I deducted 175 gp from the party funds for the scrolls on the treasure tracker.

DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

I show the spider climbs scroll is 150 alone and the communal is 375. Yes?

@Iron, Kizzy would use her natural charms to help secure information, and favorable prices - she would never cheat someone who didn't deserve it.
I know sometimes you can use diplomacy roles (+17) or bluff (+18); Kizzy would not us the intimidate option. BUT - I really don't want to bog down the game haggling with merchants, so if you would keep it in mind behind the scenes and apply when important I would appreciate the effort. If you want me to do something different instead, please let me know.
If all that would simply be a waste of her time, she will seek to perform at local venues.

DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

This being a different era tradecraft is not without its haggling. The list price with assume haggling back and forth and items more or less ending up at the list price on average. When trying to haggle using diplomacy or Prof merchant or something else of similar style we need a system which I thought I had shared on here but cannot find. So, I intend to add this to the top information. If someone finds it, please let me know and I'll switch back to that.

Base DC 17, a merchant is reluctant to give up their goods. This represents an indifferent disposition with a +2 Cha. For every 5 by which you can exceed the DC, you get a 5% shift in the offered price up to a maximum of 10%. This works for buying and selling. If you fail the roll by 5, the merchant shifts the price by 5% in his favor. If you fail by 10, he refuses to sell/buy.

DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

Actually, I added it to your Player Notes page.

DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

Also, I do not want to tamp down anyone's desire to take actions in town. Apply the skills you have put points into. If I have not thought about it before but you have a good way in which to use a particular skill, I will typically try to give a bonus for it. You put character resources into skills so you should get some sort of reward for it.

F Human Varisian Bard 8 hp 56|56 AC 16 | touch 11 | flat-footed 15 | F +3 R +7 W +8 | 30' |Init +1 | Perc +13

DC is 17; Kizzy has +17; so minimum of 18… can she take 10? (Check=28) that instantly grants the 10% reduction.
It would keep things simple - if you allow that, I propose we deduct the 10% from quoted prices when Kizzy goes shopping with individuals.

DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

Yes, you may.

Totally metagaming here but the way scenarios are written it does matter how much time you take. whether we leave now or in a week, we will happen to arrive at the cusp of a moment. And I think the boat is a legit sidequest that the module allows for. I'm OK with moving on, but I think it would be more interesting to explore the ship and it might help us against snake lady when the time comes as it may produce a mulligan (or whatever it is called when there just happens to be a flesh to stone salve when there is a medusae in the house).

How long is the trip to the fort? If it is over a day, then all we would have to deal with is a wandering monster encounter and I'm sure we can handle that short of spells.

DM / GM / The man behind the curtain

It is a full days walk, 18.5 miles. If you left now you might get there just after sundown.

The opening for the cave is behind the waterfall... otherwise there would be water flowing out of B12. How high above the pool is the cavern opening, and how big is the opening itself? How much if any gap is there between the water and cliff face?

Do we need more buy in before we go with the plan, or can we move along?

Other ideas would be to put up a silent image spell to disguise the climbers, invisibility spells, etc.

Exactly about the save, it is a DC 16 FOR and it is to determine if they become permanent or can be healed with rest.

I totally missed the gecko, I thought you had your riding dog? When did you summon the gecko?

With 10 mins per level, even split you still have time to use spiderclimb. The raven and Vale let you know the door of the tower is facing the secret exit into the courtyard.

Runt - we all do that from time to time!
I called my pc in another game Kizzy for a day.

But let’s get back to the real question… secret entrance into the fort through the caves or run across the courtyard and or scale walls in a thunderstorm. If we want to stay inside and kill a few ogres without fighting them all at once, why don’t we go skulking through the secret tunnel?

Battle Cry effect lasts for 1 minute

Swift action = +1 morale bonus on attack rolls and a +4 morale bonus on saving throws against fear. This effect lasts for 1 minute. If an ally is under the effect of this feat and fails a saving throw, she can choose to end the battle cry’s effect on her to reroll the failed save against a fear effect. The ally must take the result of the reroll, even if it’s lower. Each ally can use this effect only once per use of this feat.
