I've had a really rough few weeks with my household sharing back-to-back illness and intermittent internet issues. I apologize for slowness/absence and am working to get back to normal posting over the course of the week. I also apologize if you've seen this message in another game I'm in, just covering my bases because I'm so far behind in...everything!

Also, do we want to maybe consider looking at the new Mechwarrior Destiny Rules? Catalyst put out a beta preview of it, and from what I have seen its a much more modern take on the genre. (Which is to say there aren't 50 thousand skills and only 10 skill points to distribute among them)

Oh man. I downloaded Mech HQ when I was writing my backstory so I could get a good idea of what planet to be from and how many jumps it would be from various important locations. I love playing around with it.
Unrelated note, I just introduced my 8 year old to battletech a few weeks ago and he loves it. We are working on painting his first mech now.

BTw, since things got so held up here I will be doing more of a narrative combat for dealing with these punks and we will see how it rolls and figure the best path forward from there. Expect to finally be moving again tomorrow or Friday!
Actually I am quite happy about the slowness, as I am in training for this week and my wive was in a training out of town, so I had to take care of my daughter too.

I suck, yes. Real life, taking too much on, technical hang-ups, trying to adjust to too many disparate systems, and my own massive anxiety issues are standing in my way. I'm working on trying to improve my posting and am not yet marking the game fully inactive, but I am not planning on updating until I take some time to get the easier to manage games fully back under control and can take the time to look at how to move forward. I'm calling it suspended for now. I hope to revive things in the next few weeks if I can work enough stuff out because I really want to do this game somehow and had a lot of notes I don't want to sit in a folder untouched forever.

Yeah, I pulled it out of the graveyard. I want to work this week to get the engine fired up again and figured first step was to re-activate lol.

GM, have you considered using the Mechwarrior Destiny rules? They haven't been released yet, but Kickstarter backers (including me!) have them.
They are supposedly very rules light, narrative based, and incorporate mech combat seamlessly.
It'd be something I would consider (at least adapting/using for inspiration) if I had a copy myself. I'll keep an eye on the idea.

I recently cleaned up my Drive and looks like I removed the copy, but I can get it back up and PM you the link as soon as I get the chance.
I've only skimmed it so far, but it's an interesting take on the game and I am interested in trying it out at some point. If I end up quarantined I will really dig into the text.
BTW, I sent you after the Long Tom back at the farm just in case it took a while. You can feel free to throw in some descriptive stuff about traveling that way and I will get you a quick scene regarding it this week. Extra slow on all my games because...well, the same reason everyone is confused and slow about everything right now. Hope everyone is staying healthy and safe!
