Kavor and Jinsa both look ready to run, when the undead uses its ability. Everyone resists the strange energy, but Kavor who suddenly disappears. No one sees where he went. But Kavor finds himself a great distance from the rest of the group. He can see them from another ledge they passed a few minutes ago. Which is all well and good for him as he is away from the terrifying undead creatures.

Argenta sends her missiles of force careening into the nearest undead, they hit of course. Liv draws out a wand and gets ready to use it. Wraith bravely moves in but the creature is faster than she expected and her rapier misses. While it's too late for Kavor, Lasaraleen notices Jinsa's eyes grow wide at the creatures approach and casts remove fear. Jinsa is embolden by the spell and tries to disrupt the undead, but his positive energy ray narrowly misses.

Meanwhile, Kavor is happy to be safely away from the battle and watches on from afar.

The undead attack with grimy claws, one on Wraith, the other steps toward Jinsa. Only one claw manages to hit Wraith and both miss Jinsa.

Argenta fires more magic missiles at the undead. Wraith's rapier finds the mark as well. Lasaraleen's holy smite obliterate's one of the undead, while the other manages to live through it. Jinsa's attack misses the remaining undead, which claws back at Jinsa, one of the claws manages to hit.

Jinsa reaches for a shocking touch at the very same moment that Wraith drives here rapier deep inside the undead creature. It falls in a shower of sparks as the puncture finishes it.

Combat over

After the undead are redead, you are able to coax Kavor back to the group which is a big effort as gravity continues to force the rock to decent toward the fortress.

The floating Vault is nearly a half-mile wide with defenses established in every direction. An adamantine shell encloses the structure; however this has been ruptured, and strands of the sky metal practically bleed from the holes in a vain attempt to repair the damage and reseal the area completely. The ground bulges all about, and chunks of earth and metal explode periodically as blasts of air billow out from within, driven by an unseen force. But landing on the vault's surface and finding a way inside is difficult as the holes seem to regenerate before new ones are blasted open. Each time another gust flings your island back toward the cavern’s edge. You search to identify a prospective breach into the fortress.

Everyone give me a Knowledge (engineering), Perception, or Survival check.

Argenta spots a place to enter just as your miniature mountain crashes into the side of the fortress, you have only a brief moment to clamber off and make your way inside.

Now, everyone give me an Acrobatics or Climb check or a Reflex save to move from the stone into the fortress.

Lasaraleen stumbles and Jinsa miss times his jump waiting too long to jump. They both evidently clamor into the vault but take various wounds from the crash of the rocks. As you go the walls shift and twist.

Once inside things are no easier, you find you must navigate the twisting passages found within the fortress itself. The tunnels are claustrophobic and only the first few Pathfinders are able to help guide the way.

I need 3 three separate either Knowledge (dungeoneering) or Survival checks. One person can perform the main check and two other may attempt to aid.

You take a couple rounds to heal as the wall shift around you, then Liv takes the lead, Kavor and Lasaraleen help here by point out tunnels that look more likely to lead toward the center. Going is tough and the shifting wall bludgeon the group for awhile.

Liv make a left turn as she leads on but it's a misstep and soon a disguise pit opens up underneath her, Kavor, and Lasaraleen.

@Kavor - I did allow stonecunning for the 1st aid check, so you aided all 3. The scenario says if the check is failed by more than 5 (which the second check was (even with 2 aids). There are no perception checks allows to spot the trap (Only overcome specifically by trap spotter rogue ability). Which I just realized Wraith has!

Spot: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (18) + 16 = 34

Just as the three reach the trap, Wraith spots it and shouts out a warning! You stop quick and avoid the pit. Carefully moving around it, Liv begins to get the hang of the twisting tunnels.

After about 15 minutes of hard travel, a heavily worn set of stairs leads from claustrophobic tunnels into an eroded cavern studded with sand-scoured crystals that emit cool, faint light. The jagged foundations are all that’s left of metal walls—the fragments of which now jut from the wall like throwing knives. An immense, intricate, thousand-sided polyhedron made of sky metals floats within a tight series of binding circles. As blasts of air erupt from the polyhedron, the surface’s shattered facets regenerate before being blasted apart on another side.

The metal walls here are demolished. What appear as such on the map are in fact the lowest several inches that remain from the walls, resulting in a mostly open cavern. Near its center floats the 20-foot-diameter faceted orb. The facets represents a riddle, conundrum, or digit in a massive combination lock. The binding circles are rune-carved solid ring of gemstone inlaid in the ground. The light in here is dim, and random bursts of wind buffet you from time to time.

The Polyhedron is in light blue; the other "circles" are arcane binding rings.

I'll go ahead and give some more guidance since Argenta asked; (I always like to see what people will do if they aren't prompted to a specific course of action, which is why I often leave it open ended until somebody specifically asks what can we do. Trying to encourage creative solutions!)

Breaking the Circles: You can attempt to identify the properties of the binding circles using knowledge arcana or planes. You can also attempt to "destroy" them using physical "attacks" they have hardness and hps or disable device checks.

Solving the Puzzle Orb - You can make a discovery using Appraise, Disable Device, Intelligence, Knowledge (religion), Wisdom, or Use Magic Device; or a harder Knowledge (any), Linguistics, or Perception check.

You gain a cumulative +1 bonus on skill check for each of the following languages you can read and understand: Abyssal, Aquan, Auran, Ignan, and Terran.

Discoveries can lead to successes for the house.

So your choices are knowledge check on the rings, attack or attempt to disable the rings, or try to decipher the orb...everyone gets 1 action at this time.

@Lasaraleen - are you asking whether you can use sunder on the rings...sure if you prefer to roll CMB over attack roll that is fine.

Liv and Argenta move to the orb and try to decipher the complex runes. As they start the runes themselves seem somehow distorted. Then a sudden panic hits both of them!

Liv and Argenta need a Will save v. Fear effect

Despite the fear they face both are able to solve some of the riddles or move facets into a better position.

Kavor's Adamantine Waraxe cuts through the red gemstones which spark with strange energy. He's done a great deal of damage, but the binding circle is still operating. Wraith however, can't seem to disable the purple ring, she's missing something.
