Can we at least prove false advertising? The dang thing is definitely not a linnorm king, at least =)

How does this work? Is it one check for each skill, one check per person, or are we going to get multiple "rounds" of checks?

One check per person or aid another. Multiple rounds is fine though there are consequences for failure.
And yes you can try to prove false advertising though you might hurt the golem's feelings.

Lasaraleen, with her touch of glory (or re-touch) will attempt to convince the golem to come with the party.

Khellek has a genuine interest here, he is curious to see if the spirit of a king of old is really in there, and is fishing to see if the name is that of a genuine old king.

"I am Bjorn Halfhand! This lady has seen my glory!" he pauses though his tone seems slightly angered as he struggles to respond.

"I am not a slave to anyone. I seek a Linnorm to slay and one was promised to me!" The hag attempts to calm him down...but stops as she considers Numair's words.

He notes to the hag. "Sometimes a product is .... worth being rid of - even at a very low price. The type that is more dangerous to keep than to sell

@Khellek. You know that In the myraid history of the Linnorm kings, there just might be such a person.

"You lot are just trying to low-ball on this exquisite product I have here." the hag counters though it seems that her argument is weak.

"It would only be low-balling if there were not serious flaws involved. There is no shame in having such a product, but trying to pass it off as more than it actually is, is something that would be far beneath a legitimate businesswoman, such as yourself," Numair says, without a trace of irony.

Indeed. It would be better to sell for a fair price, than to overcharge and have unhappy customers return once the merchandise does not measure to the promise made in the deal.

"Don't linnorms breath fire?" Doubtful mutters, pondering the waxen makeup of the golem with a shake of his head.

Khellek clears his throat, and speaks in only slightly accented Skald to the golem.

He looks on curious about whether the golem understands his supposed native tongue.

The golem looks strangely at Khellek.
"Tis Linnorm's name is long and strange to my ears...."

It obediently follows you towards the Inn.Assuming this is so.
Once there you give it into Dreng's caretaking before heading to your next destination.

The interior of Wightir house is dimly lit with 20-foot-tall ceilings. When the PCs arrive, its double doors are wide open.

Do you go in.

Doodle casts Mage Armor as the group enters the entrance to the house.

Doubtful will use his wand of mage armor (or get someone's help doing so. =))

Doubtful will lead the way, figuring they'll get ambushed no matter what, so might as well get it over with.

He will take a moment to listen for signs of trouble and keep an eye out for said ambushes.

Perception: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (14) + 16 = 30

"Maybe it is just me, but for the storehouse of an organisation such as the onyx alliance to be just...open... looks suspicious. Either someone else is here ahead of us... or it is a trap."

That paranoid dwarf is rubbing off on me.

He then also casts Mage Armor, and See Invisibility as well, for good measure.

For spell duration- how long since start of golem negotiations?

Lasaraleen could switch to shield other tomorrow but the best she can do for Khellek today is extended bear endurance for +4 con and 10hp

No worries, I try not to get too close to combat at the best of times. But traps... I think I may be investing in some wands in the near future.
At the very least invisibility!

Not to mention AoE - a Fireball would really ruin Khellek's day :-/

A sheet of waist-high blue flame cuts across the chamber from east to west, sectioning the area in two. A circle of similar flame a foot high rises between the two immense statues at the chamber’s northern edge. Then, as though emerging from water, a raven-haired woman with skin of near-alabaster white appears. Dressed in a stylish, dark violet dress armor that shifts as though it were oily liquid, the woman looks out with glowing yellow eyes.

Lasaraleen nods at the sight of the woman, waiting for the leading dwarven duo to make their approach as she watches from behind the party.

Now there is a woman that has her own fashion statement and not afraid to own it. she muses to herself.

Doubtful's reaction is almost instinctual... as the blue flames start to cut them off, he is suddenly launching himself out of the way. With almost no motion to indicate its about to happen, he's leaping over the flames, to land in the clear space on the far side.

Jump: 1d20 + 32 ⇒ (14) + 32 = 46
Hm... that covers about 10' vertical, or 46 feet horizontal.
Not sure where we are on the map, but as long as he's not hemmed in anymore, that's a start!

She looks Human though looking at her one can tell that she shares the same clean facial lines of the Blakros Matriarch, Hamaria Blakros.

The raven-haired woman speaks. "Greetings, Pathfinders. I must commend your agility Master Dwarf it is rare to see one such as you display such acrobatics...."

She laughs lightly and gracefully. “I suppose this is the moment where most of your ‘villains’ would gloat about their plans and how you’ve fallen into their trap. Well, I like to think I’m not a villain, and I would ask that you review your own organization’s history, not to mention that of the Blakros family. I’ve appeared here to let you know that, under my leadership, the Onyx Alliance has little interest in pursuing a vendetta against the Pathfinder Society. Assuming, of course, that you break off your ties with the Blakros family.

“Why would I reveal all of this? Well, because unlike the Onyx Alliance leadership who preceded me, I like to think that my opposition isn’t completely inept. In fact, I fully expect you to overcome the challenges set forth in this building and return to the Material Plane with all the objects you’ve recently come to realize I acquired from the Blakros... from my family’s museum. I even promise that beyond the walls of this building, you’re safe to continue your investigations and find any items you may not have already recovered without fear of Alliance interference......”

Numair frowns.

"I am not going to try and deny that what previous generations of the Blakros Family did was terrible, but the current generation can't be held accountable for sins they did not commit - in fact, from what I recall, the current generation broke off ties with the Alliance, rescuing the daughters from *this* generation."

He then sighs.

"In any case, we don't have the authority to rescind the alliance between the Society and the Blakros Family; we are field agents, not Venture Captains, or members of the Decemvirate. That said, we can certainly pass your message up the food chain..."

"That we can." nods the scholar.

"I am curious as to whether you have an ongoing vendetta against your family of old. Surely, given they have stopped the practise you were subjected to, you would approve of their ... current stance."

He pauses for an answer before following up with.. "You now lead the Onyx alliance? That is impressive for one who was to be sacrificed to them. One might be curious as to how such a turn of events happened. Why, surely one as talented as yourself would also be welcomed back into the arms of the Blackros family? The Daughter Returned!"

Does Khellek have any idea about how long ago Sarnia Blakros was "traded" - could she be undead now?

Polanco frowns.

Onyx Alliance? You lot killed a lot of innocent people at that wedding I attended and you tried to swindle the Blakros family out o' their earnings.

He scratches his head. Now, I ain't much fer politickin but it seems to me that you know you've lost and are tryin' to find yerseff a life raft now that a bunch o' competent oper-ate-ives have caught up te ye. How's about you surrender before'n this comes to blows. Cus I ain't workin' for no murderers.

Her laugh as she answers echoes in the room. It si not one of madness but acceptance and amusement.

“Yes. In fact, I was one of the last Blakros daughters to be offered up to the Onyx Alliance before your Society ended their arrangement. I suppose my life is one of extreme degrees of luck and misfortune.”

“They say that immense pressure is what creates diamonds. In my case, immense pressure unlocked a reservoir of psychic potential that I used to my advantage in a rather well-executed coup. When it came time to make my move, it was honestly very simple. Turns out, if you offer a whole caste of enslaved and mistreated servants a more noble cause to fight for... well, they tend to fight for you instead.”

“I doubt that dear Hamaria would ever consider recognizing my, and my many sisters’, claim to the Blakros family’s fortunes. I also doubt your Decemvirate would ever risk the Pathfinder Society’s association with my distant relatives. Who knows, maybe you’ll surprise me when you make it back to Absalom and report in. If the Decemvirate does decide to recognize my claim, then yes, we can be friends. I’ll even invite you to my stronghold for a delectable dinner!”

“If you're looking for the missing items you have yet to find then know that... thing took one of them to the western rooms. Don’t ask me about it. It’s really something you need to see and experience for yourself. The painting is in the northmost room, though I suggest you investigate the eastern and western wings before going there. You’ll be better prepared if you do so.”

Numair bows politely, never one to interrupt a grand-standing villain.

"Then we will do so."

"If you don't mind me asking.. you are being very civil about this.." mentions Khellek.

"What is it that you hope to gain by letting us recover these items? And what is it that you wish to claim from the Blackros family? While I can't claim to have ever met a member of the Decemirate... in recent years their attitudes has softened towards those who have been enslaved against their will. "

Polanco is clearly itching for a fight We shouldnt trust this bonnie lass, she's gonna ambush us the moment we give her an opening...

"I have no reason to fight you face to face when I have others more suited for such a thing to do so. Instead I offer you a challenge and a message for you to bring back to your superiors. You'll be surprised at how much they have hidden over the years." she laughs.

"I have already told you that the items are here and that you're not alone." in response to Polanco.
"Why don't you strike me down then if you think it prudent."

"What *Exactly* is the message you want us to carry? And is telling us about the items what you regard as the 'fee' for carrying this message?" asks the scholar.

Turning to Polanco he adds "We have managed so far without battle, let us hope that might continue a short while longer..."

“Well then, I suppose we should get this over with. Best of luck.” She shrugs now entirely bored.

Sarnia’s image and the associated flames immediately disappear in blast of smoke.

He then fumbles around to try and get Bessie off his belt even as he admires the architecture of the building.

"You know, this reminds me a lot of the early layout of the Blackros museum, before Nigel reconfigured it..."

”She was extremely chatty if she is or was a villain. These dreadful creatures will need to be eliminated and hopefully then we can get back to the conversation. “

Aye Lasaraleen, when I am getting swindled and then get attacked by monsters, I always want to go right back to being swindled!

Ah, she may be a swindler, I cannot deny. But I totally suspect she has information we want and need. There is more to her swindling than she was able to tell. But that will have to wait. We have a couple of sticky wickets first.

Khellek is able to tell that these are constructs though their shoddy construction makes them vulnerable to bladed weapons. They are tough but restricted to only goring attacks however one needs to take note of their reach. (15 ft).
Once he has informed his companions, he begins inspiring them once more.

Doubtful gives one a mighty blow and cracks appears in its side.

In return both attempts to turn the brave dwarf into a pin cushion!!
