Rosie takes the bag of dust of disappearance and sticks it in her pocket.
"Make sure you shut the secret door behind you, Toban. We should follow Jastrokan. He's been gone a while."
Rosie goes down the vent after Jastrokan.

With Rosie tagging along behind, Jastrokan follows the lion; the next junction he reaches has the right side of the fork adorned with the scales of justice, while the left fork is plain wood.

"Well, looks like Zarta was secretly torturing people. Oh, my..." Toban looks wide-eyed.
He casts detect magic on the room and its contents and looks around.
If he finds nothing he leaves and shuts the door, makes sure the other door is shut, and then heads into the secret room, also shutting that door. Then he follows his siblings down the vent.
"Scales next."

Seeming at a lost and just blindly following Toban into the vent and waits for the rest of the group to continue forward through the door with the scales.

With Toban's urging, Jastrokan takes the path with the scales...he travels south, coming to another junction with more paintings. To his right (west), there's a crown and to his left (east), there's a spear...

"Crown," Rosie says, leading the way. "It mentions a King, but it doesn't mention anything to do with spears."

Rosie and Jastrokan follow the crown path with the others just behind them. The air duct dead ends with a picture of a centaur pointing to a vent covering...

Following along behind still and unsure exactly where they are looking for information...Cerryl still trusts that they are on the right track.
Hopefully we dont find a secret door into either the ballroom or barracks.

He inspect the vent for traps.

Peeking through the vent, Jastrokan and Rosie see that...
This room is large and square. The walls glow with a gentle blue light, and the air feels unnaturally cool and dry. Shelves line the walls and stand in ranks through the middle of the room, punctuated by a wooden table and ornate chairs. An imposing, unoccupied desk faces the main entrance to the room. On an easel in one of the aisles is a map of the room.
Toban detects no traps in or around the vent. The vent is located near the ceiling; however, there is a cabinet just below it, so climbing down it should be trivial...
Need a Disable Device check to open the vent, followed with a Dexterity check...

Lovissa squishes put to the front of the group and tries to open the vent.
Disable Device: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20
Then she climbs down into the room.
Dexterity: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18

Can I use acrobatics or climb to get down?
Acrobatics or Climb: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8 If I can't then it's five lower for just Dexterity.
Oh no! I use my Eternal Hope re-roll on that.

Toban follows his sister into the room, shimmying down the cabinet.
Dexterity: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15 (I have a -1 check penalty which isn't included in that roll, if its needed.)

You can use Climb or Acrobatics and it's a low DC; the Dexterity check was to see if whomever opened the vent could catch it before falling very loudly to the floor...
Lovissa skillfully opens the vent...and then her quick reflexes allow her to catch the vent before it could fall down to the floor and perhaps clatter too loudly...
Lovissa, Rosie, and Toban safely climb down into the room...it appears to be an archive room, with lots of records.

...And he checks to see if he can lock the door from the inside, to give them some privacy.

Jastrokan climbs down successfully and heads to the front desk while Lovissa checks out the map on the easel. Both of them discover the same thing; the four interior file cabinets are labeled, starting with the NW one and going in clockwise order, “Internal Security: Receipts,” “Internal
Security: Evidence,” “Imperial Security: Dossiers,” and “Imperial Security: Misc."
Rosie is standing in front of the cabinet labeled "Imperial Security: Dossiers"...
When searching through each of the cabinets, you'll need a Perception check...
Toban detects wards, magical and otherwise, designed to sound the alarm if the doors are open or breached. He also detects that it looks to be beyond his and his companion's abilities to disarm...

Toban circles around the fight and gets in position to flank with Lovissa. (he goes around so he doesn't provoke and AoO).
"In Shelyn's name, release him!" Toban exclaims, (activating his destruction judgement as a swift action to gain +2 damage against the chair). He swings his glaive at the chair!
Attack: 1d20 + 6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 6 + 2 + 1 = 19
Magic Slashing Damage: 1d8 + 2 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 2 + 2 + 1 = 13
He also deals 1d6 extra damage when flanking, but it's precision damage so I don't believe it works on the chair. Just in case I'm wrong I'll roll it anyway.

Under construct traits I saw of no immunity to precise damage so I’ll count it...
