Dang! That's 2 crits in a row for that nasty ooze on Ezren.
I am really not liking the AC vs. enemy + to hit in 2e. My guess is there is at least a 25% chance or better for a crit on me and my AC is on par with most of the rest of the other PCs.
Just seems weird. Not much you can do to elevate AC and the debuffs, if you can land them, are only -1 or -2.

To-hit feels a little lower than in Starfinder, but it has the whole double damage thing going on too. I've been helping a friend playtest higher-level monsters, and it seems to stick to this rule even up there.
I don't love the difficulty of buff-stacking, though I'll grant it needed a nerf of sorts. My idea was that you could have a certain limit of buffs on you (like magic items) instead of confining them to two different bonus types.

Starfinder gives you a lot of ways to improve your AC. If you are willing to pay for it, the AC boosts are quite significant.
The parity in 2e, as you indicated, stays consistent as you go up in levels, giving very little leeway to rise above the imposed limit.
Even the debuffs and buffs only last a short period - usually a single round.
This is the first higher level mod I've been in. The lower levels seem to be okay so far for our group.

No worries. So you know, we're pretty much wrapped up now. Just doing some final roleplaying.

I'll have Chronicles done somewhat shortly. I forgot about my debacle regarding Downtime, though. ZD, you've GMed this, maybe you can help? How did you handle Downtime pay, considering these are level 5 characters whose higher gold payouts could be given to 1st-levels? It's not a lot of money, so I'm not too fussed, but I am curious.

Disclaimer: Not 100% if it has been clarified or not. Have not run it in a while. When I ran this, this is what was done at the GENCON and at the time, what leadership had advised to do.
How I did it.
Everyone made a DC 18 downtime roll.(Character Level-2= 3; per the simple DC by level is 18) and the task level would be at 3 as well.
Downtime rolls are typically a craft, lore or perform. I know some of the pregens have special ones they could use.
(results already include the result for 8 days of work)
If you are trained in the skill you choose:
Critical Failure= No money
Failure= 64 CP
Success= 40 SP
Critical Success= 56 SP
If you are Expert in the skill
Critical Failure= No money
Failure= 64 CP
Success= 40 SP
Critical Success= 64 SP
If you are a master in the skill (not sure if it is possible at level 5, but doing it any way)
Critical Failure=No Money
Failure- 64 CP
Success= 40 SP
Critical Success= 64 SP

With all that said, here is my roll.
Tanning Lore: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17 Failure, so 64 CP

Ezren will utilize his silver tongue to make his downtime earnings roll. He has the feat 'Bargain Hunter', which allows him to use Diplomacy when making a Downtime check to earn income.
Expert skill check using Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
Yes, thank you GM Crunch! That was a fantastic game. I truly enjoyed how smoothly it went.
Thank you gang, too, for the great roleplaying experience. I hope to game with you all again soon.

Yeah, let's go with that. It's not a game-breaking cash grab or anything. Feel free to roll those at your leisure.
Thanks a lot! I always appreciate that others have also enjoyed playing. If there was anything I could've done better (besides the map, I know), please do mention it.

Nothing here from me.
I would like to work on some spell templates though. Trying to figure out the fireball dimensions was a bit tedious, but that's on me. :D
I need to have some basic cones, squares, etc. built to speed things along.

Thanks as well for the run! I enjoyed, then hated, then enjoyed again the alchemist class. I have some good ideas for how to build my own now too!

Kyra spends her time preaching in the local temple to Sarenrae.
Trained Perform check: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
That's a failure, so 64 CP.
Thanks for running, GM C! I enjoyed it despite having some learning curve issues with 2E--I'm still feeling my way around the system. And thanks to all of you for some fine roleplaying--especially Hrothdane.
Incidentally, Hrothdane, what are you doing your thesis on?

All right, the game is reported, and Chronicles are here! Let me know if anything weird is up in either regard.

Thank you! I enjoyed it, too!
I'm graduating with an MFA in creative writing, so my thesis is actually a novel! It's about the transgender daughter of Odysseus telling her story after 3200 years.
