's not automatic. And if the Support action is taken, no actions other than move actions can be taken that turn by Amaqil.
Finnace Cailean |
Oh jeez, has it been a week?! I'll check in with the GM, see what's going on; he's been posting fairly well in my other games with him.
GM XaveTheNerd |
Sorry guys! I was feeling pretty sick last week, so I didn't get to posting everywhere. Still trying to get into the habit of making time to post at the new place. Was much easier before the move since my computer was in the living room, not up in a dedicated office room like it is now.

Hi everyone!
Sorry for my absence and thanks for your patience. There was an error with Paizo’s website that wouldn’t let me sign in, but its been fixed and I’m back online now.
Thanks!

The boar can run far!
It looks like P'oxtan can handle the goat, but Honey decides its best to remain behind the bar, just in case.
A few of us aren't looking so good, so Honey calls upon a deep well of divine energy from within her and releases it in a burst of warm healing light. Using the 3-action version of Heal. All of us (Hush, Honey, and Amaqil) should be within 30 feet. I think this also heals any enemies in the area, but I think it's worth it.
[dice=Heal]1d8
Yes, it does also heal enemies, which in this circumstance includes: the boar, Violet the goat, the dwarven woman that owns Violet, and at least one of the ruffians (depending on how the GM rules NPCs that hit 0 HP).
Finnace Cailean |
Not necessarily a bad idea, it just made me scratch my head for a bit. Then I noticed Honey and Hush's HP and I realized what you were going for.
GM XaveTheNerd |
Has the website been super slow for anybody else lately? Every time I went to post Sunday and Monday, it refused to load for long enough that I gave up on it.
Finnace Cailean |
Alrighty! Probably best in the discussion thread, but you all need to decide who is going against who. It doesn't matter too much in the end. Also, because there are four of you, one of you is expected to aid another, so it may be best to find a pair with similar skills.
My first instinct would be to to have each specialty go up against each other. E.g. have the acrobatic Honey go against the acrobatic clown, have P'oxtan go against the other animal person (the lion tamer), and Finn go against the fire dancer (bit of a stretch, but fire dancing and juggling have kind of the same skill set), which would leave Hush to Aid one of us. I have no justification for this choice beyond pure story reasons (I find the idea of Honey saying "let me show you how a real acrobat does it" to Mr. Tickles over here).
Speaking of P'oxtan, has anyone heard from him? It's been quite a while since he last posted...
'Hush' |
I don't mind aiding if you three want to lead.
@GM: I can only aid another on one other person, yes?
GM XaveTheNerd |
Looks like we're going with Finn's plan. Honey, post when you're ready and I'll take it from there.
GM XaveTheNerd |
Sorry for the confusion:
You'll each be performing a variation of your trick against one of the rival performers (meaning you'll be rolling a trick check as if you were performing your Signature Trick). Successes help you with a final check to humiliate them out of town. But, to succeed, you'll need to get a degree of success better than your opponent.

I would like to offer a sincere apology to all of my Play by Post tables. I've been feeling quite off these past few weeks, with this week as a turning point. I've managed to narrow down what exactly is causing these feelings to "GM fatigue".
I think I've got these feelings sorted out, and I'm moving one of my games into early-level Starfinder for a bit to help keep things "easy" for me to prep while I actually get caught up on prep for two of my other irl games. Unfortunately, as a consequence, Play by Post had suffered, as I spent the time I'd normally have used for PbP on prep for these games. I've received enough of a break in prepping the Starfinder Beginner Box and stuff, so I think I'll be able to get back to posting daily soon (TM). In the meantime, just hang tight. I'm definitely not abandoning these tables.
GM XaveTheNerd |
I mean, we weren't fully waiting on you. I decided a break was in order to help me refocus, I'm really hoping to get back to consistent posting this week.
Honey Wasp |
Hush has the highest of those bonuses with a +8 Society. I would try to Aid, but...my +0 says that ain't gonna happen.
I too do not have the Society skill nor any Int bonus for it.
Finnace Cailean |
Oops...I think all of us missed this:
Hush has given us permission to bot her character until she posts here again. She specified I shouldn't share anything more, so whoever rolls the Get Outta Town check, feel free to use her rolls if better.
That's my bad; I'll get on it.
GM XaveTheNerd |
It has been brought to my attention that I haven't done anything about hero points.
Let's go with "Hero points will reset December 1st". Mostly because I want to give y'all time to use 'em.
Honey Wasp |
I decided a break was in order to help me refocus, I'm really hoping to get back to consistent posting this week.
I hope this doesn't come out the wrong way but when are these consistent posts starting?
GM XaveTheNerd |
Honestly, a good question. I'm getting a little peeved at myself as well. I'm currently working on getting another PbP off my chest, and I'm really hoping that helps.
'Hush' |
Hey everyone. Apologies for my absence, but I assure you I didn't take it lightly. I'm starting to get caught up in my games this week, and hope to be back to regular posting by the start of next week.
Hope all is well with you and yours.
And thanks for your understanding.
Finnace Cailean |
Finn did you include the magic weapon I cast one one of your daggers?
Pretty sure that crit-failed Stealth check happened as Honey was sneaking in, so initiative occurred before that could be cast.
Finnace Cailean |
That said, giving me magic weapon isn’t actually that helpful because, well, thrown weapons.
Honey Wasp |
Yeah I know but I don’t think it works on natural weapons. And Hush and I don’t use melee weapons that much.
Or I guess if you don’t want it, I could cast it on my staff then. It’d become useful enough to use.
Honey Wasp |
I was going to suggest we rest for the day so I can recover spells but if there are more monsters on the church grounds, I guess we should deal with those and then rest.
I have one more 1st level spell and 1 more scroll of heal if needed.
Honey Wasp |
So people tended to my wounds for 4 hours and I ended up with the same HP total that I started with...
That's the way the rolls go I suppose.
We can go now I suppose.
Was anyone going to use the magic crossbow? It's not really my thing.
I'm assuming it's probably just a +1 but it hasn't been identified. Could I have identified it during the 4 hours? What roll would that be?
GM XaveTheNerd |
I'll say you definitely had enough time to confirm it is indeed merely a +1 crossbow.
GM XaveTheNerd |
Hey there everyone. I'm sorry to say this, but I'm going to unfortunately need a bit of a break from PbP. I messed up my back something fierce while already having a diagnosed back issue, and the two seem to be interacting in a rather unpleasant way. It is currently difficult for me to do much more than lay down, and until I get this situation resolved, it's not going to be much better. I've got stuff lined up to get this fixed ASAP, but since I don't know when that'll be, I'll have to say that I'll be inconsistent at best until the situation is resolved. I'll update here once it is.
Thank you all for understanding.

'Hush' |
Hey folks,
Juggling this year, work, home schooling, and numerous ongoing family tragedies has left me unable to keep up with PBP. I've been hanging on the last month or two, trying to get back into the games I've been slowing down, but I just can't keep up anymore. I've really enjoyed playing Hush and playing with all of you, but I'm going to have to step away from this game.
Thanks for understanding. I wish you all the best in the coming year and I sincerely hope I have the opportunity to play with you again in the future.
GM XaveTheNerd |
I think it's unfortunately time we call time of death on this one, then. My back recovery is looking to be a few months and I was already struggling with this one. This AP definitely seems like something that would be done better in person (trust me, I've done circus rules in person before. They were so much more fun when it was collaborative versus in this format).
Apologies to all. Take care of yourselves.
