I want to do all 6. But since Narayan Singh seems to be our party face at +9 Diplomacy let's save mission 5 for last. Otherwise I have no preference for order.
Boros Anwemane
|
Same - but we might not have time to do them all.
How about we list out the entire order then. We've had interest in #1 and #6, and indifference on the rest (with the exception of #5)
I propose:
#1
#6
#2
#3
#4
#5
And we do as many as we can complete in the time we have. Sound ok?

#1

#2

#4
#5
fine by me. being a half-orc that *can't* see in the dark I'm fine with #4 being nearer the end just as you've got it.

I'm running a table, and Narayan isn't a returning visitor to any of these, so I'll cheerfully go along with what you guys prefer :-)

BTW, I'm assuiming everyone here is a PbP veteran.
Using:
- Rule of 2
- Block initiative
- Botting/delaying after a long period of inactivity (default 24 hours, but depending on the situation (like combat almost finished or obvious or repeat action) this might be sooner)
I'll roll knowledge checks for the monsters you encounter for you. (If I don't forget). Please complete this sheet
Boros Anwemane

Yes, PbP veteran here. I love those rules, especially the botting rule in a scenario like this one where time is critical and it can get so easy to get bogged down and delayed over PbP.
Sparky Fantastico

Putting our bonuses in blocks gets tricky with buffs flying around. Add on the temporary buffs we got including one of us getting +2 to ID the monsters and it gets worse.
Please be sure to tell me about any of my extracts you use so I can keep track.

I'm new to PbP but I should be good to go.
Do you want just numbers in that spreadsheet or the full dice script?

Forgot to boost the token since we'll be passing it.

I did miss the Inspire. What's this token thing? That's something for the multitable? I've never played in one of those before.
Boros Anwemane

It is one of the coolest things in multitable events that I got to experience at GenCon. :) It is, however, much less fun (or useless!) if you don't use it. Every time you use it, it passes to another table. If everyone uses it liberally, it gets passed around much more frequently, meaning everyone gets more potential uses out of it.
Sometimes as gamers we have a hard-wired desire to save consumables. I am very guilty of this... maybe it comes from Final Fantasy. Who knows. :) This one should be used liberally. For mathematical reasons (the more they get used, the more everyone gets) and fun reasons (yay bonuses to hit and damage!)
At both Gen Con 2015 and 2016 (the only two I've been to) it is a blast passing it around from table to table. It's a good way to make some fun connections in the frenzy of a big multi-table event like this :)

I was with you at 2016. Did we use it?
Oh yes. And of course, it was always Miro who was our timely bard, both years.
Edit: This was the event with that hilarious GM, our favorite of both years. I'm trying to remember details but the part that sticks out the most is the big black van...

is it one reroll per encounter/quest?
or once for this entire maybe-6-part event?
being turned into an animal is prolly bad -_-
Nugats

Like I have 2 Pathfinder t-shirts (one from Scotty's RIP) so I get a reroll or if you have a character folio (I do for my 1st PFS character) you get a reroll. I also get a GM star reroll with a +1.
So you get 1 (total - not combined) for merch and 1 if you are a star GM. That is for the whole scenario.
Nugats will enjoy life as an animal. It will be exciting.
.Tree

...merchandize.
I have a couple t-shirts irl. What do you use for online? I have the character folio as a PDF which I think doesn't count irl.
I'm a 2-star GM irl. So that's a second reroll??
Nugats

Online is the same as IRL.
Correct - the pdf folio doesn't count.

You only get 1 for merch which gets a bonus equal to gm stars. Gm stars don’t grant rerolls themselves.

I have a physical copy of the Pathfinder character folio. And the Starfinder one that I bought before finding out it doesn't allow a reroll.

Seems like it wants a blood sacrifice. But do we even want to feed a 'cold god'?? Seems this is how to proceed the story tho?
I have Ironhide feat which is a racial +1 natural armor further enhanced by a +2 amulet. Also, Imma 'green skin' so maybe that's the Green one? Could just mean normal armor too.
is 'Oosthic' with us or just some rando 'guides'? Don't suppose they have an opinion having lived next to this thing for millenia?
.Tree

So now we need alter self or a hat of disguise or?? That seems rather obscure. Anybody got something like that?
or maybe prestidigitation ?
Sparky Fantastico
|
Invisibility from Nugats maybe.
Narayan Singh I can add Remove Curse to my book and prepare it tomorrow but nothing I can do about them today.
Boros Anwemane
|
Sorry for missing a day guys!
So I just got caught up. Do we know that lesser restoration won't work? It has to be some form of curse removal?
Nice work on the first two puzzles. Disguise is not something Boros is good at... I'll think and try to get something up.
Edit: Note: I have 2 x scroll of remove curse and a wand of lesser resto with 8 charges once we know for sure how to help Nayaran with his ability damage.

I could use my arcane bond item to cast any spell in my spellbook, but that is a use I was hoping to save for later. if no one has anything, I can roll with that tomorrow.

We're in initiative but don't have our initiatives assigned yet, right? I'm not trying to be pushy, just making sure I'm not missing something.
Boros Anwemane

Hey, just wanted to mention that if anyone was considering flying for this possible encounter, it would be awesome if you were next to Boros somehow. As long as he is next to someone he gains the benefits of the lookout feat. If he is able to act in the surprise round, it allows him to take a full round action.
| GM Auke |
Sorry, I seem to have lost the narrative. We are trying to repair a bridge in Initiative order?
No, you have stabilized the mountain as best as possible, but it is still not entirely stable. You now have travel to the pagoda, making sure you leave a safe trail (AKA: Monster and Hazard free) for other ratfolk and pathfinders.
Sparky Fantastico

In case it comes up for botting purposes Sparky's bombs have a range increment of 20 and among other things the Splash Weapon Mastery feat lets him throw splash weapons as if he had the Far Shot feat.

GM Auke wrote:My bow does have the seeking ability, but that is concealment, not cover. I think that is my fault for misreading the map. I assumed that everyone was standing near me when they got hit by the tendrils, so if it had line of effect to where we were, I would have line of effect back. I missed the column in the way. Is it ok if I retro my action?
Due to the cover of the large dripstone column between Boros and the Roper all arrows miss.Unless I'm missing an ability to ignore cover?
If you think the rest was still standing next to you, you probably hadn't refreshed your map. I don't mind a bit of a retro, but I feel you are (unconsciously?) using the knowledge gained from the retroed action ("Wow, this thing has high AC, I might need to buff up some more"). I'll allow it nonetheless.
| GM Auke |
Not going to lie, for some reason I though that retrieving an item from a Handy Haversack was a swift action. Reading up, I see that is a move action that does not provoke. Learn something new everyday.
Reaching into his haversack, Nugats grips his lesser empowered metamagic rod. He closes his eyes and lets fly with a Fireball.

Can't access map from work - can anyone help me with placement - 20 ft radius
Quick Draw and Scabbard of Many Blades does work for Rods.
Also, the CLC isn't nearly enough to beat the DC, so placement doesn't really matter. :-(

Thanks for the info GM. Will look into the scabbard. Feat starved as it is.
