"Let's restrain Freeman, so I can heal him up."
Bones will see if he can tie the Freeman's hands behind his back, using his only pair of restraints.
"Can anyone get the feet?"
If he has time he will then cast https://www.aonsrd.com/SpellDisplay.aspx?ItemName=Detect%20Affliction&F amily=None]detect affliction.
"Anyone know Medicine? To try and see what's up with him?"
Bones'
|
Sorry...
Bones'
|
Bones tries to see if TheFreeman is trying to trick them...
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
"What do you remember? Sorry we hit you and tied you up... but, well, what do you remember?"
TheFreeman
|
Well, the one question Freeman would have is "What was it?" :) Was Freeman aware of his surroundings and actions the whole time?
| GM Sasha |
Bodysnatcher Slime
N Small ooze
Share Body (Ex) : Any damage dealt to a bodysnatcher slime’s host is split between the host and the slime. If a bodysnatcher slime takes 16 or more damage while in a host, the slime leaves the host, moving into an adjacent square, and cannot infest that host again for 24 hours.
I'm gonna say yes, Freeman was aware.
TheFreeman
|
"...Body snatcher slime. Nasty. I remember everything. It was like I was watching but couldn't do anything about it. Check the room! Make sure here aren't anymore!"
Bones'
|
Bones looks at Freeman: "Body snatcher? That thing took over your mind? Controlled you?
That you now? Tell me... are Dwarves short?"
Bones will cut the restraints off when satisfied Freeman is in control of himself again.
Bones'
|
Bones claps TheFreeman on the shoulder: »Are you wounded? Bleeding? I can heal you... »
Did Bones’ Detect Affliction give him any information?
| GM Sasha |
No information from detect afflictions.
Searching around yields only that each box contains a large quantity of sugar. Anyone trained in medicine knows that there’s no practical medical need for a clinic of this size that would justify the sheer amount of sugar located here.
The computer that Freeman hacked now shows numerous accounts, all corresponding with previous patients, were used to purchase the vast sums of sugar stored in this area. Beyond several large payments made to Bargai and the Uniters, there are no other major purchases on record. Anyone trained in medicine can recognize that a clinic with the foot traffic of the Open Collective would need regular shipments of materials, beyond just sugar, to remain operating.
Bones'
|
»Freeman, I detect no problems with you... might be missing something, but good news at least.
So, all the sugar to feed this ear-beasts? They are taking people over? »
Vroom Boom
|
Vroom reloads his petrol tank and gets his flame rifle ready. He wheels himself over to the hallway and looks down it.
| GM Sasha |
This hall extends to the western edge of the clinic, ending in a door marked with an emergency exit sign. A reception area is visible to the south. Three doors line the northern and southern ends of the hall, each marked A through F with clear signs. A background odor of citrus pervades the area, seemingly at odds with the facility’s lack of cleanliness. A shimmering rectangular energy field covers a section near the center of the complex.
Vroom Boom
|
"Is someone just eating a bunch of oranges here or something?" Vroom comments on the smell.
He takes a look at the energy field, wondering what it may be.

Vroom Boom
|
Vroom shares this information with his team, then activates his environmental protection from his armor if in the event whatever he is entering is hostile.
He then strides forward, coming up to the doors.
He waits for his allies before proceeding to open any.
TheFreeman
|
Freeman looks to his friend with a sly grin, "Well, someone seems to have scratched me a few times. Other than being droneless amd tired i'll be fine. Let's see what all this sugar and citrus is about."
TheFreeman
|
Freeman cringes a little bit "Sorry about that. I'm actually not that good of a shot usually. I'm assumin' the slime had something to do with it."
Freeman also activates his environmental protections...
Bones'
|
Bones follows suit and closes his armor seals.
»You good going on without rest, Freeman? Others need a rest? »
Down 2 HP Freeman? I’ll heal later then.
Bones'

Bones casts a spell, healing Freeman magically by--
HP from Mystic Cure: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
So 1 HP + 8= 9 out of 18, I will get Freeman to full HP (18/18) by:
--and then Bones maintains the spell, having his own lifeblood flow into his brother Starfinder.
-9 HP to Bones & +9 HP to Freeman.
Freeman @ full HP ; Bones @ 3/12 HP
Bones would be happy to rest if others need to also. And can do a Healing while resting too.
• I noted Bones @ 2/3 spells left
TheFreeman
|
"Ah, thank you, my friend. I were feeling poorly there. Now, as for this drone.."
As part of his 10 minute rest and spending 1 RP Freeman partially repairs his drone. It now has 2/10 HP.
Zaldekan Dakayo
|
Spending 1 RP for my rest :)
"You nearly took my head off there, Freeman! I'm glad we have you back on our side."
Following his squademates' lead, Zal activates his environmental protections.
Bones'
|
Bones rests for 10 minutes, while at the same time calling upon his Healing Touch.
1 RP spent for full SP & using Healing Touch to 1/day spend 10 minutes to magically heal 5 HP (3+5 = 8/12 HP)
"Ready to roll!"
TheFreeman
|
Freeman looks at Zal with obvious emotion in his eyes. "I cannot say how sorry I am, my friend. I've done terrible things in the past few years but that was hard to live through. I say we finish this. Something bad is going on here and I be ready to get to the end of it!"
Zaldekan Dakayo
|
Zal nods grimly. "I do not blame you in the slightest. I agree: let's see this to the end."
Bones'
|
Bones wipes the mist from his goggles, and moves forward.
"Check the first doors here?"
Bones'
|
Bones takes a step towards the other door, to the "south", and tries it.
| GM Sasha |
Bones'
|
Bones calls out: "This examination room seems empty. I only see some markings indicating distress, along the walls and ceiling. It also contains mysterious trails of discoloration!
What do you see Krara?"
If no danger, Bones will go try the next door down on the South side.
Bones'
|
"Careful! There is a body here!", Bones indicates via comm'.
"Seems to be a host shirren. On top of an examination bed."
Bones will wait for his comrades to join him, before carefully moving into the room.
