A small drone hoverjets into the room, speeding around in quick laps and checking out the decor. It shows its joy through a blue emoticon on its display screen.

Freeman is likely staying on the station at this time. It's not been long since he was rescued from the Scoured Stars... He will likely be in or around the Starfinders complex.
Bones'
|
Bones is at the Lorespire Complex, but sadly is with some Acquisitives who incurred losses during a mission. He is tending to the bodies, with other priests of Pharasma, helping his fellow mercs who are off to the Boneyard.
Vroom Boom
|
The strange little creature known as Vroom-Boom resides in an abandoned warehouse somewhere in the shadier parts of Absalom. The little vagrant learned some time way back when how to disassemble most objects and put them back together. This ultimately earned him a job as a scrap-salvaging contractor.
To some people, it would be clear he works for a chop-shop, but his ethics are not so loose as to rob anyone. As a member of a gang of the Level 21 Crew, Vroom-Boom follows the rules of no stealing from the poor and helpless; only from the opposing gangs that rule the different quadrants of Absalom Station with a cruel reputation.
Zaldekan Dakayo
|
Zaldekan has been staying at his parents' townhome near Jatembe Park following his first mission for the Starfinder Society. He's been spending quality time with Zoomy, and he bought the drone a brand-new gun!
Klaathu
|
Klaathu is in what ever Starfinder dormitory that is available looking at the new items it has purchased while waiting for his next assignment.
Since it found out while helping a family of poor halflings that while it is satisfying to hit stuff with a metal pipe he found somewhere it's not the most efficient way of dealing with hostile enemies and it needs to adapt into ways that are better in those circumstances and the best way to adapt is to spend it's earnings to buy things to more versatile.

Krara Ne'Korm
|
Finally free of those furballs...
Thrilled to be back at Absalom Station, a mostly skittermander-free environment, Krara drops her gear back at a room in the Lorespire Complex.
..for all of about 10 minutes. Then the large vesk is off to the station's lower levels. AS is a hodpodge of different cultures and races always coming in and out, and that means that there's always some groups eager to exchange their unqiue styles in the oldest way: through fighting each other.
Eager to see what the newest game in town is, Krara tries to visit some regular haunts to find a fight club.
TheFreeman
|
Freeman sighs. "Ah, better run grab ma gear.Just in case..." He quickly runs by his bunk, grabs the surprisingly small amount of stuff that makes up all of his possessions and heads to the appointed place.
Bones'
|
Bones finishes sticking the electronic in toe, then, having checked the incoming message, he makes the spiral gesture of Pharasma over the corpse, quickly washes his hands, tosses the apron, and speeds along on his stumpy legs to get his kit and suit up, while calling for a robo-taxi.
Then it is off towards the Downlow.
Zaldekan Dakayo
|
Upon receiving the message, Zoomy takes off, flying in the direction of the nearest pedestrian elevator leading into the Downlow.
"Hey, Zoomy! Wait up!" Zaldekan sprints after the enthusiastic drone, his custom rig extending and displaying Zoomy's location and diagnostic information.
Vroom Boom
|
Vroom reads over the message and stops his disassembly, to which a few of the other scrappers, a Ysoki, Skittermander, and Vesk, look up at him in confusion. "What's the matter, Boomer?"
Vroom looks up to the rest of them. "Gonna need some time off. Got an urgent message." Three of the scrappers come over and look at his screen. One of them taking out a cigarette that they have been puffing on. "How the hell did they know this would get to you?!" The smoker says in bafflement.
"Who knows, who cares? Big pay-day comes from these guys, and that will get a good scoping on some 'quality' models." Vroom then takes off, without another word.
The other scrappers who were staying behind continue looking in confusion, before the screen blips out. "Hey if he can get a good haul back then the boss'll be happy." The Vesk says, getting back up and returning to work.
"Make it count, Boomer!"
=========================================================
Vroom speeds his way to the Downlow, covered in explosives, firearms, flame weapons, and looking like a little Bantrid Rambo. Rolling as fast as he can on his strange spinner ball that is the foot of the Bantrid.
Sharp turns through the district, the Downlow too familiar to him. He has taken a fair number of hoverbikes here from uptight snobbish gang-members from the Upside Kings. The Exo-Guardian compound looms before him just ahead. He zooms even faster to the compound, to which he sees that the level he is on would require a jump to get into the entrance. He circles around and finds a ramp, to which he throws himself at full speed!
Flying into an open window, Vroom lands to the shock and surprise of some of the people inside. Zigvigix, however, seems to have been expecting this entrance.
"The name is Vroom, and I make it go boom!" He says, as he whips out his flame rifle in his appendages.

Krara Ne'Korm

Jostling towards the front, Krara pauses to look at her commlink as it starts vibrarting on her wrist. Glancing down, the vesk almost ignores it before a second skim processes who it's from.
Inopportune timing shirren. she thinks to herself as she glances longingly towards the fight that is preapring to begin. With a snort, Krara tears herself away and begins stomping towards the Downlow. VERY inopportune.
---
Upon arrival, Krara inwardly smiles as she notices another of the Veskarium there as well. The prescence of a...ball-tree(?) is more curious.
'Vroom'. And you are a Starfinder as well? Krara cocks her head, sclaes grating. Krara Ne'Krom. I apologize, but I am unfamiliar with your species. My time in these 'Pact Worlds' has so far been limited.
I am a Vesk, the leading species of the mighty Veskarium. she adds, in case this species unfamiliarity is mutual.
| GM Sasha |
As you travel through the Downlow, you have to weave your way through the bustling areas. It is clearly obvious, if you haven’t been to this section of Absalom Station that this is where the less financially inclined reside. Through one particularly dense marketplace, you can see holo signs for a few businesses, like Diamond Defense Surplus and the Rig House. Meanwhile you are bombarded with plenty of others trying to pass their wares yelling things like ”Get your nutrient bricks here!” and ”Just scrapped from the yards recently! You want it, we probably got it!”. There are even occasionally people handing out pamphlets offering any number of things like ”Ease your burdens and erase painful recollections of traumatic events via a state of the art memory modification procedure!” and ”Join the new movement! Rejoice in the Weeping Knight! Life’s trials are a path to make you stronger!”
You finally make it to the warehouse and a smell of ozone wafts through the conditioned air of the warehouse. Makeshift offices full of equipment and furniture are in the process of having more permanent walls erected around them. A heavily augmented host shirren is conversing with a vesk when they glance over and notice the new arrivals. The shirren wears a pair of shoulder speakers playing upbeat music that fades in volume as the shirren telepathically greets the new group.
“Welcome! I am Zigvigix. Thank you for answering my request and coming to our headquarters, such as they are. This old warehouse is turning quite nicely into a functional place. I dislike being so brief but an important figure to the Starfinder Society is missing. Hurondo, a shobhad who left us after his rescue from the Scoured Stars, started a center in the Lorespire Complex called the Respite and has disappeared since. The Respite provides treatment and services to other survivors of the Scoured Stars and any who have suffered trauma.”
The volume of the music pumping from the shirren’s shoulder speakers further lowers to a barely audible level and the shirren’s telepathic voice takes on a wistful tone, “I have also been to the center, and joining such a close-knit community can be essential to the healing process. Please go to the Respite and talk to Hurondo’s partner in operations, Jiwalla Zarvim. She’s a ysoki who has many connections and a keen mind. She may have clues as to Hurondo’s latest wherabouts.” Zigvigix produces a datapad with the picture of a tall ysoki female in one corner and a map marked with the route from the warehouse to the Respite’s location in the Lorespire Complex.
Bones'
|
Bones grumbles in his beard: "A trauma specialist going AWOL ain't the best advertisement, indeed...".
The Dwarf salutes Zigvigix and clicks his heels: "Aye, boss. We'll go find that shobhad for ya'. Big thing like that, should've been noticed."
Bones sees if he can copy the datapad info' to his comm' unit, or else takes a
picture, and then waits for his comrades before heading off to the Respite.
| GM Sasha |
Zig nods their head as you hear the response in your mind as the faint beats from the speakers continue, "It has been several cycles. He and I had regular meetings at the center. He is a great friend, and while I myself was unable to go on that cursed first mission to the Scoured Stars, I was wracked with guilt for what befell those Starfinders. Hurondo, some of the other regulars, and I would meet at least monthly to talk, eat, and play games. Often, we would speak of what bothers us and how we’ve handled times when ill thoughts and feelings surfaced. Hurondo has not responded to several of my attempts to communicate with him about our upcoming scheduled meeting. He would not behave so unless he was unable."
"Jiwalla was trapped as well, yes. While she rarely allows herself to show weakness, those of us that know her well enough can see she experiences moments of painful recall. She was also a former Exo-Guardian who partnered with Hurondo to open the Respite—how nice of her! While members of the Society were sad to lose Jiwalla’s talents, her and Hurondo’s endeavor to provide succor to those of us who need help is honorable."
Bones'
|
"So, he left a while back, or else felt strange some time ago. When did he start not answering you, sir?"
TheFreeman
|
Freeman nods, "Head to this spot, talk to a Ysoki, find a big 4-armed guy. Got it."
Freeman is not cultured so no roll. :)
Bones'
|
Bones looks at his uncultured Dwarven brethren, and nods.
Vroom Boom
|
"Maybe I should check out this Respite for myself sometime after the mission. I was a Scoured Stars rescuee myself also."
Vroom Boom is also uncultured, and thus has no more to contribute until getting to the Respite.
Zaldekan Dakayo
|
Zaldekan nods in the affirmative. "Understood. The situation with Hurondo is concerning. We will do our best to find him."
Behind Zigvigix, Zoomy bobs along to the music emanating from the shirren's speaker.

Zoomy hoverjets over to Freeman's drone, maneuvering all around it to observe it from every angle.

I will not be updating until tomorrow (something like 16 hours). At which point I'll be working to get into a rhythm of a time during the day in which I will always be available, so that I can stay on the aforementioned 24 hour based progression.
That said, feel free to do purchasing and slot boons
Bones'
|
Bones looks at Freeman: "I am Boín of clan Saltheart."
Klaathu
|
Bobbing and weaving it's way through the streets Klaathu arrives at the location in the downlow where he was invited to go
After entering the warehouse and seeing the others it sends a message out telepathically "Greetings"
---
After hearing the briefing Klaathu summarizes what the assignment is
"Go to the Respite and talk to, Jiwalla Zarvim. Try to find Starfinder Hurondo, a shobhad"
"We can do this"
TheFreeman
|
Freeman looks at Bones with some discomfort on his face, "Well, good for you. I have no clan, we had a falling out. Before I joined up with the Starfinders I was on a forge ship out in the belt. There were words I regret. This is my home now."
Bones'
|
"I was only giving my name, no judgement as to being with or without a clan. Maybe your old clan-mates regret their words too, maybe you'll make it up and get over your falling out, maybe not. You're your own Dwarf, and that's fine by me. And you're a Starfinder, which is all I need to know to stand by you."
Zaldekan Dakayo
|
"Your past is in your past. While I am sorry that you are no longer on speaking terms with your clan, I do hope the Society can provide some camaraderie. And I hope we can help you feel at home here."
Zoomy nods sagely in agreement. :)
Zal then turns to Krara. "It is always good seeing a compatriot in the Society. What brought you here?"
TheFreeman
|
Freeman looks around. "Ah, my apologies. It's still a bit of a sore spot to be sure but the Starfinder society is my clan now and i'm happy to be here with you. You all seem like a good group."
Vroom Boom
|
"Yeah... I don't have a clan per-say..." The Bantrid says, rocking back and forth. "But I can get ya and understand just fine."
Krara Ne'Korm
|
Zal then turns to Krara. "It is always good seeing a compatriot in the Society. What brought you here?"
The Swarm War has dimmed as of late Krara replies, but it left plenty of scars. My father is just one of too many recalled from the field with injuries that make it impossible for them to return to the front lines. I watched him grow restless, no longer able to express his prowess fully. So I thought and realized that I could do it for him.
She points to her left eye, above which a glint of metal peeks out of a neat scar denoting. Ocular implant. There is always action in these 'Pact' Worlds, and through me restricted Vesk can continue to experience the rush of engagements!
Krara's voice slips into a more rasping dialect. {In Vesk} When connected to a strong enough communications array, they can even communicate with me, directing my actions in the fight to further create the immersion experience. No such contracts are taken while on mission of course.
Zaldekan Dakayo
|
"I see. My parents also fought in the war. I hope to continue their legacy of protecting our home and those of others who need help."
| GM Sasha |
“I thank you for this!” Zigvigix projects telepathically, just as the shoulder speakers begin to blast sugar-pop music again.
At this time you may roll a Gather Information check in place of the Culture check to know about the respite, also a Computers check to get info on the Respite from the infosphere in place of the Profession Psychologist.
Assuming...
You maneuver back through the Downlow, heading to the Lorespire Complex. It only takes a short time to reach the Lorespire Complex and the Respite center lies beyond the campus’s main entrance in an area known as the Healing Arches. Two magnificent, green-hued arches made of steel intertwined with silver span the hallway where many creatures of varying species have gathered. Most of the creatures here are humanoid beings that lean against walls or slump in the worn- but-comfortable office chairs and reception sofas immediately preceding the arches. Some of these creatures talk to each other, and while others have gathered around a pair of vesk who are talking loudly. One vesk speaks with a tinge of hysteria in their voice while the other tries to sound calming. The wall leaning group consists of two female humans and a male ryphorian. Male ysoki slumps in a worn-but-comfortable-looking office reception sofa. He is staring at his paws in a non-focused manner. A group composed of two androids, a half-elf, and a strix converse with each other while standing farther out from the other groups waiting in the Healing Arches. There are also electronic double doors that lead farther into the Respite.
What would each of you like to do?
TheFreeman
|
computers: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30
As he walks along Freeman looks up info on this organization. After a quick scan he mutters, "Perhaps I should come back to check this out later..."
After arriving and sizing up the area he walks up to the crowd around the two Vesk to see what the fuss is about.
Bones'
|
@Freeman: are you sharing the information you gathered via Computers?
Always the awful diplomat, Bones did offer a could beers, and asked around about the Respite--
Diplomacy Gather Info': 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (13) - 1 = 12
--confirming some basic information.
Culture 10+ spoiler open for all
Bones looks around, to understand: are the people waiting here for the Respite, or could they be for other medical places within the Healing Arches?
Then he will follow Freeman towards the Vesk duo.
Krara Ne'Korm
|
Hmm. Krara grunts as she gazes at Respite from the street. This Hurundo’s choice of establishment shows sound taste.
Moving into the atrium, the vesk notices a Ysoki acting oddly Jiwalla perhaps? before the sights of two of her fellows catches her eye.
Ah! she says as she strides towards the vesk. A pleasure to see you. How are you in this home away from home? she asks, her body angled to direct the question at the seemingly calmer one.
Zaldekan Dakayo
|
Computers: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Zaldekan follows Krara, addressing the more distressed vesk.
"Hello there. Is everything all right?"
Klaathu
|
Diplomacy (gather information): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Klaathu having gathered that it needs to look for a Shobad or Ysoki to get further information and focuses on the task at hand floats over to the Ysoki on the sofa without joining the others at the Vesks
Klaathu then telepathically contacts the Ysoki
"Excuse us, are you well enough to converse?'
| GM Sasha |
Two vesk, a male and a female, converse loudly in front of the arches here while a group of creatures gather around them expressing their worry about the situation.
As you all approach the male vesk’s head snaps in your direction and then he begins yelling in a loud kind of sob, "THEY’RE STARING AT ME! THEY’RE STARING AT ME! STOP STARING AT ME!”
As the male vesk is yelling, the female vesk talks soothingly to him, ”Now, now Razda, it’s me Svata. We're here to talk to people Razda...”
”THEY HAVE WEAPONS!! WHY DO THEY HAVE WEAPONS?!”
”Now, now Razda, it’s me Svata. I’m sure they are nice people. I'm sure everyone is nice here at the Respite. Come, let's go inside Razda. You haven't slept in days. I bet the people here can help.”
Razda looks at your group as if he knows you. Tears well up in his eyes and he buries his hands in his face.
The male ysoki slumps in a worn-but-comfortable-looking office reception sofa. He is staring at his paws in a non-focused manner. He does not respond in any way to your telepathic communication.
You hear yelling over at the rest of your team.
Krara Ne'Korm
|
A vesk is never unarmed friend. Krara says to the clearly upset Razda. But these are not for you. See?
The vesk carefully reaches one clawed hand towards her rifle and takes out the weapon's battery.
I am Kraka Ne'Krom. And I must say you look familiar. Have we met before? Perhaps at the Academy on Vesk 3?
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Bones'
|
Bones raises his hands, to show they are open, and then moves away a bit.
He makes sure to not look Razda in the eye.
"Aye, by Pharasma, we've all hurt at some time. These weapons aren't for you, brother."'
Diplomacy Aid Another: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5
