Both Aaftaab and Parvaaz avoid the splash of fire as Parvaaz flies up over the wall of fire then swopes down to attack Shimazi. Aaftaab’s void blade touches the foe just as Parvaaz’s beak strikes and draws blood. Simazi strikes at Parvaaz as he swoops in through his better reach, but misses the Roc.
Dodging the explosion of fire, Kahwen shifts to attack the strangler from behind and slash him with his deadly blade. Unfortunately he can’t get a flank on his foe because Daedîn doesn't have a weapon capable of threatening the strangler. Still the weapon strikes leaving a nasty wound.
Still on fire, Daedîn attempts to slip from the strangler’s grasp, and just barely breaks the grip holding him there. Then shifts to the side away from the wall of fire.
BOT: Dodging the fire splash Starling begins inspiring courage as she moves back down into the lava tunnel away from the wall of fire and for the better acoustics.
BOT: Feybella avoids the splash of fire, but not Wolfie. Feybella and Wolfie move back down the lava tunnel with Starling.
The fire on Daedîn continues to burn him as it flares up.
The Xun jumps on Daedîn trying to grab him again, he just barely manages to get a grip on the Sniper
Shifting back a step Shimazi uses his abilities to quickly cast a healing magic on himself, then cast the spell again healing even more before commanding his follower, ”Stop the flying pair, Freeze the Roc!”
The Saboteur throws a cold bomb at Parvaaz hitting the Roc and sending a wave of cold frost over Aaftaab and Kahwen.

Breaking free of the grapple Daedîn drops his bow and draw his elven blade.
Failing to avoid the flash of frost Kahwen shifts into a flank with Daedîn and attacks! With the boost from Starling’s performance, he manages to stab the Strangler in the lower back wounding him severely. The Xun grunts and looks angrily at Kahwen.

Lantern Lodge faction info
Amara Li addresses the PCs one final time upon their return to Ramparassad. “Several years ago I arrived in Absalom as a nearly unknown figure who spoke of a nearly unknown land, and together we endeavored to bring the wonders of Tian Xia to the Pathfinder Society and in doing so draw the Society’s attention to our land. We brought the Decemvirate knowledge of the Hao Jin Tapestry, and it was we who guarded it against further intrusion when our enemies exploited gaps in the demiplane’s weave. With our efforts, it is now one of the greatest treasures and tools of the Society. Were that not enough, we have now secured an alliance with an ancient and honorable organization. There is much honor in what we have done, and so much of it belongs to you for your years of service.
“I have a few last tasks to conclude before I return to Goka to lead an expanded lodge there—the Society’s new regional headquarters. While our accomplishments thus far are great, even greater work lies ahead for me, and I cannot split my attention between the whole of Tian Xia and interests in the Inner Sea. I shall always support you when you are in Tian Xia, but your oaths and obligations to me are now officially fulfilled. Do not think that you are being abandoned. If you wish to seek a new patron, you will receive a letter of introduction penned by my own hand. If you wish to continue to serve me, do so by working alongside your fellow Pathfinders and sending me news of your travels. For now, rejoice, for we are victorious!”

![]() |

Wow. So this is a ‘good bye’ scenario!
”We will always remember the lantern lodge as a beacon of hope and welcome all members in the Silver Crusade faction to guide the forces of good!“ Aaftaab says more to himself and Parvaaz.

![]() |

Wow. So this is a ‘good bye’ scenario!
I believe it is, though I keep thinking season 4 was too early for the retirement of factions.
The Kirin is the capstone achievement of the mission Venture-Captain Amara Li undertook 2 years ago when she first brought the Lantern Lodge to Absalom and proposed an expanded exploration of Tian Xia. The Lantern Lodge transitions from a minor faction and special interest into a fully recognized branch of the Pathfinder Society that might oversee even greater projects in Tian Xia.
