Oh yeah! You know he was the GM's best friend, or possible significant other's character. Because the only one who was more powerful in that game was Gandolf and you know that was the GMPC!
Are we talking film version of Legolas, or book? I agree Tolkien was hopelessly in love with his elves, but the film took it to another level.
That is true! The book is much more reasonable. Still a bad ass, but reasonable.
In the book, it's Gimli who wins the battle of the body-counts, doesn't he? And none of this "kill an elephant/only counts as one" nonsense, either.

Oh yeah! In the book Gimli is a VIP of Helm's deep! He gets separated from Legolas and Aragorn, as he goes to defend the people and food in the caves when orcs slipped through the lines. He and Éomer force their retreat and in thanks for everything at the end of the war he is named Lord of the Glittering Caves. Those very caves which he defended alongside Éomer.
@DM: I forgot to enter Rage last round, which doesn't add anything to my damage (it only works in melee) but would have reduced the damage I suffered. Can we say I did it anyway? It would increase my survival chances here!
Regards the stairs - would Ónar's Stonecunning reveal more? I've resisted as my initial thoughts were that revealing their history would be meaningless, however might also tell more on its structural integrity?

@All: Don't forget to use inspiration if you need to! And inspiration can be used to help others by giving disadvantage to enemy rolls.

Posting to all my games: My grandmother died Sunday and I'm not in a great headspace for posting. Plus I have to travel home for the funeral, help with arrangements, that sort of thing.
I'll try to get a few posts in, particularly if my character needs to do something in order for the party to move forward, but probably won't manage much in the way of RP or helping with decision-making for the rest of the week. Please bot as needed. I hope to be back in form by next Monday.

Well get this, my fever came back so I went to the doctor or well an urgent care place, my cold left me with a upper respiratory infection... yay...
Before I finish this round and let the spider go again, just a reminder to Harry, Onar and Morwen that they can use Inspiration to get Advantage on their attacks. It might change the results of this combat.

The meds have taken the fever away but the cough still remains which is expected as I'm still coughing this crud up. However the coughing leaves me exhausted and my sides in pain.
Oh right, do we have a torch?
My fever came back with a vengeance Saturday night. I spent all of Sunday in bed, and went to my doctor's today. They upped the antibiotics and gave my steroid and a cough syrup. However the cough syrup knocks me out, so my ability to reply in a timely manor will be effected... at least for a day or so till my new meds kick in.
Ouch, that sounds really nasty. Take care of yourself first and foremost, and we'll hear from you once you're ready to post again.
Thank you all for your patience. It ended up taking a little longer than I'd thought, but for the most part things seem to have settled down. I should be back to my regular schedule.

I'm back! I hope. Still some coughing but I'm done with my steroids so sleep should come more naturally which will help a lot. That had been my main issue is trying to keep up with sleep.
@Morwen - glad to hear it!
I think the torch idea went out when the torches did, which is pretty much as soon as you started using two-handed weapons (bows and slings).
Just waiting on Bergur, I think.

So, my work finally did it. They laid off all of us save three. I was lucky to be one of those three. Though now I have to pick up the slack of the jobs we normally have three other people in. It won't be too difficult because they numbers are very low as well, but I did end up with more days at work so time will be needed to adjust.

Hey all, just posting to let you know our DM hs come down with coronavirus (he hasn't been tested but the symptoms all fit). He's not in any at-risk bracket so I'm hoping he should be fine, but he won't be posting for a few more days.
If you're in any other games with him you might want to let the players there know too.
