He has decided to sit and admire the new greatsword looking over it all to see what is on it and within it, at least the best he can. With the appearance of the lizard he looks up and asks, "So where are the others..." Realizing the lizard is too cold to talk he waits looking back at the sword covered in runes and green energy. While waiting he asks Niche, "So what rune will you take today?"

Matthew waits until the lizard relays its information then stands up from the wall. He pulls his greatsword from the ground and asks, "They may have bypassed the first two levels using that access. Do you want to follow them or shall I begin to guide?"

The doorway collapsed, followed by the floor. Reflexively the elf twisted and turned, avoiding the worst of the damage. His supernatural physique turned a potentially dangerous situation into a meee bruise.

Rosa tried but then just ignored the falling Rock, she was to large to get out the way.

Niche:
Matthew in his full armor leads as the nearly naked Aukan follows with the new sword in one hand and the giant maul in the other. Making it to the bottom of the stairs with no problems. You begin navigating a maze with skeletons and a few wights popping up in squads. You three easily dispatch the undead. With Matthew leading he is able to guide you to another grand staircase that leads down into catacombs. Focusing on staying on the main route he gets even lower. Soon finding a complex of rough hewn caves and tunnels.

As the floor AND ceiling gives way, the dwarf presses against the wall, old fingers burring into the stonework and the dark-wooded staff is used like a climbing hook.
As soon as the rockslide has stopped, Snowbeard cirps and the King sitting atop the staff leaves his unmoving post and starts to grow as its powerful scissors find easy hold in the shaft.
With a groan, the dwarf mounts his mount which then casually climbs down the sheer shaft without any signs of trouble.
Using my familar-mount, refluffed as a riding gecko - which has a climb speed and always-on spider-climb effect - to get down to the others in style.

He grins and appears to shiver less clutching to the folds of the clothing as he presses his cold skin to yours Niche.

"Oh I don't know until I get a scent." He states simply smiling with the warmth spreading through his body.

He nods simply and leads the two of you along the way. Finding the maze he offers, "We should head to the only entrance to the ice caverns, that is likely where we will find the group."

As you likely agree, Matthew leads on....

Within the maze you feel that you are lost and don't see how Matthew can tell where he is going. Though he leads you away from most traps and navigating around those that you find, pointing out where to step and where not to step.


Even with Matthew's great memory you soon find yourself seeing a minotaur at the end of the 10 foot wide hallway before you. The battle-worn axe and scarred leather armor born by this sun bleached minotaur woman mark her as a seasoned combatant. She is 40 feet away. Though if you perceive her, you may act in surprise and possibly round 1 before she can act.

Meanwhile the other group chooses to push on, no one says how or where you push to so I will pick for you! Taking the large tunnel that has chunks of flame either on the top of the liquid or on the wall. Soon you find yourself in a very large room, assuming you all avoid the fires. This room appears to have been carved out to be like a colosseum and you are on the battle floor. Two gates opposite of you open, they are about 400 feet away, you can see strange large leopard like creatures burst forth charging towards your group. A portcullis drops behind the group, then several more do in succession. Heroes act after the leopards charge into the colosseum about 400 feet away.

He drops his warhammer to the ground taking his new weapon in both hands as he moves forward. After the first step his dark black full plate armor covers his body in an instant. A dark green design is inlaid all over the plates, it appears to glow now as before it did not. Likely following the others towards the threat.

Round 1

If none notice her before Matthew leads the charge forward, his greatsword resting on his shoulder. Getting close he would lift the sword off his shoulder going for an overhead chop. Though there is no room for the action in the confined hallway and he would then pull his short sword at the last moment letting the large sword clatter to the ground and trying to take advantage of the change of weapons at the last second.

He will snap his feet together as well, teleporting behind the minotaur slashing the small sword into the monstrous creature's flesh. Blood squirts from the small wound as he stands in a defensive stance. A trail of red flames only shows his passage.

Aukan charges forward swinging from the side with his green great sword with all his fury. The blade catches the far wall making sparks as it arcs towards it's intended victim. Luckily with Matthew distracting her with a flank he is able to get through her defenses.

The dwarf flings a hand towards the leopard-thing and a bolt of thick spider web flies towards the rear-leopard, threatening it to get entangled in thick, fast-spreading webs.

The old dwarf starts to mutter under his breath again, as if talking to someone else entirely.
"Aye, t'ere are many.

After a few muttered, arcane syllabyls and hand gestures, the dwarf gets large, the breads of his white beard flying as if caught in a strong wind.
Maybe your eyes are mistaken, but it seems to be glowing in a very faint, blue shimmer.

Davian steps in the middle of the group, readying themselves for battle. Raising his hands high, the desnan cleric invokes his goddess's name and casts [I]Bless on the group of defenders.
Each ally gains a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls and on saving throws against fear effects for 4 minutes.

The group casts spells to impede the coming stampede of large felines as well as boosting their allies. Some merely stood shoulder to shoulder waiting for the coming threat. With a pit at the groups left the circle turns into a semi circle only needing to focus on a few attackers at a time.

Round 3

The large leopards with snakes from their backs charge in with a pounce. Large Rosa and Snowbeard are out in front with Lidras between them. Thus putting Davian, Annwyn, and Serill in the back out of range of melee. Though Lidras is out of melee healing from Davian.

Only four of the leopards can reach you at a time the others crowd behind them releasing their breath at the large targets. Snowbeard, Lidras and Rosa need to make three Fortitude saves DC 17 vs. sleep.

Snowbeard might be able to negate the first leopard from striking him with its claws, bite, and snakes with a successful grapple the other should be able to get through. 6 damage from the bite, 6 from a claw, and no bites from the snakes.
Rosa takes the brunt of the attacks with her armor but the large claws of the leopard rip through or find an exposed point, tearing flesh and blood can be seen. 7 damage from one claw and 7 from another.

Davian was hit by a illusion and quickly recovers seeing through it and realizes she is still standing next to him. He easily heals her and Old Snowbeards minor wounds as they come. The leopards seem driven and continue to come at you even with their breathern slaughtered before them. Several more minutes pass as you take down the rest of the pack. How long does the web last snowbeard?
